Roolagoon Homestead has been rebuilt out of the ashes with love and resilience following the devastating bushfires in 2020. Using mostly recycled materials to recreate the home away from home , yesteryear charm has been combined with modern amenities to suit all expectations.
This self contained accommodation features a well stocked kitchen , bathroom, laundry, two queen bedrooms, dining and living room with fold-out lounges conveniently cooled in summer, heated in winter by air conditioning.
The Homestead is fully enclosed by wide verandahs where you can comfortably sit and sip a hot cuppa in winter or a cool drink in summer enjoying the beautiful views of the vast lawns and surrounding farmland or use the BBQ to cook up a feast.
For an added experience we can provide breakfast, lunch hampers or cook one of our famous pizzas from the wood-fired pizza oven located on the premises.
We welcome families with children all ages, couples, groups of friends and provide wheelchair accessible accommodation.
We welcome well behaved pets.
On the premises is also a Wood turning Studio and Gallery where you can just browse, play a game of pool or either watch the skillful craft of local Woodturner, Jonny Gloyne, or even learn how to turn your own special piece, which you get to take home as a forever-lasting memory.

If you are seeking the perfect location to explore and enjoy the beauty of Kangaroo Island, look no further. We are within a 40 min drive to most attractions, in particular Flinders Chase National Park as well as several bush-walking destinations. All North Coast and South Coast Beaches are an easy 20-30 min drive.

If you are seeking peace, serenity and nature at it's best, look no further. The starlit sky at night has had many stargazers already in awe, the complete rest away from the hustle and bustle of busy work lives is equally regenerating and rejuvenating.
