Willkommen in der Owl Rock Lodge, einem 1,2 ha großen Anwesen im Craftsman-Stil, eingebettet in die Berge in der Nähe des Bass Lake und des Südeingangs zum Yosemite-Nationalpark. Dieses einstöckige, 2900 m² große Haus mit 4 Schlafzimmern ist perfekt für einen ruhigen und erholsamen Familienurlaub. Unsere große Küche ist komplett mit allen Annehmlichkeiten von zu Hause ausgestattet, einschließlich; Doppelbackofen, reichlich Geschirr & Besteck, Kaffeemaschine und ein Keurig, Reiskocher, Crockpot, Mixer und sogar ein Weinkühlschrank. Genießen Sie die Ruhe im Freien auf der hinteren Terrasse an unserem Tisch im Freien für 6 Personen oder in unserem Whirlpool für 6 Personen. Achten Sie auf einheimische Rehe, die von der Sitzecke der Veranda auf der anderen Straßenseite durch die Wiese ziehen. Entspannen Sie sich im Wohnzimmer neben unserem Kamin (Holz steht Ihnen zur Verfügung) oder schauen Sie sich einen Film auf unserem 70-Zoll-4-KHD-Flachbildfernseher an. Benötigen Sie etwas mehr Action? Entspannen Sie sich in unserer Garage und spielen Sie ein paar Ping-Pong- oder Tischfußballspiele. Der Spielbereich bietet auch ein Sofa, einen 50-Zoll-Fernseher und eine Bar.

Genießen Sie nach einem Tagesausflug zum nahe gelegenen Bass Lake, Yosemite, Mariposa oder versuchen Sie Ihr Glück im Chukchansi Casino. Genießen Sie eine Mahlzeit in unserem formellen Essbereich mit 8 Plätzen und ruhen Sie sich anschließend in unseren Queensize-Betten mit Memory Foam-Matratzen in jedem Schlafzimmer aus. Die Master-Suite verfügt auch über einen gemütlichen Gaskamin, eine großzügige Dusche, zwei Waschbecken und einen begehbaren Kleiderschrank.

Hi Lucas Sorry you were uncomfortable with the A/C, we have ceiling fans in all the bedrooms and living spaces as well as extra portable fans in each bedroom and a large one in the game room that could be used if needed. During all our communications with our guest we always ask to please let us know if you have any questions! Had you contacted us we could have resolved your issue at that moment, sorry you did not reach out to us by message or phone call whichever way was most convenient for you. This is a must stay property!Owl Rock exceeded our expectations. Highest rating in every category. Daily deer visits. Beautifully decorated. Close proximity to Bass Lake and Yosemite south entrance. Very nice, large, sparkling clean hot tub. Game room is much fun. Everything you need to cook a meal is provided. Special touches everywhere you look. Mike & Minnie are the nicest, easily accessible, responsive, and helpful hosts. If we make it back to the area, we will certainly stay at Owl Rock and recommend to friends and family. Impossible to list all the positives about this property and owners

There would never be enough space to list the many positives about this property and our rental experience. The home is filled with anything and everything that any family could possible need while on vacation. Everywhere you look there is a beautiful space with an even more beautiful view. The location is perfect for visiting Yosemite and Bass Lake. The owners could not have been more responsive and easier to work with. Our family's vacation went way beyond our expectations. After visiting all other National Parks on my bucket list, we will definitely be back and hope to rent the same fabulous home.

Charming & Thougthful

The property is close enough to town, that you can drive to get supplies and then get away from it all. My Wife really appreciated all the décor and amenities. Unfortunately, we didn't get to enjoy the playroom, but it seemed fun. The vaulted ceilings in the living room are great and make it seem open with views out the windows everywhere. The house has natural wildlife--we got to share the outdoor jacuzzi with passing deer. Overall, the house is a home that checks all the boxes if you're staying in Oakhurst. Will hopefully stay here again in near future! Well done! =)

It doesn’t get better…

Usually there is some disappointment with a place in person compared to the photos online and listing… not at Owl Rock Lodge, it doesn’t get better than this place! First off the owners are on top of everything, from the moment I messaged them, to the detailed and thoughtful check in information and local attractions, and they make check out a breeze. The house is spacious! We are a family of 5 with kids ranging from 3-19 years old, there is space and things to do for everyone! The cleanliness factor is a 10 out of 10. Every necessity you could think of is taken care of. It’s easy to get to South Gate from the house and bass lake is beautiful and very close to the house. I could go on and on. Bottom line, don’t think twice… this is the place. Thank you Mike and Minnie for hosting us and going above and beyond. I’m not sure anything will top our stay for the remainder of the road trip!

I'm a host too, and this place is great!

This property checks all the boxes one hopes to be checked when renting a large home for a family getaway. Never mind the fabulous location (Oakhurst is the nicest town anywhere near Yosemite), this home is also furnished and equipped the way a person with good tastes would furnish and equip their own home. I'm ultra picky, but I found nothing lacking. My bar for rentals just got raised and I even learned a few tricks from the clever hosts of this home, how I can do better with my own VRBO rental property. Super clean, everything looked super clean, fresh, in order, and easy to find. The huge kitchen was a real delight to prepare meals in and the cookware and utensils were quality, not cheap rental grade junk so typical in a rental. The only dissapointment was the fireplace cannot be used due to fire danger conditions in CA. But there are some electric candles in there that light up with a remote and look nice. The hotub was clean, hot, functioned well, and lit up with built-in LED's. The outdoor sitting areas are well landscaped and inviting. The mule deer visited daily and could be seen from the breakfast table. Nearby in Oakhurst is a 4x4 rental and tour company. Near Bass Lake is one of the country's best forests for 4x4 and dirt bike travel, the Sierra National Forest has fantastic back country roads to explore and camp without the crowds of Yosemite. Check out the Avenza app for Forest Service maps that can be used offline. I'm back home now from a wonderful time with a luxury base camp at Owl Rock Lodge for a week. If this is your flavor home, it's a real winner.

