Sooke Ocean View Suite

Unsere Suite befindet sich in einer ruhigen Straße, nur einen Block vom Meer und zwei Blocks vom Stadtzentrum entfernt, und bietet den Gästen das Beste von Sooke. Der Ed Macgregor Park, der Rotary Pier, Restaurants, Cafés, Lebensmittelgeschäfte, ein Fitnessstudio und Yogastudios sind nur einen kurzen Spaziergang entfernt.
Die Gästesuite befindet sich im Erdgeschoss unseres Hauses. Wir leben mit unserem Hund Skylar im Haus. Die Suite wurde kürzlich renoviert und ist komplett eigenständig mit einer kompletten Küche. Es gibt ein separates Schlafzimmer mit einem Queensize-Bett und eine Ausziehcouch im Wohnzimmer. Die Terrasse ist sonnig und bietet Blick auf das Meer und die Olympische Halbinsel.

Wer dagegen die Attraktionen der Region bewundern möchte, ist hier richtig: Witty's Lagoon Regional Park und Langford Lanes. Super gemütliche, saubere und grosszügige Ferienwohnung.Man hat sich wie zu Hause gefühlt und jeden Abend aufs Zurückkommen gefreut.Die Lage ist perfekt, nah am Wasser, und der umwerfende Gastgeber hat uns mit vielen Tips für hervorragende Ausflüge versorgt. Wir haben sehr bedauert, dass wir in dieser grandiosen Unterkunft auf unserer Rundreise nur 3 Tage bleiben konnten.

Make sure you talk to Bob!

Der Vermieter der Fewo heißt Bob und ist auch Baumeister ;) Er ist in Personalunion tätig als Vermieter, Ausbauer weiterer Fewos und Fremdenführer. Die Wohnung ist für zwei Personen sehr geräumig geschnitten und hat ein großes Bad. Sowohl von innen als auch von der Terrasse gibt es Blick aufs Meer. Bob gibt wertvolle Tipps für Aktivitäten in der Umgebung, aber auch Infos zum Rest von Kanada und zum Verhalten bei Begegnung mit Bären und Pumas. Dadurch erübrigt sich der Weg ins Tourist Office :) I highly recommend not to miss the chance to talk to Bob!! Gutes Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis.

We had a fantastic stay at Bob and Caroline’s suite in Sooke! Bob greeted us when we arrived, showing us around, how things worked, and provided great advice on things to see/do in the area. He was extremely friendly and easy to chat with. The kitchen is well set-up, bed comfortable, washer/dryer worked great, and strong water pressure in the shower. We’ve stayed at many vacation rentals and this was one of the cleanest. The electric fireplace made the suite feel so cozy in the evenings. Peaceful location with a beautiful view of the water. We also enjoyed the boardwalk just a minute away. Definitely will plan to stay here again if we are back in Sooke!

The Ocean view suite was Awesome ! The full kitchen was clean & large and had everything needed for a Wonderful stay. The King sized bed was very comfy. It was also nice having a wisher/dryer ... saved bringing too many clothes. Bob was a pleasure to deal with ... looking forward to our next stay !!!

Host met us as we arrived. He was extremely nice and walked us through the property and then asked what we wanted to do and see in the area. He then gave us a very good summary of things to do and places to eat. The property was very well maintained and very nice. Bed was super comfortable. Very spacious place near the ocean. Highly recommend this property.

Very well kept, compact unit with thoughtful design and inside amenities. Great communication with the host, Bob, who is a member of the historical society and who gave us good tips and recommendations on local sites and beaches of interest. Proximity to these areas as well as convenient shops and restaurants is also very good. The only thing that would give this a perfect score is if it were right on the water. Otherwise, it is still close to the nearby boardwalk on the waterfront and other nature trails that can be easily accessed by walking or driving.

There's a reason this place has such superlative reviews - it is an absolute gem. The accommodation, layout, cleanliness, comfort,and location are all first-rate, plus a secure place to store bicycles! But the real reason it's special is the host. Bob is the essence of generosity who went above and beyond in so many ways. We also benefitted from the kindness of his daughter who clearly shares Bob's generous spirit. We were able to bike to the Sooke Potholes, walk to restaurants, and kayak in the Basin, with advice and assistance from our hosts that ensureed our stay was memorable and magical. If we return to Sooke i can't imagine staying anywhere else. Thank you so much Bob, Caroline, and Katie!

Every detail has been considered, from the cozy furnishings to the well-appointed spaces. I especially loved sipping coffee on the deck with the stunning ocean views each morning. It truly felt like a home away from home, but with all the added luxuries of a dream vacation.The location in Sooke is simply ideal. I spent my days exploring the breathtaking coastline, hiking the nearby trails, and soaking in the peaceful West Coast atmosphere. Returning to such a welcoming and serene retreat each evening was the perfect end to my adventures.Finally, Bob, the host, was absolutely wonderful—responsive, helpful, and clearly dedicated to ensuring I had the most incredible stay. Peaceful Perfection

I was in town for a family wedding at the Prestige so the location was perfect, which was why I selected it. I was met by Bob and his 4 legged welcoming committee. He showed me a few details about the unit and advised me he'd be around if I needed anything. The wedding events didn't allow much time for me to be in the unit which is unfortunate. This space is so beautifully decorated, comfortable and peaceful. The kitchen is stocked with everything you'll need (maybe not a blender but I didn't open every cupboard). It was so quiet at night I had the best sleep in ages!! Was able to take time for a walk at Whiffin Spit (10 minute drive away) which was also perfect for the soul. Thanks for a perfect retreat, Bob and Caroline!
