Our stay at Maui Sunset was truly part of a trip of a lifetime. If you’re looking for more of a comfortable home-away-from-home vibe rather than a hotel experience, this is such a great place to stay.Our unit wasn’t the most modern, but that honestly didn’t matter to us—it felt like home. We were a group of five and had plenty of space to be comfortable. Having a full kitchen was a huge bonus, especially when we wanted to cook our own meals, and having laundry right in the unit made such a difference during a longer trip. Our unit also had thoughtful extras like beach chairs, pool noodles, and even a football that we were free to use, which made our beach and pool days that much easier.The grounds at Maui Sunset are absolutely beautiful and so well maintained. We loved the pool—it was clean, well cared for, and had an incredible view toward the beach. The BBQs on the property were another great touch and gave us the chance to have relaxed family BBQ nights without having to go anywhere.And then there were the sunsets. They were incredible. Watching the sunset became a nightly ritual for us, and Maui Sunset really gives you one of the best seats in the house. Those evenings are some of the moments we’ll remember most from our trip.Having the beach so close was another huge highlight. I could grab my morning coffee, walk out of our unit, and be on the beach within about five minutes. There’s something pretty special about being able to start your day like that.A special shout-out has to go to Steve, the building supervisor, who genuinely made our stay even better. He was incredibly helpful, always pleasant, and gave us great tips that helped us experience more of the local Maui vibe. He was such a friendly presence that even our kids would make a point of saying hi to Steve whenever they saw him! Just an all-around great person who added something special to our stay.
