The current bed arrangements consist of A Large King bed in the "Jefe's Master Suite, a Queen Bedroom and a King Bedroom (with the option for a small twin bed best suited for a child).

Conveniently located between the towns of Dominical, Dominicalito, and Uvita within the trendy neighborhood of Escalaras, Villa La Luna is an easy 3 1/2 hour drive from the international airport in San Jose (SJO). (Seasonally, you can catch a 15 minute flight from SJO on the local airline – SANSA – that will bring you within 30 minutes of
the villa.)

Newly constructed in November 2015, Villa La Luna is stunning! Pass through entry gates, open the two over-sized, hand crafted wooden front doors and step up to one of the most dramatic, white water ocean views in all of Costa Rica. Yes, including the world famous "whales tail" located just off the coast of Marino Ballena National Park. Imagine lounging by the pool and glancing up to see a humpback whale breaching just beyond the rock formation named for these magnificent creatures! After you catch your breath, settle into your 3,650 square foot retreat, a "Tropical Modern Masterpiece" surrounded by gardens and lush jungle.

The villa is perfectly placed at 1250 feet above sea level. This elevation allows for a milder temperature and ocean breezes that make Villa La Luna a perfect vacation spot year round....even (especially) in the green season!

Villa La Luna invites seamless indoor-outdoor living. Inside, the open floor plan living area offers diverse seating and a Large Flat Screen TV equipped with NETFLIX. The fiber optic internet is capable of streaming Netflix on your devices as well throughout the house. The spacious gourmet kitchen features a custom cedar island clad in cascading white quartz, stainless steel appliances and teak dining stools.
But the best of Costa Rican living and entertaining occurs outdoors. At Villa La Luna, the living room opens up with "Europa Style" accordion folding glass doors to the outdoor patio where lounge chairs overlook the 30 foot long, infinity edge "Bali Stone" pool. The patio also includes a commercial grade stainless steel lighted outdoor kitchen with built-in four burner gas grill, wet bar, wine fridge and prep sink, complemented by a custom-made Guanacaste dining table that comfortably seats eight. On the lawn beyond the pool is a fire pit where you can gather and share stories into the evening.

Villa La Luna has 3 bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, and an additional half bath adjacent to the living area. Each bedroom has teak floors, pillow top mattresses, A/C, and unobstructed ocean and jungle views from the sliding doors. The master suite is enormous with a super comfy king bed and a large walk-in closet. The indoor/outdoor shower opens to the jungle and a magnificent view of the South Pacific, welcoming the sounds of nature and the refreshing ocean breezes.
The surrounding jungle is filled with tropical ornamentals and exotic wildlife . You will share the neighborhood with toucans, sloths, turkeys, anteaters, monkeys, iguanas, colorful tropical birds, white tailed hawks and more. (Approximately 20% of the earth’s species reside in Costa Rica, even though the country represents less than 1% of the earth's land mass.)

Optional Services: Housekeepers will come to clean in the middle of your stay if your stay lasts 7 days or longer. Additional maid services can be arranged for an additional fee of $30 per day. Security: Villa La Luna is equipped with a safe to store your passports and valuables (including laptops). Around the exterior perimeter of the house there are infrared/high definition cameras, motion detectors, and a state-of-the-art alarm system for our clients’ peace of mind. All cameras are outside the villa, and are positioned in such a way as to never intrude on our guests’ privacy. The cameras are there for everyone's safety/security and are a requirement of Costa Rican insurance companies.
Activities: Your very own, complimentary concierge, Juli, can help you select from among the many things to do here in Costa Rica. Juli will arrange fishing trips, snorkeling, jungle tours, white water rafting, canopy tours, horse back excursions to swimming holes and water falls, whale/dolphin watching, spa services, private chef, grocery deliveries and more to ensure that your stay at Villa la Luna is unforgettable. Your activities might include visiting the Hacienda Baru Wildlife Refuge, taking the Osa Mountain canopy tour, seeing Nauyaca Falls on horseback, strolling down a secluded beach, or surfing. Just about every type of excursion and adventure tour that Costa Rica offers is within 30 minutes of the villa. The Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary is just 500 meters north of Villa La Luna, and there are numerous walking trails nearby.
Dining: There are many excellent dining options in Dominical, Uvita, or Ojochal, described by Lonely Planet as the region’s “culinary epicenter”. If you prefer to dine at home but want to indulge yourself, arrange for Chef Royner to prepare your evening meal (see Optional Services). For groceries, the market in Dominical has almost everything you might need. For more variety, there is a bigger supermarket (BM) in Uvita. A wide range of stores can be found in San Isidro El General, the largest city in the region, which is about 40 minutes away.
