This was the fourth B&B we stayed at during our road trip from San Francisco to Los Angeles, and weâre so glad Hilltopia was our final stopâit truly was the proverbial cherry on the cake. From the start, Yvette and Mick were incredibly responsive, both before and during check-in. Yvette greeted us warmly and gave a quick tour of the property, which was a thoughtful touch. It was great to hear about the area from someone who actually lives there. Yvette also provided excellent recommendations for local spots and explained the house rules, which we appreciated. The unit itself is spacious and beautifully decorated. It felt like stepping back into the Laurel Canyon of the 1960s and 1970s, yet modern comforts like high-speed internet and heating kept everything balanced. The complimentary snacks and drinks were a nice gesture, even though we didnât have much time to enjoy them because we were busy exploring. The view is absolutely stunning. Perched high in Laurel Canyon, it might feel a little daunting for some, but the payoff is spectacularâpanoramic city views, the Hollywood sign, and even snow-capped mountains in the distance (which we glimpsed briefly before the rain set in).As for not having a TV in the room? Not an issue at allâyouâve got a super big screen right outside your window: the canyon, the city, and everything in between. Itâs a view that will keep you entertained for hours. We also enjoyed listening to music on the Soundbox and playing the games provided by
