Brookside Retreat - G100 at North Coast Village

Surround yourself with luxury and relaxation! This corner beach condo is located along a bubbling stream amid lush tropical foliage. It is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, single story condo. The charming ocean-inspired interior features a gorgeous wood-look tile fireplace, 1 love seat and a sectional with a queen sofa sleeper (updated 2024), . Quartz countertops and a subway tile backsplash enhance the gourmet kitchen, which is equipped with dishes, pots and pans, and serving pieces. The primary retreat has a new tiled tub/shower combo (updated 2024) and the second bedroom offers a tiled walk-in shower (updated 2024).

Make My Vacation also provides all linens and towels, beach chairs and beach towels. The Living Room TV is provided for your entertainment, as well as free wireless Internet.

North Coast Village offers billiards, ping pong, a new fitness center with sauna, and a barbecue area overlooking the pool for parties. It is located between the Oceanside Harbor and the Oceanside Pier, and is a favorite destination for people around the world. The complex consists of nine three-story buildings surrounded by 2-story cottages, on several acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. You are just steps from the sand; there are no roads to cross-this is an OCEANFRONT COMPLEX! Swim in the lagoon-style heated pool (one of two pools and spas), or enjoy a romantic walk on one of the most beautiful stretches of beach in Southern California. Experience spectacular sunsets and enjoy a relaxing dinner along the picturesque adjacent harbor which features several excellent restaurants, great live music, and fun and unique shopping. There are also kayak, boat, and paddle boat rentals, and fishing or whale watching excursions. You will also find reserved garage parking; cable television; recreation center; clubhouse with kitchen, massive stone fireplace and cedar walls; laundry facilities.

The apartment was nice with clear directions. There seemed to be no air conditioning so windows had to be open. The complex is in a noisy area and you could hear the street and train all night. You could also hear the ocean but sadly street noisy outside was noisy. I’d say I wouldn’t stay again because of this, it was hard to sleep. Pretty outside foliage though for anyone wanting to stay on the property.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is an incredible property and condo, ESPECIALLY if you have kids! The grounds have a ton of vegetation, enchanted little paths, bridges and ponds with fish and ducks and a heron. (Be sure to bring quarters as there is machine to buy fish/ duck food by the pond). The swimming pool is large and clean, and they have a family hot tub- in addition to an adults only one. The beach is large, clean and great for sandcastle making. All of this provides endless to-dos for little ones. The condo itself is clean and has all the things you need to cook basic items, as well as towels for the pool/ beach. There are ceiling fans in each room which helps to keep it cool and the patio sits right over a section of the man-made creek, so you get that amazing sound when sitting out there. The only cons are the building is old, and we had some heavy-footed neighbors above which you could hear well, and without AC it could become very warm in the summer months. We were good for the last week of September. Would recommend and we will be back!

We live in Tucson and invited our grandkids to stay with us in Oceanside for a week. This was the perfect space. They each had their own bed and there was room for their mom to spend the first two nights with them and dad the last two nights (kids are 5 and 7 from DC) They LOVED having the pool and hot tub, pool and foosball, and the BEACH RIGHT THERE! Everything is so convenient! Went to Legoland, Seaward and Birch Aquarium. The condo was equipped with everything we needed for quick meals, plus beach wagon, buckets and shovels, and towels. A great week with the kiddos. Thanks so much!

Ideal location for spring break

We had two adult children and our nine-year-old daughter. It was the perfect location close to the docs for deep-sea fishing and close to the pier for fun evening activities and write on the beach for a quiet alone time during the day the resort had all the amenities we could need.

Reviewer Comments: First I would say that I could tell the property was cleaned well, and the location was great; very close walkable beach access as well as beautiful grounds and a nice pool and large hot tub. The property seemed to be cleaned well, so I appreciated that. I am, however, up in the air on if I would stay there again purely because of the laundry situation. Obviously as a coastal area it was very humid and muggy, and while the property did have a washer and dryer in the condo, guests are not allowed to use it. I found that because of the humidity and the fact that beach and pool were the main things to do, we felt very wet all the time. Nothing ever dried, and even the floor and furniture seemed constantly wet. I felt like the use of the laundry or even just the dryer would have made the entire stay a million times more pleasant as we used wet towels and wore damp clothes the entire time. That one element unfortunately made what have been a great trip otherwise kind of miserable.

Nice condo for a family sports trip

We stayed at the condo property along with several other families of our daughter’s soccer team. We were able to have our own space but also able to meet up for a team dinner in the event room onsite. The kids all enjoyed the beach access for sand volleyball, the pool and games. Thanks for a great time!

The property was clean and well supplied. The grounds themselves are being updated and painted currently which did not deter from our beach fun. I would happily stay here again

Our condo was nice, kind of in between new and old. The re-done bathrooms were especially nice, I loved that the bathtub and shower were actually tiled and not that crappy fiberglass too-slippery kind. And the ceiling fans were awesome, good quality, not squeaky and looking like they'd come out of the ceiling any minute. But the dresser in the master bedroom smelled so old and musty I did not put my clothes in it. The kitchen was old, besides the new sink and countertop, and the beds were a bit saggy. The complex was nice, although the vending machines were frustrating. Overall it was a great place to stay.

The walk to the harbor shops and restaurants was easy and only 5 minutes. The entire complex is beautiful, the pool was outstanding. Our only disappointment were the mattresses in the bedroom with 2 beds. They need to be replaced due to the downward sloping of them. We pushed the beds together and slept on them horizontally, which worked out well. We would definitely stay at this complex again.

The place is actually bigger than it looks in the photos. The living room was bigger than hotel rooms we’ve stayed at. The rental provided the basics such as: bath towels, 6-8 beach towels, handbar soap, kitchen items (pots, pans, tongs, spatula, oven mitts, etc), bedding, extra blankets, beach gear (4 bulky beach chairs, 3 boogie boards, 2 swim tubes, and a wagon). (Note that the boogie boards and wagon have seen better days and may not survive much more use).I would recommend making sure to bring toiletries since they didn’t provide any (ie: shampoo, conditioner, body wash).We were told by family that the G building is close to the railroad, but despite it being close we only heard it once before midnight and that’s it. It wasn’t even loud or a problem. The master bedroom faces the pond and when you open the windows at night it provides a soothing sound to fall asleep to. We had our doubts, but these two factors ended up not being a problem at all. We are definitely booking this place for next year - everyone in the family loved it!