Location and amenities galore

This is a really nice place that feels brand new...the hot tub seems like it was delivered yesterday. The cookware is barely used. The home itself has a lot of new things like the towels etc. So nothing shabby here. The property is set in stone...I mean that natural rocks are literally where they left them and built the house around them. Pretty cool. The yard offers a lovely spot for the easily working fire pit. There are plenty of critters to observe as well. The amenities are abundant with a game room that is made for pandemic...I mean if you can't go out you'd be kept occupied here. The only issue is that most people probably go to the area to enjoy the outdoors and unless you have frat boys or a bunch of kids you probably won't get much use out of it. Another downside is the sunlight inside. We were mostly out for the day so I didn't notice it until I spent an afternoon alone there. It's dark inside. The sun rises and sets on windowless areas of the living space for the most part. It would drive me crazy on a daily basis but for a short stay you might not notice the cave like feel. All in all it was totally worth the affordable price and is most likely amazing in winter if that is your thing. Just be sure to ask if the fireplace will be functional first because it would make a huge difference in winter.

Owl Rock Lodge

Pride of ownership is evident throughout this property! It's spacious, has wonderful beds, is immaculate, and is well-equipped in every way from indoor and outdoor entertainment to a high-end kitchen. The surrounding are peaceful with visiting wildlife to enjoy. We loved our week at Owl Rock Lodge.

Incredible Property and Home

Only one word describes this property, "WOW!" That was the word out of everyone's mouth as we arrived and explored this beautiful home and property. The property is very spacious and enjoyable. We had fun trying out the variety of outdoor seating areas both morning and evening. The outdoor lighting creates such a relaxing atmosphere past sunset, and the deer wandering through the property topped off the outdoor experience. Inside the home is immaculate, tastefully decorated, and well equipped with everything you'll need to feel right at home. We were impressed by the attention to detail from owners who clearly take pride in their home and property. The game room was an outstanding place to play, and just plain fun to hang out in. We would most definitely recommend this property for anyone looking for the perfect getaway in a quiet neighborhood, less than 10 minutes from Hwy 41, and less than 20 minutes to Bass Lake.

Just Perfect!

My family stayed at this property while visiting Yosemite and Sequoia/King Canyon. This was the perfect retreat after long days of hiking! Even before we arrived, Mike and Minnie were so responsive to questions and provided great suggestions for restaurants/site-seeing while there. They made it so easy for us to just enjoy our vacation! The property is very close to town, so easy access to grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, and gas. It was also an easy drive to both Yosemite and Sequoia/Kings Canyon. Though it was far enough out of town that it was peaceful and quiet. The property is so sereen - a beautiful, relaxing backyard where we saw wildlife (mostly deer) everyday. So peaceful and quiet to lay in the hammock or relax in the hottub. Finally, the home had so much space for each of us to retreat on our own or come together. The home was fully stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms (no need to pick up anything from the store!). If traveling to the area again, I would definitely choose to stay here again, no question!

Upscale and fun home - perfect location for Bass Lake and Yosemite adventures

A high-end home and the perfect VR - well laid-out and labeled. Everything you need and nothing that you don't. Full amenities for everyone: large chef's kitchen for group cooking, hot tub, an amazing game room in the large converted garage; all in a quiet, walkable and accessible neighborhood. Beautiful Property!

Beautiful property and wonderful house! We so enjoyed our stay here! The house was incredibly clean. The kitchen had all the cooking amenities needed to make a wonderful meal. We loved the space! Neighbors were very friendly. The hosts were easy to communicate with. We loved the deer friends that would hangout in the backyard in the afternoons. We've stayed at quite a few different properties over the years, and this place is one of our new favorites. If you enjoy nature and relaxation, you'll love this property. We saw deer, birds, squirrels, and wild turkeys in the backyard every day, and it's less than an hour drive from the entrance to Yosemite National Park. Awesome place!

Group of 6 adults looking for a quick getaway to enjoy each others company and this place was perfect. We sat in the backyard with the deer wandering around us, enjoyed the peace and quiet. This really is a special place and the house was decorated beautifully.

Beautiful and convenient hone

This is one of the nicest homes we have stayed in. Very comfortable, well equipped with high quality appliances and kitchen ware, great beds and baths. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Home!

This property was better than the pictures! Beautiful grounds, house was very clean and nice. Great place for our family of 6 to spread out. The game room was a big hit for the kids and the adults! Close to bass lake, Yosemite, grocery stores and restaurants. I would highly recommend, and look forward to staying again next time in the area.

Wonderful base!

Such a lovely place to stay and come back to after a day of adventuring in Yosemite. The game room was so much fun and the space was perfect for relaxing in.

Easter Vacation

Our stay at Owl Rock was the best vacation our family has had in years. The owners supplied everything possible and then some. We took Long walks and saw deer grazing , turkeys and many squirrels. The neighbors were very friendly. We look forward to our next visit to Owl Rock.

Perfect place for a getaway and close to Yosemite.

The property was clean, quiet and relaxing. All the necessities were provided. Both the kids and the adults enjoyed playing in the game room with ping-pong, foosball, corn hole and other games. The backyard had a number of places to sit, horseshoes and lots of beautiful trees that chirped with birds and squirrels. We were able to drive from there Yosemite for the day and also took a midday trip to Fish Camp for some snow playing. But, if you just want a calm place to relax and not leave this is the place.
