THESE PEOPLE STUNK UP MY HOUSE WITH SMOKING AND......DID NOT OBEY "NO SMOKING HOUSE RULE" THEY DID NOT LIKE THE COLOR OF BATHROOM GROUT!

RESPONSE TO SUE M Reservation ID #HA-1QCYKF The property was serviced by a housekeeping crew consisting of three ladies prior to guest arrival. Their job consists of getting the trash to the dumpsters, loading and downloading any kitchenware not already in the cabinets into the dishwasher and when it is done running, they would put the items where they belong. If the items are already in the cabinets, it means the previous guest stocked the cabinets. They service homes for many other VRBO hosts in the area. This is the first complaint regarding their work since they have started serviceing this property. I have sent them a copy of this email so they are aware of this mishap and can take the necessary precautions to prevent reoccurrence of anything of this nature going forward. They send their apologies to the guests for their inconvenience and promise that nothing of the kind will occur in the future. Upon the guest bringing to my attention that the she felt the kitchenware were not clean, we had a casual conversation regarding the fact that there were previous guests. I mentioned that it was my nature when traveling with my small children that whether the glassware appeared clean or not , I washed the items before the kids used them. She found it necessary to mention that in her review. The guest called at 10:00 pm on Friday night November 29 and said the second floor master sink was clogged. After calling a minimum 10 numbers, I reached a plumber who agreed to come the next morning. I informed guest, she said she would be gone all day Saturday. I asked permission to enter with the plumber since they would be gone. The guest proceeded to thank me for finding someone so fast. There was a plunger in the sink, the water in the sink was clear. The guest had been plunging the sink before we got there. I have the pictures, the water in the sink was clear. The plumber tried to clear the sink for atleast a half hour and then told me he did not have the right snake for the job. The water in the sink was now rust color. He apologized and left. I started calling plumbers and got a popular company that agreed to send their man out to the house. He showed up a little after 6:00 pm and left at 6:45. He too, told me he did not have the right snake to do the job. The water in this second floor master bath sink was now black. This is an ensuite bath, so if you close the door to the bath and then close the bedroom door, that whole section of the house is closed off. The next morning the third plumber came, had the right equipment and cleared the clog. The guests arrived November 24 and reported the blockage at 10:00 pm November 29. No blockage in that sink before the 29th. The cause of the blockage is unknown. However it is certain that it occurred from usage during that 4 – 5 day period. The housekeeping crew has sent their apologies. But to be clear, the garbage was in the 2 car garage outside of the living quarters. The pool is not advertised, has never had a heating facility, nor has it ever been advertised with washrooms or a gym. An HOA owns and maintains the pool area, I do not own or maintain it. The bed which was purchased as a new item in 2022 at $800 has been removed from the house and completely replaced as of Dec. 3. I am furnishing pics of the clear water in the sink that was provided by this guest as they were using a plunger. The cleaning crew has worked their magic as soon as the blockage was successfully cleared. The toilet seat with the half inch paint chip has been disposed of and replaced with a shiny new seat. The guest was accommodated with an extended late check out so they were able to rest up before their late flight departed; free of any extra charge. In addition, I served as assistant manager of a good sized area hotel for many years, love every interesting minute of hospitality and the thrill of welcoming return guests who enjoy staying here and consider this their home away from home.
