Great boardwalk location

This is a very comfortable house with a very well stocked kitchen to make meals and drinks. The beds are very comfortable and the living room is great to spend time together. Also the people watching from the porch is awesome.

Beautiful Beach Home

This is the best location, it’s close to the beach, the Newport Pier, great restaurants and shops! The house is always clean upon arrival and everything you could need is there for your use. It is so relaxing here and very restful. I love this place.

The best location! The unit provided a lot of extras for a family. There were lots of boogie boards, beach chairs, plates and cups in the unit. The keurig, sofa bed and extra chairs in the place was a bonus! The beds were really comfortable and having fans and A/C was great for sleeping. We had a great week with the family……..

I loved that the house was on the beach front and close to all the food/shopping. The house was clean upon entering. What i didn’t like: the patio to the upstairs house is right above our living room, so anytime they move the chairs it was loud.

Awesome week in an awesome location

We stayed here with out 2 teenage boys over spring break. We absolutely loved the location and the property. Everything was as advertised, we couldn't have been happier with our stay. Mary was awesome to work with and available for anything we needed. If you like people watching this is the place for you. We didn't even get in our rental car for 3 days! I would highly recommend this rental to family and friends. Great trip.

Location, location, location

Can’t get any better on location! Right next to Newport Pier. Restaurants and shopping all within 5 minute walk! Unit has air conditioning which is rare in area. Very clean, organized, and roomy. Rent bikes next door, and get ice cream and shave ice too! Something to be aware of in lower unit but not a deal breaker for us - you can really hear the footsteps, toilets flushing and conversations from upstairs unit. Also no umbrella or shade on patio but easily solved with a clamp on chair umbrella which we will bring next time! Parking stall is a big plus, especially since it is right in back of units. Definitely will be back!

Location : Terrific Problem: wrong access code: couldn’t get in for a good 12 hours after I arrived

It’s a prime location. Right next to the pier. 2 main problems…not clean. Sand on the floor in several rooms. The biggest problem is I was given an incorrect access code and could not gain entry to the property. I Ended up sleeping on the pavement in front of the property my first night. The key is in a 4 digit combination lock so if they give you an 8 digit access code, it will not work.

Best location on the Beach

We enjoyed our stay, the only thing that would have made it better is more time! It was the perfect location for our family, right next to shops, bars and restaurants. My teenage boys never got bored and we all enjoyed renting bikes from the Boardwalk Shop 2 doors down from the house. We enjoyed being right in front of the pier, being able to walk down the pier early in the morning and seeing what was going on at Dory's. I have family that lives only 10 minutes away from the house and they are now wanting to rent the house for stay-cation. The house itself was very clean and comfortable. Because we were there in March the nights got cool, the fire place was perfect for the evenings. It was nice to be able to walk off the porch onto the boardwalk. The master bed was comfy, my boys did say that the bunks were squeaky but comfy, the kitchen was fully equipped with anything you need. I was surprised to find that there was coffee, laundry detergent and other items. It was so nice to have a washer and dryer, nothing like going home with clean laundry. the grill on the porch was a great idea, we grilled steak one night out there and visited with all the people on the board walk heading to the bars (did I mention the people watching is like no other?). The parking spot was great. We enjoyed flying into Long Beach Airport and taking the PCH to the house, it was only a 25 minute drive and relaxing. I think this will be an annual family vacation spot, I looked at other homes along the pier and none of them compare for the price! The owner (Mary) was very helpful and great to work with. I was surprised to see that within 3 days of getting home that our deposit was in our mailbox. Thank you for sharing your beach house with us, we look forward to visiting again next year!

Great location horrible management

We had issues the first two nights with unbearably loud tenants in the u it upstairs. We were unable to sleep and when we called to complain Vacasa (lied) and told Is the unit upstairs was managed by another company and they had no control over the noise level. The AC unit did not work nor did the fan - and after coming to check the ac- we were told they would bring back fans for the house.a yet we never heard or saw them again. The night before our last day there was an issue with smoke resulting in the home next door being evacuated. We lost electricity for 5 hours and they were horrible about trying to help Or rectify the situation. We were again lied to (I have text messages proving the lies) and told that much of Newport lost power- which was not the case. We have yet to hear from the company. We lost a half a day on our last day- and lost all the items in our fridge and freezer with no reimbursement. We will be taking further action in the near future.

