Great condo within walking distance to the slopes and the free shuttle bus!

This well decorated 2 bedroom/2 bath condo is located just a short walk from the base area and free shuttle bus to the town of Crested Butte- right across the street! It has newly updated bathrooms, a gas fireplace, a flat screen TV and a deck with an amazing view of Mt. Crested Butte. Enjoy the convenience of skiing in for lunch and for après ski. May accommodate up to seven people.

Bedrooms as follows: [1] King, [2] Queen and Twin. The living room has a Queen sofa sleeper. New mattresses as of August 2023!

*First Tracks is a free shuttle service that will transport you to and from the base area during the winter and summer months. All of the information you need is located in the property binder once you arrive.

Book through Peak Property Management and Sales and receive special discounts for ski and snowboard rentals through Christy Sports and Black Tie Ski Rentals!

**This property is pet friendly. Our pet policy is as follows. We allow up to two dogs in the property. There is a $250 refundable pet deposit and a $15 a day pet fee per dog. We do not allow cats.**

PARKING: Due to the minimal parking available, no more than one vehicle such as cars, vans, trucks, motorcycles, etc. shall be kept, maintained or allowed on the property of Alpine Condominiums for each residential condominium unit. You will be provided with one parking pass upon arrival. There is nowhere to park on Mt. CB overnight, if you are traveling with two vehicles you will have to park in town and adhere to the snow removal schedule. Please have a plan in place before arrival. We under no circumstance can issue an additional parking pass.

**We require one of two options for you regarding damage protection. We recommend you purchase damage protection for $55. This covers you for up to $3,000 in damages that could occur to the property during your stay. Or you can choose to pay a $1000 refundable damage deposit. When booking directly online please let us know in the notes which option you would like.**

**Please note: until confirmed with a deposit and executed rental agreement, vacation rental availabilities are subject to change. Each property is individually owned and/or managed.**

Awesome stay!

Overall, we loved the convenient location and setup for our small family. The building is closer than walking from the lots, and the shuttle bus to town is convenient as well. The rental could use some updating and better TV/app options, but let’s face it - you shouldn’t be prioritizing that on a ski trip.

The accommodations were perfect for my family and parents. And it was dog friendly, too! It was walking distance to the base area which was nice for the 4th of July festivities.

Excellent location for skiing!!

My husband and I stayed with one other couple and brought our boxer dog. Location to skiing and to the bus stop for getting into town was phenomenal. The only downside is that there is only one on-site parking spot. We went into town daily, so it wasn’t a problem to switch our extra car to the opposite side of the street (for plowing) each day. Hosts were very communicative and accommodating. Would stay here again!

Winter Wonderland!

Our family of 5 (plus the dog) was very comfortable in this condo for our week long ski adventure! The location is perfect - just a quick 5 minute walk to the base of the mountain and the bus for downtown CB excursions. The view of the peak from the balcony was a bonus! The kitchen was adequate for quick basic meals to stave off hunger. We would stay here again next time we are in the area!

Nice location but quite a bit of traffic noise. Notified on arrival that dryer wasn’t working - found out that washer wasn’t working correctly either, so wasted an afternoon at the laundromat. Washer/dryer was one of our main criteria for renting. Unit needs to be refreshed - lots of chipped paint, screen door won’t stay in position, etc. Maintenance was quick to come to fix broken toilet seat. Losing says sleeps 7 but there were only 5 glasses and 2 of those were jars. Plenty of shot/wineglasses. Nice partial view if the Butte from balcony. Overall pretty good but needs a little attention.

You can’t beat this location! Clean and comfortable for my family of 5. Great place!

This condo is right across the street from the ski mountain, so it was an easy walk each day. The table sits 8. The couches sit 5. The king bed and bedding are very nice. The queen in the 2nd bedroom wasn’t that comfortable. The twin in the 2nd bedroom was nice and soft. Clean place. We would stay here again!

Fantastic Stay

This property was perfect! It was SO clean and comfortable. We brought our pup and it was so easy to come home to let him out and go right back to skiing. It was right across the street from the lifts. The place was small, but cozy. Beds were comfortable. Lots of thought given for additional storage. Great to have a washer and dryer. Only recommendation would be TVs in the bedrooms if possible. I would definitely, definitely, definitely stay here again!

Convenient location

The property is located across the street from the lifts and some shops which is very convenient. The place is pretty minimally stocked/decorated and had a strange odor. The towels were dingy and there were no bath mats. The rooms are small and very bright- especially with car lights at night as you are on the bottom floor. Expensive for quality of the place.

Great Condo - Super Clean!

