Dies ist eine fabelhafte brandneue und komplett renovierte 3 Schlafzimmer 3 Bad, ideal für Paare, die weg wollen. Das Hotel liegt in der Sombrero Beach Area: nur einen kurzen Spaziergang vom Sombrero Beach entfernt. Genieße die Wellen und fange ein bisschen Sonne. Nach einem Tag am Strand können Sie im Hinterhof mit eigenem Pool, Bar und vielen Liegestühlen und Plätzen zum Entspannen in der Sonne entspannen.



Die Anlegestelle bietet über 75 Fuß Anlegestelle mit einem Tiefgang von 4 Fuß und direktem Zugang zum Atlantik. Aus dem Dock und sogar an der Bar oder am Pool haben Sie freien Meerblick mit einer tollen Brise und dem Sonnenaufgang jeden Morgen. Poolwärme gegen Gebühr erhältlich.

Loved this property! Very clean and inviting. Close to beachs, grocery stores and restaurants. On our dsy we were leaving there were fires. We paincked a tad. Property manager was very helpful. She also called to let us know NB road was open. I was very grateful for that!

Sea breezes!

Had an amazing week following our daughter’s wedding. The house and pool are very nice and maintained. Boaters!! If bringing a boat pay attention to the tide charts for getting out of this canal very shallow draft at low tide on the bay side.

Great place to relax

Had a very needed relaxing week. House was great, well equipped. Spent most of the time out on the patio and in the pool. All services we close by, restaurant were very good. Sunset Grill was the best. Everyone was friendly. Easy to get around, minimal traffic, very quiet area . Easy to get to Key West.

Our 2024 Family Vacation

We have been going to the middle keys area for years. We have grown to 20+ plus 2 small dogs, so we were in need of three houses this year. All on Sombrero so visiting each other was a breeze. The Good Life was a perfect fit for us since we needed dock space. The fact that each bedroom had its own bath made the space perfect for us. Would definetly book this property again,

Great spot in Marathon

Clean and very comfortable. Having 3 bedrooms with their own bathroom was very nice. Location was perfect. Close to Sunset Grille pool, Pigeon Key, and Turtle Hospital. Short drive to Dolphin research center. Sombrero beach is a 10 minute walk. Took a day trip to Key West. Beautiful drive. Maybe 1:15 drive. We had manatees visit us while sitting on the dock. Overall great stay

Perfect Getaway

All I have are positives about our experience at this house . It had everything we needed for a relaxing week . Sombrero beach just a walk away and everything else we wanted to do are needed to go was so close. The seaweed was a little thick trying to get out of the canal but it was do able and the wind was up on our week so we weren't taken the boat out most days so not a big deal just enjoyed the pool even more. Would definaetly rent this property again.

We loved most things about our stay except……

There were tvs in every room but remotes did not function properly. The cooking utensils and pots and pans must have come from the Dollar General store because they were not adequate. I have never stayed at a place that only provided a “starter set” of toilet paper, laundry and dish soap and asked us to do a load of dishes and towels before we left. What a joke! We stayed for 10 days. Are you kidding me? FYI The front door lock was extremely difficult to lock and unlock. It would be helpful to put directions in the guest info book. Thank you!

89 Sombrero Beach Rd, Marathon, FL

We truly enjoyed our stay at 89 Sombrero Beach Road, Marathon Florida. The 3 bedrooms, 3 bath home was a perfect size for the 6 adults we had staying there. The swimming pool was very nice which we spent many hours enjoying. Although overly expensive, we recommend guests have the pool heated during the winter months as the pool water temperature will cool quickly (down to 79 degrees). The view of the Atlantic Ocean was limited from the house/pool area due to new construction across the canal. A few of us fished the canal catching Mangrove Snapper, Jacks and others. We enjoyed seeing a manatee by the dock one day. The location of the home is only a short distance from Sombrero Beach which is one of the nicer beaches in the area. There is grocery shopping less than 2 miles away and is close to several choice restaurants and attractions. The Property Manager was very responsive to any issues that were raised during our stay. The few recommendations/upgrades we made were positively received.

