Welcome to our Recreation Retreat!

Looking for that perfect getaway?

Come enjoy the Sierra National Forest and explore everything it has to offer. We invite you to enjoy our family cabin and take a quick drive to cool off at Shaver Lake. During the winter months we recommend you check out our local ski resort China Peak which is just a 20 mile drive out our front door. Enjoy our local shops and restaurants that are just minutes away and have lots to offer.

Our 2100 square foot cabin was recently updated and can accommodate up to 10 guests. Down stairs there is 1 full bathroom, a full kitchen, living room, large laundry room, and a cozy game room that will sleep up to 5 guests. The game room is a perfect option for families with kids as we have a beautiful barn door that will separate the living areas, and parents can enjoy a little quiet time. Off the back French doors you will find a nice deck to enjoy the fresh mountain air. You will find 2 spacious guest rooms, and a large master suite up stairs with 2 more full bathrooms. Our property has parking for up to 3 vehicles (during winter months 1 vehicle must be in garage due to snow plow). (Disclaimer: there are outdoor security cameras for the safety of the cabin as it sits empty when not rented)

Our goal is to make our cabin bring as much joy to families as it does to ours. Great location

We had a great stay at this property! It was perfect for our group of 8 (4 adults and 4 kids). The location is ideal and super close to town and an easy drive up to the Sno-Parks! We loved that the house is on a quiet road and the kids could play in the snow out front. Would rent again!

Leah’s cabin was great. It’s close to other cabins which was the only downside if you’re looking for open outside space. Best stocked kitchen I’ve seen in a VRBO. Kids loved the bunk beds. No AC but the whole house fan worked great.

Great get away!

We really enjoyed this cabin. It was clean and well stocked. Communication with the owner was easy and prompt. It did get a little warm in August but the attic fan was helpful. Looking forward to visiting again.

Beautiful and very welcoming

I grew up going to Shaver Lake as a child and wanted to share my experience with my children and grandchildren. It was amazing and we had the best time being together. Because of the size of the cabin we all had our own space. We cooked or barbecued every night. The kitchen is full of dishes and pots and pans. The washer and dryer were definitely an add plus. We hope to stay here again next summer.

Great location, beautiful cabin, and great hosts that were easy to community with.

Plenty of space, very clean, and great location. Cabin was perfect for our family - kids had their own game/bunk room to go hang out in. Cabin was actually nicer than the pictures. Host was wonderfully helpful and easy to get ahold of with any questions. Thanks!!

Wonderful property!

We stayed at this house over Labor Day weekend and had a wonderful time! There were 10 of us (4 adults and 6 kids) and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house was conveniently located and was a close drive for lake access. The house was spotless and so inviting! The kids loved the game room and foosball was definitely a family favorite. Leah was wonderful to communicate with. I highly recommend this awesome house!

Great Family Vacation Cabin

You can tell this is someone’s looked after and loved over cabin - not just a rental. This cabin offered great logistics - ease of access to Shaver Lake Village, bedroom setup, etc. Beyond that though, this cabin is loved after by its owners. You’re staying in their mountain home and it shows. It’s well appointed with cooking utensils, great mountain themed dishware. Great job. Our family of course gravitated to foos ball in the evenings.

Best cabin ever❣️❣️❣️

Our family had the BEST time😊. The cabin was so clean felt like home. Everything you needed was there for your use. So close to the town of Shaver and Shaver marine we were able to rent a slip for our pontoon to use everyday. The cabin was close to many hiking trails that we enjoyed. We were having so much fun our grandkids 2 two year olds and 1one year old didn’t want to leave on the last day. This is the only cabin we will ever rent in the Shaver area😊. Thank you Leah and Kyle

Amazing week at the cabin!

We had our previous cabin cancel on us 2 days before our week long trip to Shaver. We found this cabin last minute and they did everything they could to make our vacation still happen! They responded within minutes and were beyond helpful. When we arrived everything was so clean and beautiful. With Covid we felt very safe staying in the cabin. It was fully stocked and we had everything we needed all week. Close to town and daily activities. I would book this cabin again in a heart beat! We loved it so much we added an extra day to our trip last minute!

Can't get any cleaner than this!

First and foremost, you can tell that they put lots of time and energy into cleaning this rental. We walked in and it smelled soooooo clean. Everything about this house was perfect; the bedroom sizes, the organization in the kitchen, the bunk room, etc. The decor is even how I would like my lake home to be. I am not a fan of carpet and all the upstairs bedrooms had carpet, BUT I did not mind it in this house. It looked like brand-new carpet and extremely soft. We will definitely be staying here again.

A+++ Stay at A+++ Property

Wow! That's about the only word I can use to describe our stay at this GORGEOUS Shaver Lake property! While we had hoped we'd have 8 adults staying, it ended up being only 4 for 1 night and then 2 for the other 2 nights. Everything was just as depicted and described, but better. We cooked all our meals "in" and never had to ask, "Where's the ______?" Plenty of serving tools, teapot, baking sheets, a rolling pin, crockpot and large bowls for serving salads, etc... Nothing missing at all. Communication before and after was perfect. Speedy responses and super informative. Check-in and check-out was EASY. Leah was the perfect "Goldilocks" host. Not TOO much, not too little, but "JUST PERFECT". I highly recommend and know we will be returning again. It feels like a different world at Shaver. Hard to believe it's just one hour from our home in Clovis! THANK YOU, Leah and Kyle!

Great location!!

Property was clean and squared away. Awesome little area for the kids to play and have fun in the snow. The check in and out process was simple and the property owners left a binder of local shops and snow parks, which helped out greatly. Very Nice place!!!

It is Great cabin house for a big family, couldn’t enjoy the outdoors bc of the yellow jackets which my kids are scared of all types of bugs… Lol. However, everything was a awesome experience from cooking to sleeping! Having all my kids and grandkids under one roof:). Thank you

Hi,
We bought this cabin for our family of 4 just after the devastating creek fire. We fell in love with Shaver Lake in March of 2020 after renting a property during a beautiful snow storm. We've lived in the central valley for almost 15 years now and seeing our boys enjoy the scenery were memories we just wouldn't forget. We are a very active family and enjoy the lake life immensely. We look forward to teaching our boys to snow board, wakeboard and fish and enjoy the beautiful outdoors more than ever now. We are a quick 50 minute drive away, and hope your family will enjoy this cabin as much as we do!
