This property has plenty of room for large groups. The amenities (pool, beach, paddle courts to name a few) are great additions for the visitors. Our stay was short and the weather was challenging but we were able to spend one day at the beach. The kids (4 grandchildren and 3 friend) had great fun playing in the water and on the beach. The host was very accessible and accommodating and responsive to our queries. We had dinner for 17 guests are the huge table which is as large as it appears and great for that size group to break bread together. The pool table and games are additionally inviting for the group to stay busy. To say this home is family- friendly is an understatement. We enjoyed our stay and appreciate the hospitality.

The house was wonderful. The kids had a great time deciding where to sleep.

Many different places for our family to gather and talk. We also love sitting around the fire pit at night and having s'mores. the talk was big enough for us to eat together and play games.

Stayed at Austin Dunes a Third Time

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the experience was excellent. The house meets our sleeping needs and is spacious to accommodate a meeting/eating area for a large crowd. Having stayed there on two prior occasions we knew what to expect. The property is well maintained except that the arcade machine once again was not operable this year. A bit of a bummer for the kids. Also we were too early to get access to a golf cart. Would have been nice to have access to it as we did the very first year we rented this property. Beachwalk provided the extra tables and chairs we needed and was generally responsive. Would recommend for large multi-family gatherings!

Beautiful home in a beautiful community

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home accommodated 4 generations comfortably. It was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. The beds were comfy. However, the living room couch and outdoor furniture were broken and pretty uncomfortable. It was great having the golf cart and wagons, although one wagon broke on the last day.

Great Property

Rating Details: The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Second time staying in this property with large extended family. Roomy and comfortable. Last year had access to golf cart. For some reason it was not made available. Also strange policy of providing limited toilet paper. But overall the stay was excellent.

Great for large groups

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay in this large home that accommodated four families very well. All of the bedrooms and common spaces were clean, which is a must. We enjoyed the house being on a lower traffic street within beachwalk, as many of the children were in the 2-8 years old range. The clubhouse, pool, volleyball courts, playground, and lake kai were all essential parts of the trip. Finally, the walk to Lake Michigan was very reasonable and allowed us to enjoy the large sandy beach and beautiful scenery. We would book this home again for a large group.

We were so happy to see our old friend get some love. New furniture, games and pool table really made the difference. Happy to return next year.

Thanksgiving Gathering

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent 3 days with our large family and extended family in this wonderful rental, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We rented both the main house and guest house. Both places were very clean, and we had everything we needed to prepare our Thanksgiving feast. They even provided a yummy coffee cake as a welcome gift, which was a nice touch. We had a problem with the oven in the main house, and the management responded in a very timely manner to fix the issue; and even provided us with a backup plan in case they were not able to resolve. Overall, this was a great experience, and we will definitely return!

House Sleeps Plenty

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was very spacious and had plenty of beds for all to sleep. The cabana in the back was very cute and made for a nice separation for those who got up early. Unfortunately the temperature control was challenging. It was either way too cold or way too hot. Covered porch furniture needs updating as well. Need more amenities in the public areas for the number of people on the resort. Only 3 ping pong paddles for two tables? Is there a place for a pickleball court?

Gorgeous Property

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our four children and their families joined us for a week at Austin Dune. We had stayed there 8 years ago and loved it. The accommodations are spacious, which turned out to be even more significant this time since three of the days were either stormy or had air quality warnings that kept us inside. The kitchen is well-equipped with every utensil you might need. The use of the golf cart was an extraordinary bonus, especially for the seniors with mobility issues and the preschoolers with little legs. We really appreciated the addition of the pool table in the basement, and the variety of games that were supplied in the living room. Our only problem was handled quickly and well by management when we reported it. A wonderful, memorable week.

DEVILLEZ Family vacation 2023

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our extended family booked 10 houses at Beachwalk Resort Michigan City IN. My family stayed at Austin Dunes Beach House. Even though we had 24 people in the house and Cabana we never felt crowded! There was so much room on each level people were able to spread out and not feel like we were in each others’ way. The house was very clean upon arrival. Amenities available. And it was nice to see some items left behind such as coffee filters. Dishwasher tabs. Paper products. There was plenty of kitchen items and grill tools to make family cooking very comfortable. It was a great location quick walks to pool. Beach. Cafe. And Central Park for evening entertainment. It also does not have a neighbor behind so when outside a sure sense of privacy was felt. It was an amazing week with 4 generations living loving and laughing together. Thanks for opening your home!❤️

House - great. Rental agency - Hmmm

The house (and guest house included) was just as promised. Clean, well decorated, spacious, and welcoming. Plenty of room. Nice to have several rooms to gather in rather than just a living room or kitchen. The extra fridge is a great feature. The fire pit is really nice in the evening and private. Beds were comfortable. The smart TV's didn't all work with the brief instructions given for which input to use, but we didn't mind. The managing company has MANY rules and waivers to sign. They had rules about how to adjust the thermostat only 3 degrees at a time, and on arrival only add a few items to the refrigerator in 30 minute increments. That's a bit unrealistic for a large group. One of their employees was so rude I almost cancelled. If you get her when you call, get her name as I did not, and hang up on her. Call another day and get someone better. The maintenance man came one evening to try to fix the gas fireplace. He was very nice and worked on it for an hour. It never worked. That would have been nice to have.

Thank you for the feedback and staying with us. We apologize for the multiple guidelines provided with your check in instructions. We do our best to help avoid the common hiccups that can cause a rather significant inconvenience for our renters, such as refrigerators freezing up when too much food is added at once, or A/C units stalling when temps are changed too dramatically, too soon. The owner has since called out a company to repair the fireplace and is now in great working order. Happy to hear you enjoyed the extensive updates the owner has provided within this property. Hope to see you again.
