Hi Jenny! Thanks for your review. The bunk bed picture was removed from our listing after your stay, as we now only accept future bookings with a max of 6 people in the cabin. VRBO owners have the right to rent their property based on their rules, occupancy levels, etc. If you don't agree with the rules or occupancy levels, please don't rent the property OR take liberties to amend the rules/occupancy levels to fit your situation. It comes down to being respectful. You let me know the day prior to arriving that your guest count had changed from 8 to 11. The listing clearly outlined that our max occupancy at the time was 8. I called you right away and told you that you could proceed with the reservation...I'm not sure how this caused so much stress as you were promptly notified it would be ok. I sent you pictures of the chaise lounge chair, as my housekeeper could not get the stains out and we were hoping you might know what got all over it (I stayed in the cabin previous to you, so knew it wasn't there when you arrived). In fact, I told your husband not to worry about it when he was unsure of what it might be. We had the chaise professionally cleaned and did not charge you for it, as we did not charge for a broken glass, missing tv remote, check out instructions not being followed and extra cleaning required. Additionally, I mentioned to your husband prior to arrival that the deck was dirty and we were having the pressure washer come clean it 2 days after you arrived. Central Oregon is dusty and in pollen season (hence the no shoes rule)- perhaps wear sandals on the deck if it is so dirty?! We have lowered our guest count to ensure guests enjoy their stay and so that our home does not get left in a disastrous state by big groups. If you had abided by the occupancy, I think you would have had an amazing time. Quoting you, all of the rules we outlined are reasonable (they are also outlined in the listing so you can see prior to booking). Our guest feedback comes directly from our housekeeper. This was what she texted me regarding how your group left the cabin, "Ugh. Not good. Such a mess. Garbage left. Dishwasher and sink full of dirty dishes. All windows heavy with prints. Alcohol spilled on floors. The kitchen took me 1.5 hours alone to clean and pasta sauce was spilled everywhere. I found all sorts of things under the couch today, garbage everywhere in the bunk room." I think we can agree that this was not a good fit for either of us.
