'Het Wolvenshuis' ist eine große, helle und luftige Wohnung aus dem 18. Jahrhundert in einem der gefragtesten Viertel von Amsterdam.

Das Apartment mit zwei Schlafzimmern befindet sich in perfekter Lage in der mittleren Straße der 9 Straßen und ist der perfekte Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung der Stadt, eingebettet zwischen der Herengacht und der Keizersgracht, zwei der Hauptkanäle in Amsterdam.

Das Apartment besteht aus einem großen Wohn- und Esszimmer mit offenem Schnitt und großen Fenstern mit Blick auf den privaten Innengarten auf der einen Seite und die "neun Straßen" auf der anderen Seite. Eine große Wohnküche mit allen modernen Geräten eignet sich perfekt zum Kochen und für die Unterhaltung zu Hause.

Die große Dachterrasse mit Blick auf die Dächer von Amsterdam ist fantastisch, um das Mittagessen oder einen Drink in absoluter Privatsphäre zu genießen.

With walking distance to most things in Amdam

Fantastic apartment in an old building situated in the citycenter. A terrace on top where one can sip a glass of wine, beer or whatever preferbed.Good to know that the stairs inside the apartment are quite steep.The owner, Mike, is superfriendly. Perfect city apartment

Your search for the perfect place to stay in Amsterdam ends here. This apartment is perfectly situated in the city next to cute shops, a grocery store, and a tram line. It's far enough away from the tourist crowds but only a 15 minute walk to central station and the major sites and museums. We had a wonderful time trying the restaurants in the surrounding area, including one of the city's oldest bakeries which likely has the best stroopwafels. The apartment was clean, beautifully decorated, and a wonderful place to land during the afternoon or after a night out. The stairs up to the apartment and within the apartment are steep but certainly not unmanageable. They are true to form of an apartment of this era and location.

Great home in ideal location!

Mike was very responsive from booking to arrival, including providing great info on the neighborhood. His home is a wonderful place to stay, we'll decorated, clean and spacious, especially enjoyed the roof terrace, and it is in an ideal location.like to get anywhere on foot. Would stay again for sure and hope to have the opportunity!

We only had 3 nights and 4 days in Amsterdam - Mike's place was like being at home - cozy and with everything we needed - location was just fantastic to get to where we needed to go. I personally loved the way the place is decorated and wish we would have been able to stay longer. When we return to Amsterdam will certainly put this home at the top of the list to reserve!

Lovely, historic property

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay in the apartment. The location was fabulous, very close to shops, restaurants, a grocery shop, and historical sites. The apartment was very comfortable with plenty of space for a family and a well-equipped kitchen. Too bad the weather was too cold and wet for us to enjoy a meal out on the rooftop terrace... Highly recommend!

Great stay in Amsterdam

This apartment is perfect for a short stay in Amsterdam. It is located in a relatively quiet area while still being within walking distance to Central Amsterdam and other attractions. The apartment is spacious and well kempt. I will say that the stairs are very steep and would not recommend for children or elderly.

Amazing Location

The 9 Streets is a really great location. Close enough to the centre and museums, with two supermarkets within 5 mins walk, amazing coffee at Kaldi on the corner, good wine shops and lovely city views. The kitchen was well appointed and we enjoyed home cooked meals in the apartment at the big dining table. The stairs are very steep, but we didn’t find that a problem. The roof terrace was a definite bonus. Would definitely stay again.

A wonderful place with a rooftop terrace

We loved staying here and being in such a central spot with all the liveliness of the ‘De 9 Straatjes’ area. The house was beautifully styled, light and airy and we especially enjoyed spending time on the gem of a rooftop terrace. Mike was great to deal with, very responsive and quick to get back to me. And there’s great coffee, bread and pastries at a place called Bakkerij Wolf a few doors down. Travel light because even though it’s on the first floor there are lots of typical narrow dutch stairs. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location and bright comfy space for our family

We had a great 3 night stay in this amazing location. It was a perfect base for exploring the city. Although we inteded to take public transportation, we ended up being able to walk to almost all of the sites, restaurants, markets etc. that we had on our list. Grocery store and bakery are super close. Saturday night was bit loud on the street but that is to be expected and my kiddos still slept well. They also loved the crazy steep stairs to the top floor. It was a great space for us and I recommend it to anyone who wants to be right in the middle of the action and beauty of Amsterdam.

