We would have been happy to have done this during your stay, had we known you were experiencing this - we definitely want our guests to enjoy hot showers! Hi, Jean...We appreciate your feedback on Tupelo Honey and are glad you loved the house and location. The pool photos in our listing are exactly as the pool looks; Old Seagrove is very shady with its live oak canopies, which is what it is known for; tree debris does often fall into the pool, especially on windy and rainy days. The pool is professionally serviced twice a week but, yes, our guests do need to skim the pool themselves occasionally. The pool does experience filtered sun during the day, but there is only a brief pocket of time mid-day when the sun fully shines on the pool. The owner has, however, already had his landscaping crew out to trim the trees that cover the pool, and the shrubs along the sides, due to your feedback. As well, the owner has replaced the bed you reference in your review; we are currently just waiting for the new mattress to be delivered before we set it up in the house. All being said, we are disappointed that you did not mention these items to us while you were in-house; we spoke twice during your stay and both times you let us know everything was good. We are a local company located just a few miles away, with staffing 7 days a week this time of year. We would have appreciated having the opportunity to discuss these issues with you directly and perhaps come to a resolution to make your stay better...Grayt 30A Vacations

Hello, Zosia...To say your review was disheartening to read is an understatement, as we strive to make our guest stays the best possible. I would like to touch on a few of your points, for the benefit of future guests. First of all, the new TV remote was not received prior to your arrival and we wanted to get it to the house and programmed for you as soon as possible, as otherwise the TV couldn't be watched. We had no idea you didn't plan on watching TV so didn't have need of this. The pool heater was not broken, but would not turn on as the ambient temperature of the pool water itself was into the 90's; we heat pools to 88 degrees, so the heater will not engage if the water temp is higher than this. While it is typically very hot this time of year, we were in the midst of the "heat bubble" with outside air "feels like" temps anywhere from 108-116 degrees during the week of your stay over July 4th. The pool heating fee was refunded to your card on July 5th, which was the day you contacted us about it "not working." We emailed a receipt of the refund on that day, as well as addressed this with you via email correspondence the first time you asked on July 12th, when we again emailed the refund receipt. You then let us know on July 24th that the refund was received. As far as the trash under the deck, your husband was right in that it would attract rodents and bugs; therefore, it was prudent that it be cleaned right away. It is hard to imagine this flew into the pool, as it would have had to travel some distance for that to happen; in addition, our staff would never be that careless. Construction is - and has been - booming in our area and will continue into the coming years, as happens with normal growth in residential tourist destinations. We hate to hear you had a nail imbedded in your tire; we would have been happy to address this same day with the contractor and perhaps worked out a reasonable solution, had we known. All in all, we hope in the future you are able to better enjoy your vacations and are sorry to hear we were not the fit you may have been expecting...Grayt 30A Vacations

Hi Pam - Thank you for staying with us and providing feedback - especially on the maintenance issue. We had a plumber service the water heater and replace all of the shower valves in Tupelo Honey so that hot water flows throughout the the home. We hope to host you next time - construction is almost completed, too - it will be nice to have those homes finished! Grayt 30A Vacations
