Island House is your home away from home for pure relaxation, refreshment, and rejuvenation. From sun-up to well past sundown; from glowing morning skies to saturated ocean sunsets and sparkling starry nights, Island House is your special place to let all stresses fly away. Sipping morning coffee or tea on the beach deck while drinking in views of the crystal blue waters of the Gulf….strolling along miles of pristine white sands on Manasota Key….watching playful dolphins, exotic birds and endangered turtles….basking in the sun….playing in the waves…what quiet moments and pleasant memories await!

Directly on the beach facing the Gulf of Mexico, Island House is a privately owned vacation rental of six fully furnished apartments–three upstairs and three on the ground floor. This is a non-smoking property. All units have full kitchens including stove, oven, full-sized refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, cookware, and utensils! A barbecue grill is available outside for all guests to share.

Great location close to restaurants and area where tours depart. The ocean view from the living room/dining area is incredible. We stayed during mid May and the private beach area was not overpopulated, but close enough to walk down to public beach if you want to see more action. The kitchen was adequately equipped enough for us to prepare meals, but we mostly ate out. We were on top floor facing the ocean. We never heard a sound, so it feels private even know there were units below and next to us

You just can't beat being steps from the beach! The apartment was spacious, clean, and had a great view. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. It was in a quiet area and the only people on that section of the beach were in the same apartments. We will certainly be back.

Little slice of paradise

Look no further for panoramic views of the gulf. This little gem is walkable to many restaurants and the beaches stretch for miles! Every am I would jog and soak up the beautiful scenery. The apartment was spotless with everything one needs to have a perfect stay! We will definitely return. Thank you for a delightful five days:)

Family Weekend Getaway

The property is exactly as pictured. Quaint, little building with a few units directly on the beach. The unit's furnishings are a bit dated but it was clean, it had all necessary kitchen utensils, linens etc. It also came with beach chairs/umbrellas. The host was very responsive and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Beachy Paradise!!!!

Omg!- this is the beach house you’ve been looking for! Nina was very helpful with us getting settled in and was quick to answer any questions we had. The bed was super comfy, everything was very clean, The views were great, we just had to wipe off a little salt buildup on the windows on the outside. The grill was useful as well. We hope to return!

This location is nice, but the red tide was horrible. We were not able to be on the beach at all. The condo really needs some renovations. It is very expensive, considering the amenities.

The location was perfect! The building is worn by salty air and possibly weather damage, but that is to be expected given that it is directly on the Gulf of Mexico. Every structure suffered damage from the hurricanes. They have done their best to repair and maintain the building. It was perfect because I could be out on the beach and my family could see me from the windows. We could go in and out to the beach with convenience. You are on the beach in 10-15 seconds. With being that close to the water, the building wasn't perfect, but as perfect as you will get. My only complaint was some seaweed and no see-um bites, which are not the fault of anyone but nature. My only suggestion is I think specific instructions should be provided for guests on the turtle nests. Literally, people were touching the nests and getting within 2 inches of baby turtles. Everyone needs to be informed of the laws and provided explicit instructions to protect the turtles. Not just, "Turn off your lights at night because you could get a fine."I would love to go back and stay at this property. It is really a magical place.

Perfect Location and views!

The location and ocean views from unit 4 could not have been better! Easily walkable to local restaurants. Only thing we would have found useful would have been insulated cups, beach bag and a cooler. But we were able to get them at the store not even 10 minutes away.

Clean getaway on the beach

We enjoyed our stay in unit 4. The wall of windows in the living room has the most beautiful view of the beach and ocean. The apartment is nicely updated and was spotless when we arrived. The pictures don’t do size or cuteness of the place justice. There was ample toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner and body wash for our stay, beach chairs, umbrella and some pool noodles. Beach toys can be found in a communal box on the side of the building. The kitchen is stocked, but missing a few things - in particular we noticed there was no Tupperware, plastic dishes to eat outside on, or grilling utensils. Luckily, we were able to borrow the latter from the neighbors downstairs. We rented with our 4 small kids. The couches in the living room are not sofa beds, so be aware of that. Management was super quick to get us extra sheets so we could put the couches together and sleep two littles there, though. There aren’t any toys or games in the apt. The building was quiet when we were there. We did hear talking through the bedroom wall every morning, but it wasn’t loud. I would say the beach was quiet too, but not private. It wasn’t as busy as a public access beach by far, but there was always 8-10 other parties within close proximity, and it seems like there are sometimes people walking through the property to use the beach area. They also have a no guests rule, day or night, which wasn’t a problem for us, but something to note if you’re considering it. If you love a super clean and comfortable apartment with a relaxed beach in a quiet area, this one is for you!

We love staying here. This was our second time here and we will be back again. The house is within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, etc. The beach is peaceful and relaxing.
