La Bahia #7, high up overlooking beautiful blue Half Moon Bay. Choose this unit for the value and privacy, love it because the view is unmatched.

La Bahia is professionally managed and the attention to detail shows. The staff is excellent and attentive, just one of the reasons we are happy to have La Bahia on our list for best value.

La Bahia is a four-story condo complex located right in the center of Half Moon Bay. Unit #7 is located on the fourth floor, so no need to worry about missing your regular workout ;). From here you can see the entire bay, watch the sea turtles and parrot fish in the bay, lose time enjoying the view and breeze on your face.

This unit offers great value and a convenient location within a 15 minute walk to Akumal’s restaurants, craft stores, and dive shops. From La Bahia step into Half Moon Bay for great snorkeling or rent a paddle board and explore from above the surface.

La Bahia #7 is a two bedroom, one bath unit. Perfect for a couple or small family. #7 has an oceanside terrace, living / dining area and well equipped kitchen. The principal bedroom is furnished with a queen bed. The second bedroom also has a queen bed. The two bedrooms share a full bath.

KINDLY NOTE: South winds may bring Sargasso Seaweed to some beaches throughout the Caribbean, including the Rivera Maya. While the situation is hard to predict for each specific week and area, we would like you to be aware as there is the potential to impact the beach and water entry.

The Riviera Maya is full of natural beauty, places to explore and opportunities for outdoor activities. We have a great list of activities and adventures completely unaffected by the arrival of sargasso that we would love to share with you. There is so much to see and do in this special place, we know that you will have an amazing and memorable vacation!

Penthouse perfection

Despite the sargassum we really enjoyed our time in half moon bay. The snorkeling was spectacular we even saw a reef shark. Weather was hot with a warm breeze and the nearby restaurants were excellent. We enjoyed having the privacy of our balcony and the water service was a nice addition. Staff was very friendly. Wish we had more beach and hope that there is a solution to the sargassum.

Beautiful and spacious Amazing snorkeling

Room was spacious with spectacular views of Half moon Bay. Snorkelling in Half Moon, just steps from the condo, was amazing. We saw large schools of fish, turtles, squid, rays and huge beautiful coral.

Excellent stay

We only stayed one night but would highly recommend the apartment.The apartment was spotlessly clean and very well equipped.The view from the balcony was spectular.If we stay in this area we would definitely choose to stay here.

Great spot, as advertised!

We were looking for a relaxing stay with a great view and easy access to beach and restaurants. This place delivered from start to finished. They were helpful with the booking and planning our trip process. Check in was smooth and the views were even better in person. Location was just what we wanted- quiet with access. The onsite property management was super helpful and everyone was friendly. Highly recommend!

Nothing short of amazing!

Where to start, I’ve been traveling for some years now and that was hands down the most beautiful, private, unique rental I’ve ever had. If I’m ever back in the area I would definitely rent it again. From the views of the ocean/jungle to the multitude of the stars! An absolute dream vacation stay. I wish I would have rented more time here then where we stayed in playa del Carmen. Fantastic view of HMB

Condo is cozy with awesome views! Very clean when we arrived and maid cleaned every day during our stay. We like the penthouse for the views and steps to the 4th floor did not bother us. We never needed the AC due to the great Carribean breezes. Property is well maintained and very clean. Drinking water is provided. We have stayed here before and love it for the view and price.

Quiet and relaxing

View and breeze fantastic. Flights of stairs not so good. Beach nice private. Sea weed here one day gone the next. Rocky shore line hard to manage. Place was well supplied with snorkeling gear. Beds were comfortable. No pool. Quiet and relaxing. Good for younger folks.

The staff does their best to remove any seagrass that washes into shore overnight. Half Moon Bay is a beautiful sandy beach with a slightly rocky water entrance. Nice deck on beach side to watch the sunrise and back deck overlooking the jungle for sunsets or people watching on the street below. I should have mentioned to maintenance that the windows leaked when we had hard rainstorms. It really wasn’t a problem for us because we were always supplied with plenty of beach towels.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cosy condo was well maintained, clean and in a spectacular location. The building is surrounded by flowers, and beautiful beach! Amazing snorkeling in half moon bay - you could get into the water right from the beach in front of the condo. There are restaurants within walking distance. The condo is on the top floor, with quite a few stairs to get to - in case that is an issue for you, chose a lower unit in the same building. However, if you can do steps, being on the top floor allowed for an unimpeded view of the beach, and ocean, and it felt nice and private as well. We would 100% be delighted to stay here again.

Pleasant experience in Akumal

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was as described, it is up a series of stairs and is at the top floor overlooking the bay. We were thankful to have A/C as it would have been unbearable without it. We had all we needed, they supplied fresh water as part of our stay and we had regular cleaning service. We appreciated that the home is in a neighborhood that has a gate and requires confirmation for entry. Additionally, the front desk staff and security staff were kind and helpful. There was an issue with the gas line as part of their normal repair and they were prompt in responding. I would certainly stay here again if I were visiting the area.