Disappointed

This is a beautiful property in an excellent location. Sombrero beach is definitely the best beach around. The house was very clean. The back patio with the pool was excellent. We were out there even in the rain enjoying the heated pool. The outdoor kitchen is a huge disappointment!!! It is in disrepair and need of a complete renovation. The grill didn’t have a defuser, so it was useable for proper cooking. And worse than that, we discovered a rat living in it on the 3rd night. I tried every way possible to speak to the property manager for several days. They never responded. They couldn’t care less about you once they have your 9000 for the week. Smaller missteps on the owners part. 8 people can stay there but there aren’t 8 chairs for the table, so you can’t have a sit down meal. There are only about 6 mismatched glasses, unless you are going to drink wine. Last but not least one of the chairs on the patio gave out because they are so rusted out. The beds were comfortable and there are plenty of nice towels. Over all a mixed bag, but for the price, some money needs to be invested back into it. I thought I was taking my family to a really special place for a week. It turned out to be a bit of an embarrassment.

I always like to take constructive criticism. We respond to every request that is made of us. My personal cell phone number is listed in the book at the property, our office is closed over the weekend and available by appointment. I am not sure which number you tried to call, but it appears you may have wrote down the wrong one. I do apologize about that. We have replaced the grill, and we have put in more glasses for the incoming guests. This is a beautiful spot and the amenities are exceptional at this home. We are glad you enjoyed those features.

Sorely disappointed

I will start with the good. The property was clean and neat with nice furnishings. The backyard was beautiful and the well-maintained pool was the best thing about our experience. Now for the issues. Upon our arrival, we noticed several things: 1) The outdoor bar and television area was not as we expected from the photos. The bar was somewhat in disrepair and the tv was completely unworkable. 2) The louver blinds in the master bedroom were completely broken and missing pieces. Normally we could live with no blinds but the rising sun shone directly into the bedroom at the crack of dawn. 3) As we set about finding and learning the tv remotes, we discovered one had dead batteries and two others were so overused and worn that we had to get creative with a pen to poke the main button. The next day, after some difficulty we contacted the manager and they sent a maintenance man. All he was able do was give us a couple of batteries and we never saw him again. Also during the week we discovered that we were unable to watch desired football games because the house tv package was the bare minimum with no ESPN. Lastly, with 2 days to go, the stove became unworkable as the propane tank was empty. We had to go out for breakfast rather than cook our own. The outdoor grill, also didn't work. The management company failed to resolve any issue and never called to provide us a status. This was an important 10th anniversary trip for us. The high cost of this property was money not well spent.

Never wanted to leave the outdoor space!

Fast forward to the backyard. Covered patio, hammock, pool, gazebo, tropical plants, ocean breeze-HEAVEN! Outdoor TV-watched the game while feeling like we were in tropical paradise! Had a remote issue that Milisa went out of her way to resolve. Seriously she worried about it more than we did, and she made it happen! Rented a 27’ boat, quick access to the ocean, but you have to know the tides. Can not make it in/out around low tide. Inside was very clean. Had a blender, two types of coffee makers, toaster, plenty of kitchen necessities. Location is close to everything! Check in and out is super easy and communication was great!

Ocean Breezes in Marathon Florida

We were really looking forward to a nice relaxing time at Ocean Breezes. The house itself was really clean. Unfortunately we were not told there was construction directly across the canal which stated 7:30 and didn’t end until 4:30 Monday thru Saturday. Sitting outside by the beautiful pool area was anything but relaxing not to mention there is no longer a view of the ocean as shown in the pictures on the VRBO site. Both empty lots are now construction sites. If we would have known this we would have ABSOLUTELY NOT rented this house. I know there wasn’t anything they could do, but when I called the realtor to let them know the only thing they could offer was a $100 gift certificate to a local restaurant. The offer was nice but we never saw the gift certificate. I really just called them to let them know the site should be updated to let future guests know that there is construction and no longer a view.

