Winters in Crested Butte offer alpine skiing and snowboarding at Mt. Crested
Butte. There is snowshoeing, cross country skiing and ice skating available in
town at The Nordic Center just a few blocks away. For the adventurous
skiers, there is snow cat skiing available. Other winter activities include ice
fishing, dog sledding. Several companies offer snowmobiling out Kebler Pass.
The summer months bring hiking, bicycling, rock climbing, fishing, horseback
riding, golfing, rafting and camping. All these activities are available just
minutes from the house.
The Town of Crested Butte offers excellent restaurants and shopping,
including a coffee shop/bakery right across the street. The town hosts
several festivals throughout the year to include the Wildflower Festival, the
Crested Butte Art Festival and the Summer Concert Series. In addition on
Sundays in the summer, there is a Farmer's Market right outside the front
door.
