Stone house with quiet garden ideal for families and hikers

We are renting out our country house for just a few weeks this summer, hoping you’ll enjoy your stay as much as we have over the past five years.

This charming 90m² stone house is located at the end of a small, quiet hamlet, on the edge of the woods. It offers absolute peace, with a clear view (a stunning sunset over the Puy de Dôme and Clermont-Ferrand, just 100 meters from the house). Facing south, it stays cool in the summer, and opens up to a private, enclosed garden with no overlooking neighbors. The house has all the necessary comforts for a relaxing vacation, surrounded by nature. Walking trails are immediately accessible from the garden.

Outdoor space: A 300m² enclosed garden with a stone terrace, tables, umbrella, deck chairs, trampoline, and a charcoal BBQ. A ping-pong table is located in the covered outbuilding. Across the path, another private plot provides a shaded spot to have lunch under a magnificent linden tree. Below, you can relax in a hammock, sheltered by apple trees.

Indoor space: On two levels, the house remains cool in summer thanks to its thick stone walls.

On the ground floor, the entrance leads to the dining room, which features a beautiful large table, and connects to the fully equipped kitchen with a dining table, dishwasher, oven, etc., as well as a bathroom and toilet.

Upstairs, a large mezzanine is set up as a lounge with a sofa and a pull-out bed that can accommodate two guests. The mezzanine leads to a room serving as both a TV room and additional sleeping space, with a convertible BZ sofa turning into a comfortable double bed. This room also provides access to the two bedrooms: A spacious master bedroom overlooking the garden, with a comfortable double bed, and a small child’s room with a single bed and a view of the valley. It’s possible to add a comfortable mattress in this room to sleep 2 children (or two adults).

In total, the house offers 8 sleeping spaces: 1 double bed, 1 single bed, 1 mattress, 1 pull-out bed, and a convertible sofa.
