It is unfortunate that communications broke down this was not resolved directly with the renters. An attempt was made to text the renters the night of check in, as is our practice for all our guests, with no response from them. Some of the comments do not line up with observations from the previous week. Our professional cleaning crew stated there were no cameras out the previous week. In the future we will make sure the cameras are not just stored but locked in a closet. We do have security cameras for use in the off season, when we have no renters. If any interior cameras are present (in the off season), they are directed at entry points in the house for security. If there was any concern and a camera was not secured, we would have been happy to resolve the matter. Was any camera plugged in? Was it off and face down? We only know that the cameras had been stored and the digital record verifies that no cameral was online at any time. The house has two outdoor cameras that monitor the two driveways which are approved by VRBO. When informed about the broken picture, the renters were told to use a large waste basket to contain the glass. There were multiple brooms and dust pans in the house (1 upstairs and two in the garage along with multiple vacuums, including a shop vac) but the renters left the glass on the floor for our cleaners to pick up. The home is very well stocked with beach gear, bicycles, corn hole, volleyball, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, glasses, cups cleaners, soaps, even spices and non perishables. The initial trash bags, dish washer detergent, and tissue are supplied. Beyond that the renter becomes responsible for trash bags, tissue, and their own beach towels. Our cleaning crew does not go through beach items in the garage. We apologize if any items were left by previous renters. It is unfortunate that the renters did not read the listing in its entirety or the Welcome book for additional information once they arrived at the house. There is a three step water filtration system at the home which cycles every four days. Upon back-flushing, the resin must settle and there is a period where there is sometimes a sulfur smell. The renters were refunded for the day which they did not stay. If the refund has not been recieved, that is in the hands of VRBO. Please read other reviews, this is the first of its kind. We want everyone who stays at the Blueview to have an excellent and memorable vacation.
