not a good experience
this was our second stay in this unit. last year was a good experience. we stay for 5 weeks. first off we were greeted on the ferry with a captain that was rude on every trip. captain Mike was wonderful. when we got to our unit we found things were not what we expected. first off we were told by tarpan a new couch was in the unit-it was not. the couch in the unit is so bad we had to go buy some wood to put under the thin cushions. being in this unit for 5 weeks was a horrible thing on our back. we called tarpan and was told it was "ordered". we called to tell tarpan the fan in the family room did not work as well as the screen was laying on its side in the master. we got no help from tarpan. there is not cross ventilation without the screen in master. the unit was filthy!!i had to wipe out drawers and cabinets before i could put my clothes in. there were little bugs everywhere in the kitchen as well as sinks in bathrooms. bugs were frozen in the ice trays, bugs in the cabinets. while making the bed we saw a pair of womens dirty underware under the bed. i say all this because in my opinion the unit has not been cleaned in quite a while. last year the kitchen was stocked with items you would need to cook, this year it was not. i don't think the owner has checked on the unit in a while and tarpan is not manageing the propery properly. is Tarpan a management company??? we will not be back next year and have already booked a home off the island.