The stay went great! The condo is SUPER clean and had everything we needed. The listing states you can only park 1 vehicle per unit--which I understand. HOWEVER... there's no place to park a second vehicle overnight in town!! We checked at the Visitor Center in CB, and she said the only place to park overnight is at Walmart in Gunnison. That is UNACCEPTABLE! We'd appreciate you investigating where we can park a second vehicle in the future. Thank you.

Cindy, you are always allowed to park on the side streets in the town of Crested Butte. In the winter, keep in mind, that you have to move to the opposite side of the street for plowing purposes. So close

This condo is SO close! Less than 5 minute walk to the lift. The kitchen is smaller than some, and right in the living room. So there’s not a lot of lounging space. It would be nice to have a TV in the master, but not a deal breaker. The pots and pans are slim. Glad I cooked everything before we came so it was easy to reheat. There are good and bads with this condo. But over all I would definitely recommend. Just be aware that you should come prepared.

Decent place for family stay

Overall decent place for our family ski trip. The pros outweigh the cons, but there were lots of little things that could really help make the place even better. Pros: closeness to base area, bathrooms were very clean, full kitchen was great as we cook daily, bedroom setup was good for our family of 4, dog friendly, and having a washer/dryer was nice. Fireplace was great, too. Cons: needed a lot of basic handiwork (cabinets had loose hinges, every dresser drawer needed lubed, every door and faucet handle squeaked which made it tough to be quiet at night); There was no grill as shown in the listing photos; Blackout shades in the rooms would be nice (headlights throughout the night and later sunset made it hard for kids to settle at night). The biggest issue we had was that the mountain-side set of stairs as shown in the description were completely iced over and inaccessible. Whoever is in charge of that really dropped the ball. We booked this place anticipating an easy walk out of the unit and across the street to the base area. We ended up having to walk around the back lot and around a second building to access the street. A bit inconvenient for adults, but definitely frustrating when you have young kids who now have a longer walk in ski gear. Overall, it worked out fine and it was nice to have the extra space to spread out for the week's stay.

We don't advertise the grill on the amenities. However, there was a photo of the deck with the grill in it that we took down to avoid any confusion. 2. I informed our maintenance team about the items in the house that could use some tightening up! Thank you for letting us know. 3. We (Peak Property Management) unfortunately don't manage the HOA at the unit, so we can't guarantee if and when the stairs are cleared out. I let the HOA know about your concerns. The location is fantastic. We walked 5-10 min to the lifts each day and were able to take the public bus into town. We didn’t rent a car and didn’t miss it! The place is comfortable and clean. There are two full bathrooms, two bedrooms (one has a queen bed and one has two twin beds). There is also a pullout couch in the living room. The kitchen has a stove, microwave, dishwasher and all the basic cooking equipment needed for most meals. It was a really great place to stay with friends and family. Overall, would recommend this stay, but there are a few thing you need to watch out for it you book this property: 1. Plugging the address for the property into Google maps leads you to a different location ~5-7 minutes away. Plug the address into Apple Maps for accurate navigation. 2. Check-in/out is inconvenient. You have to pickup/drop off the keys to the property ~20 minutes away. Budget extra time during arrival and departure for this. 3. Property management emailed most communications to me. I personally found this challenging as I’m used to using VRBO for all VRBO communications. (Note - property management was very pleasant to deal with.) 4. Property management requires you to buy VRBO’s damage protection policy or one of their damage protection policies. Their policies are cheaper than VRBO’s, but I didn’t feel like I could buy theirs because they asked me to pay outside the app. That’s like fraud prevention 101 - never pay outside the app! It would’ve been nice to feel comfortable buying their cheaper protection policy. TLDR: I would return to this comfortable, clean stay in a great location. Just make sure to use Apple Maps for navigation, budget for a 20-30 minute drive to pick up the keys to the unit, manage communication over email, and be prepared to spend more than you need to for a damage policy

Hi Sandy, Thank you so much for the review and we are happy to hear that you overall had a great stay. We appreciate any feedback as that is how we improve! I just want to address a few of your comments. 1. GPS- I plugged the address into Google Maps and the location is taking me directly to the condos. I will add a satellite photo to the directions to help any future confusion! 2. Picking up keys - I totally understand this is a pain. We are working on all owners switching to keyless entry, but until then, this is the best solution. Typically it adds on 10 minutes as guests pass CB South on their way to the mountain. It's always okay for guests to drop keys back off on their way out of town after their departure. 3. I will work on communication staying on the VRBO app. We manage all lof the properties and upload them to VRBO so our main source of communication is via email. I will work on adding this to the description so guests are aware. 4. Damage protection - we do state in every description of all of our properties that this has to be purchased and we include information about ours so guests can decide what works best for them. We have a secured payment system and all VRBO information you enter is transferred to our system so it's very easy for us to take secure payments. Hope this helps and again, thanks for the feedback.