Perfect location, lots of room & great service.

Myself, my husband & our two adult children ages 18 & 20 were very comfortable in this beautiful apartment in a great area of Amsterdam. After arriving by train from Paris, we were contacted early that the apartment was ready for us to check in and Mike was there to greet us with a tour and instructions. Plenty of room and we especially liked the outdoor patio on the top floor. Every evening we enjoyed listening to the church bells and enjoying the view. Perfect location for day trips, very clean and much more affordable than getting two hotel rooms, plus we had a large living room & dining room to relax in. Mike was great, gave us lists of places to see & places to eat, which were very useful and accurate! He even set up a driver to take us to the airport, which was key for us. We would definitely stay here again and refer our friends here. Thanks again!

It was just perfect for us

We stayed here in July 2016 as a family of 4: My wife and I and two kids, aged 10 and 13. The flat was, in a word, perfect for us. The owner was very accommodating for an early arrival: we were able to drop out bags and walk around for a few hours, then were met and checked in later in the day. The whole check-in/getting the keys process was very smooth, honestly MUCH faster than checking into most hotels. If you've stayed at a few VRBOs you may know this is not always the case! The flat is in a great little neighborhood: tons a great little shops and cafes. There is an upscale grocery on the very same block, and within a three block radius just about every type of cuisine Amsterdam has to offer. The surrounding bustling and cosmopolitan, but void of noisy late night clubs that'll keep you up all night with thumping techno music. There is a black bikes rental shop right next door, so very easy to rent a bike for a few hours to cruise around. Yet another bonus is that this is part of a chain of shops, so if you get tired of peddling there are multiple locations you can drop the bike all over town. The owner made several suggestions for local restaurants to try all the ones we hit were superb. We were sad to leave!

Beautiful traditional apartment in the heart of the 9 streets in central Amsterdam.

Wolvenstraat 14 is a wonderful spacious traditional apartment in the very heart of the 9 streets in Central Amsterdam. The apartment is on one of the cross streets between two canals with lots of vintage and new boutique shops, cafes and restaurants all around. Beautifully decorated and furnished, it had a lovely big sitting room and if you wanted to eat at home, a fantastic big dining room with a large table. Two good sized bedrooms upstairs; the double room had a great roof terrace that backed on to the central space at the back of all the surrounding apartments and the second bedroom with two single beds was at the front with a shared bathroom in-between. We were two single parents travelling with our 11 year olds so one adult had the front bedroom with the single beds - if you're not used to living in a central city location or are a light sleeper this bedroom was quite noisy until late as the room looked out over the street and there are also bars/restaurants below. It had a good sized kitchen, was all immaculately clean and had everything you might need either for a long or short stay. The apartment has a bike shop located just downstairs so very easy to rent bikes - we rented them for two days and cycled all over the city with our two 11 year olds - we all loved it and everything was very easily reached from our apartment. Mike, our host, was great - always answered e-mails quickly, gave really helpful advice, sent us apartment and local tips and made us feel very welcome when we arrived. We would highly recommend it and would love to stay again!

Quaint, Eclectic but not ageless. Our location was excellent. Supermarket at the corner, several spots for coffee and breakfast that were great. Two restaurants just over the canal serving Traditional Dutch Cuisine. The kitchen and living room large with plenty of light. Lovely large windows. The decorations were great. Close to Anne Frank’s House and 4-5 blocks away from a street with many different shops. Plenty of wonderful activity in the area.The description was not accurate. The wooden floors must have been original traditional Dutch but need a lot of care. There are 1 bath without toilet & (two water closets (toilets only), sleeps four but one pullout couch and one king size bed (only bedroom pictured). For us, the stairs and the wooden floors were the worse aspect of the apartment. Many steps, entrance set about 20 and two very winding narrow set 10-15 (one leading directly into the apartment’s first floor and the other to the Bedrooms).The top stairs to the bedrooms were so narrow and winding that we never brought our suitcases up.To bring the suitcases down, from the main floor to the street, we devised a pulley system. This apartment, despite its location, is not ageless, mostly due to the steps/stairs! We were three senior women who can walk 2-4 miles a day (ages 73 years old) or 18,000-20,000 steps a day. Mike was a good host. He also carried our very heavy suitcases to the first floor of the apartment. . He was always responsive.

