I had a terrible experience with the host Paule sadly. So much so that I will probably never use VRBO again. In the first place when I arrived in town and was trying to get a hold of the host to meet me at the apartment, she wouldnât answer her phone for some reason, even though I called her several times. It made my arrival very stressful and for some reason or another she finally answered the phone when the taxi driver helped me to call her. During my stay, I found out that my father back in the United States had a heart attack and that I would have to be cutting my trip short. It was a very horrible and stressful experience for me trying to get back to the United States, having to make several changes to my travel plans and incurring so many more expenses due to this. I kept asking the host if she could give me the refund for the nights I couldnât stay and she continually lied and said that it was not up to her to process a refund for me, even though the VRBO customer service people that I was chatting with constantly online kept telling me that it was up to her. On my last morning, I pleaded and begged with her to give me the refund, and she kept insisting that she couldnât do that so it turns out she was actually lying to my face. because of of course, when I returned and got a hold of VRBO in the United States they told me it was up to her and that she just did not want to give me a refund. I canât understand how any human being would have no sympathy whatsoever!!!!
