Reviewer Comments: We have stayed here several times in the past.I can't think of any time we stayed at Beacher's Lodge when there was a problem.The units are a bit small, but they work great for a couple.A kitchen also. We pick up fresh shrimp (Publix has a better deal than the fishmongers), and keep a Cheese, salami, and boiled shrimp tray for a meal in a day. There are many nice restaurants in the area. Good pizza right across the street, Viola's just to the north, fine Italian.We set up at Beacher's and day trip out of there.Silver Springs to the west, Blue Springs to the south.We will be back. My personal recommendation is a 4thh floor room and a "Gold" unit.There is plenty to do close by.

Wonderful place! Great Ocean View. Cozy remodeled condo.

Older property, but well maintained and managed. Friendly, helpful staff. Fabulous Ocean view, enjoyed cooking meals and walks on the beach. Visited Fort Matanzas, St. Augustine Lighthouse and Old Town. Ate lunch at O’Steen’s.

We loved it!

We loved our stay at Beacher’s Lodge! The location and views can’t be beat. The ocean beach was pristine and just a short walk across the wooden boardwalk. The balcony was directly overlooking the beautiful beach. The staff were very helpful, checking every day to see if we needed anything. The unit was small, as advertised, but perfect for us. Nicely decorated, clean, and well equipped. The only issue we had was the wi-fi wasn’t always working well, but no big deal. We will definitely come back again.

Winter Getaway

We had a great time exploring the St Augustine area. There was plenty to see and do within a 10 mile drive of the condo. The view from our unit on the 4th floor was amazing, seeing a beautiful sunrise each morning. The beach was very nice for walking. The unit itself was small and in need of some updating but served us nicely for the week we were there.

Winter Break

Very clean, quiet and relaxing. Biked 4 1/2 miles to Matanzas Inlet - always a favorite. Short drive to St Augustine beach pier Farmer's market - also a must. Pool deck area is small. Staff was excellent! Friendly, helpful and good natured - always with a smile. Great place!

45th Anniversary

The property was clean and well maintained. The furnishing were nice and the kitchen was well stocked. The property is on the small size but plenty comfortable for my wife and myself. Having daily housekeeping was a plus. Our only issue was the hot water heater ran out of hot water pretty quickly.

The hot water was extremely hot, I think the water heater needed to be turned down a bit. The room was a little dark and I thought the sliding doors could have used a sheer in addition to the blackout curtain. Also, the plantation shutters in the bedroom were hard to shut and could have used a curtain. My main complaint would be the hill and steps you have to walk up to get to the building. I normally wouldn't care but I had a sore back that hindered me a little. Also my wife has a bad knee and had a hard time getting to the building.

The property was as advertised but it’s much smaller than pics indicate. It was clean. The bathroom has been updated. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen area and living room space could use some updating. Not only the furniture, it’s not comfortable but the utensils & kitchen accessories provided could be improved. Very sparse pickings. Because of colder temps we spent more time in the condo than normal. I’d recommend this property but a different unit.

The bed was too soft. T.V in bedroom didn't work. For as pricey as it is, it could have premium channels. Not all of us can spend all day at the beach.Housekeeping was rude. Upon checking out they occupied both elevators and we could not use them. We were waiting and the elevator door opened and the housekeeper said "oh sorry" and shut the doors and went down. I mean, she could have gotten out and let the guests take the elevator. We waiting about 15 minutes along with other couples trying to check out on the 4th floor. Having back issues, couldn't take the stairs.It really is a good location as far as access to the beach and the pool is nice.

Crescent Beach is beautiful Bed was inferior for sleeping and bedroom was small no place for Luggage or walking space. The kitchen not equipped for cooking or storage Not even a frying pan for eggs or a containers to store fruit or leftovers There was a dollar store across the street for necessary items The unit was not cleaned well when we arrived. i had to wash the entire floor and the cabinets were full off old opened food items! management simply refused to clean floor and make it right. Ricky was rude and disrespectful. Pool is small and always crowded and never enough furniture for amount of people. The property is older but tidy and maintained on the outside. Washer and dryer inadequate for the building size , rusty and old. they were on second floor of the four floor building. I refused to use them. I will not return