Lovely home with lots of character!

We had a fantastic stay at Mike’s home. It is located in the nine streets shopping district and close to everything. We walked everywhere! There is a wonderful grocery store right on the corner, a two minute walk, from the apartment, and multitudes of restaurants nearby. We were able to stop back at the apartment midday multiple times for a “break” and that was great. I HIGHLY recommend adding the Canal Museum to your itinerary—a block or so away and 45 minute excursion with beautiful description of Amsterdam’s canal history. There were three of us—my husband and I and our sixteen year old daughter. The bed was comfortable and our daughter was comfortable in the second bedrooms’s pull out hide-away. The jack and Jill bathroom worked out just fine and still afforded us nice privacy. The rain shower was great with reasonable water pressure. You’ll see from other reviews the stairs took a little getting used to and I would not recommend for anyone with any mobility concerns—but this is typical for canal area homes in Ámsterdam and even some restaurants. Mike had placed beautiful fresh tulips in vases through the home that really added to our enjoyment of Ámsterdam! His home has loads of wonderful character—creaky planks, tinkling radiators, and worn furniture and I loved it. Lots of big windows and lots of natural light but still lots of privacy in the midst of a busy shopping district. Outside noise really was minimal. Uber to and from the airport was simple and easy. We made a hot breakfast every morning and used the nesspresso machine but did not cook extensively in the kitchen. There is a washer, no dryer— but our clothes dried within 12 hours on the drying rack. Mike was immediately responsive when we had questions through VRBO email but also provided his cell should we have needed anything. Just a lovely experience and we would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you, Mike!!

Tolles Appartement mittendrin!!

Das Appartement ist optimal unweit der Herengracht gelegen und ein toller Startpunkt für alle Unternehmungen!! Die Räume erstrecken sich über zwei Etagen, unten eine gemütliche und voll ausgestattete Küche, ein sehr schönes cooles Wohn- und Esszimmer in dem wir sehr gerne relaxed haben und oben zwei Schlafzimmer die über ein Bad miteinander verbunden sind!! Das zum Innenhof gelegene Schlafzimmer hat den Zugang zur schönen Dachterrasse!! Die Treppen in der Wohnung sind schon steil, aber vollkommen ok!! Mike ist ein netter Gastgeber, immer erreichbar und hat klasse Restauranttipps!! Kleine Auswahl: La Oliva mit Baskischen Tapas, Bardak mit israelischer Küche, MAX indonesisch!! Insgesamt ein tolles Appartment, cool, gemütlich, modern und in bester Lage!!

Schönes Appartment mit toller Dachterasse

Die Dachterasse ist das absolute Highlight von der Wohnung! Das Appartment liegt sehr zentral und man ich sofort mitten im Geschehen. Auf der Dachterasse hört man allerdings nichts mehr von vielen Menschen. Kann das Appartment nur weiterempfehlen!

Sehr schönes, zentral gelegenes Appartement

Die Lage des Appartements ist super zentral, man kann alle Museen, Parks, Hauptbahnhof etc. gut zu Fuß erreichen. Am besten mit dem Zug anreisen, da Parkplätze in Parkhäusern der Nähe sehr teuer sind. Die Wohnung ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet. Obwohl zentral gelegen, ist sie sehr ruhig, insbesondere auch nachts. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder herkommen.

Wunderschöne Maisonette-Wohnung mit sehr viel Charme

Die Wohnung ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Wir haben uns vom ersten Augenblick an sehr wohl gefühlt. Unsere Erwartungen, die wir aufgrund des Online-Inserates hatten, wurden sogar noch übertroffen. Die Wohnung ist zentral gelegen und das nähere Umfeld bietet alles was man bei einer Städtereise geniessen möchte, Cafes, Kneipen, Restaurants, kleinere Geschäfte. Ein kleiner aber feiner Supermarkt für Besorgungen des täglichen Bedarfs runden das Angebot vollständig ab. Wir würden jederzeit die Wohnung bei Mike Archer wieder buchen.

Gelungener Weekendtrip

Die Wohnung ist super zentral gelegen, so dass man alles fussläufig erreichen konnte. Wir waren zu Viert da und es war mehr als ausreichend. Die Wohnung ist sauber und gut ausgestattet. Wenn wir wieder nach Amsterdam fliegen sollten würden wir die Wohnung wieder nehmen.
