What a perfect setting--very quiet and private. We loved Christel and Chad's place. I really liked the decor. It had all the amenities we needed (washer/dryer, grill, very comfortable king bed, hooks to hang jackets). Our favorite space was the private beach with the fire pit.

The house was well cleaned and prepped for the stay. Everything was decorated beautifully and the hosts communicated ahead of time of any outages due to weather. Very professional and considerate with willingness to accommodate. The beach and large outside fire pit was perfect to relax and enjoy the sounds of the waves against the shore. Definetly would recommend for anyone looking for a cozy environment with a walk out beach that feel secluded. Also only a 20 minute drive from lake of the clouds beautiful scenic views.

Had a great stay here. Christel was extremely responsive and accommodating. We rented here, in part, to be able to experience a dark sky and Christel helped us get all of the outdoor lights turned off. The dark sky nights here were a thrill. Also very close to the Porkies and some amazing waterfalls. The view from the house of the Lake Superior is lovely. April is an interesting time in the Porkies - the park roads are closed but the winter sports area is open for hiking and snowshoeing. We were there during the spring melt which is lovely if you can time it right (before it becomes mud season!). The house itself is beautiful and well maintained and very quiet. One caveat - the water does have a metallic taste - we always travel with our own water so it wasn't an issue for us. Just something to keep in mind, certainly not a reason to miss this gorgeous house in a great location.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The pictures show the property pretty well. The lighted path to the water is cool and the beach set up is very relaxing and nice. We stayed in late October at the tail end of the color season but I imagine this property is great to stay at during all seasons.

We had an excellent stay and couldn’t have been happier with this rental. We visited in the middle of winter with plenty of snow, and the property was absolutely beautiful! The driveway was plowed, access was easy, and the house stayed warm and cozy the entire time.The extra pillows and blankets were such a thoughtful touch, and the beds were honestly the most comfortable we’ve ever had at a vacation rental, that alone made a huge difference in our stay. Everything was very clean and clearly well cared for.Communication was great from start to finish, and we really appreciated all the extra information about the area and local activities.We would absolutely book again and highly recommend this property to anyone considering a stay!

This was our second year staying here and it was perfect! The house is clean, well stocked, and the beds are very comfortable. The fireplace was nice to have on the chillier mornings. The beach access on Lake Superior is beautiful! It was nice to fire up the outdoor fireplace on the deck and relax on the comfy outdoor furniture. We are looking forward to a return trip next year!

Great place to stay. Loved being able to walk on the beach and see Lake Superior’s waves crashing in while sitting at the kitchen table. Our host was very attentive to us and gave us instructions ahead of the check-in date. The rental was spotless. We hope to come next year and we will pray that the weather will be better so we can use the facility to its full potential. Thank you for sharing your blessing!

We are often referred to as the Manson 3, or the three best friends. Chad and Christel have been married for 24 years, and have an amazing son, Connor, who started college in 2025. We have two amazing Schnauzer puppies, and love all the things about the UP.

We have been coming to this area for 20 years, and had been looking for the exact right spot for a year or so. When Christel walked into the home she knew this was her happy place. Everything about it screamed us, and we couldn't be happier about the decision!

This home is remote, yet right off a main road. It has a beautiful beach on Superior. It provides solitude and many activities. It really is a piece of heaven.
