While the location is ideal for guests looking for a remote and natural setting, it's still within a mile radius from watersports, surf shops, take-out options, ice cream and the popular Watermen's Bar and Grill. Slightly farther north you'll find even more dining and shopping options in the town of Rodanthe. Be sure to set aside a day for a trip to Cape Hatteras, where you can climb the lighthouse, go driving on the beach, or hop on a ferry to Ocracoke.