The construction is more than a block away from the house. If the wind is coming from the East then you would have heard more noise. There is nothing I can do about construction in the area. In fact there is a lot of building going on right now all over the Marathon area. We had a gift card for you at the office. I can mail it to you if it wasn't picked up. This is the first I have heard of this. I wish you would have communicated back to us. I will update the photos of the views. I note that you didn't comment about the actual house. I am assuming it was perfect, just the outside construction?

Summer Vacation

Loved the pool and outdoor patio. Had everything we needed. Bait freezer, grill, outdoor fridge. The inside was very spacious for the 8 of us and 2 dogs. It was hard to get our boat in the canal so we rented a boat slip at the marina and tbat worked out perfect.

Great location, great house

One of the best vacation experiences we've had! Booking process was seamless, property manager is friendly and responsive. The house, was clean, with a terrific layout if you're with family - one bedroom at one end of the house and two at the other. Being close to the beach is a bonus, but honestly we found little reason to leave our own pool every day. The pool area is landscaped so as to block the often-brisk wind experienced in the Keys, so it is immensely comfortable, and there's plenty of shade for those who want to stay out of the sun. Kitchen is spacious, and the outdoor bar area/kitchen/grill is a huge bonus. TV/cable/streaming were easy to figure out. Some helpful information if you're interested in this property: - Yard maintenance crews are unavoidable in the Keys . . . Monday seemed to be the day for this neighborhood, as the leaf blowers started before 9am and continued well into the afternoon at properties next door and across the channel. - There is active construction going on across the channel. This is in no way reflective of the property owners for this house, but there were a couple of times during the week when the noise was a little intrusive. But it would not keep us from renting this property again. - A recent review noted the 'trickiness' of locking and unlocking the front door, which we can relate to. It's an unusual combination of simultaneously twisting the lock and door handle - we figured it out but agree with previous reviewer that this should be included in the house info book. - The amenities list is incomplete, as there are things at the house that are not listed (and we would have loved to have known were there). We had specifically contacted the property manager and asked about beach chairs before we left and were told there weren't any - only to arrive and discover there were EIGHT. The property manager explained that this is due to tenants leaving things behind (like beach chairs and pool toys), which is completely understandable. But an occasional inventory of the property would probably help people like us who drove 14 hours with 4 people and a dog . . . with packing space at a premium, knowing there were things like beach chairs and a beach cart (both of which we lugged along with us) would have been hugely helpful. - There are two kayaks at the property as well (also not listed on amenities), and PFDs for the kayaks located under the outside bar. Decent area for kayaking. Allowing dogs was a bonus!

Marathon Florida Vacation

I would like to express how much we enjoyed our stay in Marathon at your home at 89 Sombrero Rd. The location & neighborhood is excellent. Overall, the accommodations were perfect, and the pool was just what we wanted, and the House Manager was very supportive/helpful!! We did have a couple issues that the Property Manager took care of very quickly. At one point the AC quite which lasted a couple days but once we were able to contact the Property Manager, she took care of that immediately. We elected to have the pool heated, there is a daily fee, but it was well worth it and recommended. The heat did seem to stop for a day or so but when the AC repair man was there, he made sure the heat was on. When we arrived, the pool needed cleaning (leaves in the water and a ring around the pool wall at the water line) and water added. Recommended the pool be cleaned the day people arrive. The other item(s) had to do with the front door and the sliding glass door. Both were hard to lock and recommend if there is a “trick” to it that instructions be left in the “House Information Book”.

Great spot in the Keys

We had a wonderful stay at this property and greatly enjoyed our time here. The house has a great outdoor area with the pool, dock and patio setup. Plenty of space for everyone and good amenities. We would recommend this house, but just make sure you bring things like toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, etc. as none of that is provided.

Excellent property!!

House was excellent. Clean and had everything we needed. The pool, outside fridge and freezer and grill were perfect. The large dock and access to the ocean was perfect because we brought two boats on our trip. ( 25 foot and a 32 foot) fit with no problems. The 3 bedroom and 3 bath gave everyone there on space. The air conditioning was cold after a long day on the water. Would definitely stay again.
