The River Ranch cabin is advertised as being remote, and it sure lived up to that billing. It was a very nice cabin with everything a person could need, and the whirlpool tub in the bathroom is big enough for two! From Saturday afternoon when we arrived until noon Monday when we left, we did not see a soul. Exactly what we were looking for, but we still had phone and internet service as needed. We loved having private access to the river, and the swimming hole was so refreshing. I do wish we had brought a couple rafts/inner tubes to float on, and would highly recommend bringing them since the river bottom is pretty uneven and rocky. Also enjoyed laying outside at night and looking up at the stars. With almost no light pollution, we could see the sky clearly and enjoyed the cool evening air. We had planned to drive to the state park during the day, but loved our own private park so much we stayed put and were content eating the limited food we had brought. I highly recommend bringing a cooler of food so you can stay put for a few days and just enjoy this place without needing to make the drive into a town. There is a full kitchen and a nice gas grill on the back porch, might as well use them. If you are wanting to slow things down and just enjoy the outdoors by yourselves, this is the place for you.

Wowwwww, from when we drove up to this quaint little cabin and opened the door, we had such a relaxing and fun week which made it difficult to leave. Tommy and Becky were so awesome! Easy to communicate with and super friendly! And when we walked in we were greeted by a homemade honeybun cake!The property was just beautiful! We had private access to the river where we could kayak and fish. We also fished in their big pond. It was so nice sitting out on the back porch in the morning then we enjoyed a fire every evening. I highly recommend this special place…. We can’t wait to come back!

Amazing stay! The property is beautiful and so peaceful! There’s ponds to fish on, a river to swim in, and tons of open area for your kids and dogs to run and play. Becky baked the most delicious pie for us, that we devoured! Our family will definitely be back again for another trip! Would highly recommend staying here!

I believe this was our 5th trip to what my son calls “The Surprise Pie Cabin”. Our first visit in the winter. The sunrises and sunsets were glorious. We disconnected and watched movies/played games. Visited Hochatown. The best host on the planet, Becky, took me and my son to bottle feed a newborn baby cow that had lost her mother. This place is truly special. You’ll relax the second you hit the property, and every detail will be taken care of. We love it here!

We had the most amazing weekend at this little cabin in paradise. Our family of 2 adults and 3 kids (and a dog) loved fishing in the pond, walking down to the river, having s'mores around the campfire at night, and just exploring this beautiful property. Becky was an awesome host and we all thoroughly enjoyed the cake that was waiting for us when we checked in. We definitely look forward to visiting again!

Wonderful Country Get-away

We thoroughly enjoyed each day we were here. This quiet, tranquil place is exactly what we needed. There was nothing lacking. We caught fish, rode side-by-side, napped and caught up on some much needed rest. We have plans on returning. The hosts are very nice and family oriented. We have a autistic grandson that we are raising and he wasn't ready to come home. He was so relaxed and loved the entire time. We would highly recommend this cabin.

Peaceful Retreat

My wife and I have stayed at several secluded cabins over the years. This one is in the top 3 we have visited to date. The location is quiet and away from everything. It was exactly what I had hoped it would be. The owners were great and respected our space. Could not have asked for a better experience. The cabin had everything we needed inside and out. Wifi worked fine and was nice to have being so far from everything (we did bring a small smart TV for watching movies at night). The location is far enough out but still within an hour of Broken Bow and Mena. We visited both towns on our visit a few times for breakfast (make sure you go to Skyline Café in Mena) and dinner. Discovered a few great wineries (Visit Fishtales) in Broken Bow as well. We love to fish and really enjoyed the proximity to multiple ponds on the property. I caught my fill of bass and crappie on the larger pond by the cabin. There was lots of wildlife to see in the area. We saw a few deer, a fox and other wildlife on our visit. On our visit to Mena we headed up to Queen Willamena Park and saw a few bears on the way back to the cabin. Just a great overall experience and much needed reboot from living in a city in Texas. Would absolutely go back.

Wonderful Property

This was a very relaxing place. Clean, secluded, close to the river, and multiple fishing options. It does advertise a hot tub; however, it’s a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. We were expecting a hot tub outside. Either way, the property and host were great!

Amazing stay with warm hospitality!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cabin and soaked up every relaxing minute wandering the amazingly beautiful and tranquil property with our son and our doodle “Waffles”. I even got a chance to pull a bass and a couple of nice crappie out of the private pond. Becky could not have been more accommodating and her delightful homemade honey bun cake was the best surprise. It made it less than one day before it was all gone. We will return!