Location and upgrades are great!

This unit is in an ideal location to the beach, boardwalk, restaurants and most important next door to ice cream! Upgrades done to the property such as new working sliding door, keurig machine and air conditioning make it #1 in the area. Patio seating and BBQ grill are provided, as well as beach chairs, beach toys, towels and umbrella. Neighbors are friendly and people watching is fun!

Right across the boardwalk from the beach, can't get any closer. Also right next to restaurants and shops so you don't have to drive. This is all about being on the beach, see other reviews for more minor but helpful details.

Loved loved love the location. Having restaurants and the bike shop right next door was Awesome. There is damp musty smell but we used air fresheners. It is time to update the furniture and pictures. However, the place was cleaned. I loved having the beach chairs and the umbrella. I would like to go back after the furniture is updated. For a beach place it was good. We had no reason to call and ask for anything. Loved easy checkin.

Paying for location - pros and cons

PROS: You are paying for the location of this house - it's right next door to the local scene, so you don't have to drive anywhere. There are so many food options in walking distance it's great. The beach access is amazing, just walk across the busy boardwalk (beware!) and you are to the ocean in like 300 feet. CONS: My biggest gripe of the stay was the A/C didn't work consistently. The fan in the living area worked, but the master bedroom did not work at all. I had a Vacasa guy out there and he was like "sorry!" and didn't fix anything. We got the A/C to kick back on later that night but it was not very effective. We were without A/C for 24 hours and they said they'd credit our account and I have yet to see that. There are many homeless in the area and only one was super aggressive with language with our family. Although you are right next door to a food place, it was really quiet. The noisiness came from upstairs patrons, as it was quite loud. The parking spot is super tight. What you don't see in the pictures accurately are that the bedrooms are TINY. Like you can barely put your suitcase in there with you. Also, there is NO DAYLIGHT in the bedrooms. The windows are small. Which could be a positive and a negative - if you want to sleep it's perfect. It was so nice to have a washer and dryer, the dryer just took forever to dry anything. The couches in the family room are not comfortable. Luckily, we didn't spend much time on them. A vacuum would have been handy. I swept everyday, but there was so much sand. Although I called Vacasa to double check if they had chairs and an umbrella before we left on our trip, they told me the rental did not have them. So I packed them, only to find out they do have an umbrella and some beach chairs (we didn't have to use either since we packed our own). I would stay here again - I just think what I've listed above is so you can have the proper expectations for this rental.

Best location in Newport

Location location location!! Spacious and clean two bedroom. Comfy beds with Fold out couch in the living room too. Location is Within steps to multiple restaurants. The ice cream shop is literally next door (my ten year old loved that!) and another ten steps there’s a breakfast and coffee shop too. 7-eleven is across the street (5 minute walk if you need any incidental items). There are a lot of people Walking by the patio but that’s part of why we rented this location- we wanted to be in the center of everything. Great spot for BBQ and people watching. The house has everything you need, just bring your clothing. They even have kids shovels and sand buckets and beach chairs! (Id only request a small frying pan only!) I’d recommend bring your own laundry detergent if you plan on doing laundry and make sure to look inside the closets or on the patio (behind the bbq) for the extra beach items. The upstairs must have a great view so I’d like to check that unit out next time!

Near the action

The home is located literally right next door to the ice cream shop (they sell other food too). It’s a kids dream. The downfall is that our 5 yr old nearly got run over on the boardwalk more than once because he walked out the gate without looking. The home is older but since you’re so close to restaurants there really isn’t a reason to cook much. Bring your own chairs and sand toys. While the house was what we expected and OCEAN FRONT the management company is blah. We asked for four different things - early check in, later check out, extend the stay, coffee- they gave a generic “I’m sorry” reply each time. There’s no going above and beyond from the management company, however the owner of the property shouldn’t get a bad review for that. We wish there were some plastic style kid plates/bowls and cups. The laundry is very small and takes forever to dry even a small load. A vacuum would have been helpful. The sand gets everywhere. Overall we liked the place and would rent again.

Newport Fun time!

This beach house is right next to the pier with a wonderful ocean view! The home is next to all the restaurants, bars, bike and board rentals! The home itself has everything you need - sheets, towels, shampoo, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. Since the home is located on the boardwalk, its not a quiet location; however, we loved people watching and all the action! Hope to return soon. Thank you!
