A peaceful and completely different "base" for a rejuvenating romantic getaway! Christiane and Marcel welcome you to an authentic, characterful 17th-century traditional house (a building steeped in history, one of the oldest dated houses in the area), completely renovated into a peaceful holiday retreat. Nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac, on the edge of a lane, opposite the magnificent Château d'Aine, built in 1858 and boasting a renowned 17-hectare listed park (flanked by a rich arboretum housing a wide variety of plant species: Atlas cedar, sequoia, purple beech, bald cypress, etc.). Peace and tranquility abound, just steps from the vineyards, perched on a hillside, in the heart of a picturesque little hamlet offering a beautiful, unobstructed view of the countryside and vineyards (as far as Mont Blanc, the Alps, and the Jura mountains on a clear day!), overlooking the village of Azé from its panoramic promontory. Renowned for its famous caves (a listed prehistoric site with a museum, famous for its exceptional cave bear remains), this charming, perfectly preserved wine-growing and market village boasts a rich historical heritage (12th-century Romanesque church, 19th-century market hall, castles, wash houses, towers, mills, beautifully restored historic houses, etc.) as well as its own AOC (Mâcon-Azé, made from the Chardonnay grape) and offers numerous small shops and services. The magnificent surroundings are nestled in the heart of the unspoiled, gentle Mâconnais countryside (protected as a Natura 2000 and ZNIEFF area for its rich fauna and flora), in a bucolic valley of vineyards and meadows, beneath the wooded ridges of a vast wild forest. Stunning panoramic views and surrounding landscapes. Comfortable holiday cottage. A warm, rustic charm enhanced by the utterly captivating atmosphere of a carefully restored old rural house (exposed beams and rafters, stone and wood window lintels, rare original stone sink and holy water font). Charmant und authentisch
Sehr angenehm, ruhige Lage, charmant eingerichtet.
