2010 Chatham Preservation Award Empfänger

Dieses Kap aus dem Jahr 1820 wurde 2008 komplett restauriert und kombiniert ein klassisches Äußeres mit einem traditionellen Interieur. Gleichzeitig genießen Sie die Annehmlichkeiten eines modernen Hauses, einschließlich einer zentralen Klimaanlage.

Ein charmantes Haus mit architektonischen Details wie breiten Pinienböden und zwei Kaminen befindet sich in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße, nur zwei Blocks von den Geschäften in der Main Street und drei Blocks vom Oyster Pond entfernt.

Die erste Etage verfügt über einen offenen Grundriss mit einer Küche mit maßgefertigten Schränken, Gourmetgeräten und Granitarbeitsplatten, einem Essbereich und einem Familienraum mit Flachbildfernseher / DVD. Darüber hinaus verfügt die erste Etage über ein kleines Wohnzimmer, ein Büro mit Highspeed-Internet und eine Gästetoilette mit stapelbarer Waschmaschine und Trockner.

Im zweiten Stock gibt es ein Hauptschlafzimmer und ein Badezimmer mit Marmordusche und Whirlpool, ein zweites Schlafzimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten, ein Badezimmer mit Dusche und ein drittes Zimmer mit einer Liege. Dies ist der perfekte Ort für einen Spaziergang in die Stadt, zum Strand und zu vielen Aktivitäten, die im schönen Chatham angeboten werden!

Charm and location in Chatham

The house is historic and beautifully redone. It’s very tastefully decorated and at the same time was extremely comfortable for our family of five. The location was perfect for us as we could walk to both the Oyster Pond and Main Street. We come to Chatham almost every Summer, and this is by far our favorite home. Would love to stay longer on our next trip.

Just as perfect as it looks

We truly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was charming and beautifully restored, but still had all the modern conveniences you expect from a home rental, maybe even beyond what you would expect. It was even nicer than it looks in pictures. Great location for walking into town in a quiet, private neighborhood. We could not think of a single criticism. Would happily stay again.

Perfection in Chatham

This house is a GEM. My family of four (son 3, daughter 1) stayed for week in this beautiful home and could not have had a better experience. Perfect location - walking distance to town and Oyster pond. The rooms are all stunning, spacious and feel brand new. Closet in the master bedroom was so nice! I honestly don't think the photos do it justice! Cannot wait to go back.

Perfect stay in Chatham. Barbara is an amazing host. The house is beyond gorgeous and Barbara has thoughtfully provided everything you could want from loads of extra toilet paper to a really well stocked kitchen. The house is a dream!

My two children, my wife, and I all had a great week at this house in Chatham. Beautiful period architecture and a wonderful near-town location made for a fun stay. We’d happily return here in the future.

Lovely landscaped yard. Home was nicely appointed & clean. Walkable to town.

We had a wonderful time exploring the Cape with friends and the location of this rental was perfect. Chatham was our favorite town. The home was lovely, roomy, quaint, clean, and comfortable for all. We would highly reccomend this property. And the whale watching tour out of Barnstable was awesome.

Beautiful home in a peaceful location

We had a wonderful stay at Barbara’s home. The house has been beautifully restored and was incredibly clean and well cared-for. The outside spaces are perfect for morning coffee and evening aperos/grilling. We even took to the lawn for a game of croquet! Barbara is a great host - clear, responsive and thoughtful. We look forward to coming back!

Amazing rental

This rental in the adorable town of Chatham was perfect for a girls weekend away. The house was exactly as pictured, if not better. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking gear and utensils. Two sitting areas on each side of the house, made for a nice place for a morning cup of coffee. Barbara was easy to communicate with and very timely with her response. I would definitely stay here again! For those renting in the times of Covid, the house was beyond clean, so nothing to worry about there!

Great house in a great location!

This house was such a great place to stay, it had everything we needed & it was very clean! Beautiful open floor plan downstairs, large master suite with walk in closet & gorgeous bathroom. Great rooms for our 2 kids as well. The walk into town is perfect, you never have to drive. Barbara communicates with you in a very timely manner for any of your needs. We definitely can’t wait to stay here again next year!

Perfect cape escape

This beautifully restored cottage is in a desirable town location. We enjoyed walking to Kate Gould park, the grist mill and labyrinth many days of our stay. This cottage was tastefully decorated, well appointed, comfortable and gracious for our family's stay. The owners were helpful and responsive when we had questions. The center of Town is a 6 minute walk and we enjoyed evening strolls for dinner and shopping often. We can't wait for our return visit next summer!

Cannot wait to return next year!

We (myself, husband, children ages 10 and 8, and my mother) just returned home from a wonderful week in Chatham. Having rented houses in town for the past 8 years, this is our absolute favorite. This beautifully renovated home, tucked at the end of a little lane almost directly behind The Squire's parking lot, is SPOTLESSLY clean and offers every amenity one would desire in a vacation home. Lush landscaping provides a privacy barrier from most neighboring houses. Not once did we see another car on the road and the kids felt very grown up being able to ride their bikes up and down the street all week long. Although we did not often need the central air conditioning, we did appreciate it on the one humid day we had. The house is large enough that we could spread out, so on the rainy day, everyone had his or her own space to relax. Board games and books line the built-in shelves in the family room, and the kids appreciated having a DVD player. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly all week. The owners provided a basket with information about the area, tourist books, pamphlets, etc. They also provided a "Go Green" bag with cleaning products, paper towels, dish washing liquid, etc., which we appreciated. Several friends were also renting in town, and this property was perfect for us to gather for dinner. There are two outdoor patios and a nice yard in which the kids could play The open floor plan and large kitchen island made meal prep and socializing a pleasure. The house is just about two blocks from Main Street, and the five-minute walk puts you in the heart of shopping and restaurants. The kids loved riding their bikes to Oyster Pond to swim, and one could walk or bike to Lighthouse Beach, the baseball field, and most other Chatham attractions. If you wanted to leave town, you could easily avoid the traffic on Main Street and at the rotary by taking back roads. The generously sized master bedroom and bath provided a tranquil retreat. The second bedroom had two twin beds and a bathroom with a nicely sized shower. To get to the extra room/third bedroom (twin bed with a trundle), you could either pass through the twin bedroom or ascend the steep second stairway that leads up from the family room. There's a small t.v. with cable in this extra room/third bedroom. The owners were friendly and communicative and made the rental process a pleasant and smooth one. We hope to return for years to come and we highly recommend this property
