Niedliches Strandhaus unter lebenden Eichen, nur wenige Schritte vom Strand entfernt. Gemütlicher Wohnraum mit TV. Die Küche ist überraschend groß mit einem Essbereich und einer halben Badewanne. Waschküche befindet sich an der Hintertür. Im Obergeschoss befinden sich zwei Schlafzimmer und zwei en-suite Badezimmer. Einer hat nur eine Dusche und der andere hat eine kombinierte Badewanne / Dusche. Alle Annehmlichkeiten von zu Hause und ein großartiger Ort, um Ihre Zehen in den Sand zu stecken. Sie werden Ihren ruhigen Rückzugsort in der Conch Shell Lane genießen.

Das Haus befindet sich am südlichen Ende der Insel, nahe der Sackgasse des Beachview Drive in der Conch Shell Lane. Sie sind nur wenige Minuten von der St. Das Viertel Simons 'Pier Village ist ein beliebtes Ziel für Einkäufe, Restaurants und Versammlungen am Pier und in der Nähe von Leuchttürmen, Spielplätzen und Picknickplätzen. Mit Blick auf das Meer und die Jekyll-Insel auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite finden Sie die St. Simons Leuchtturm und Museum, Neptune Park mit Pool und Einrichtungen am Meer, Spielplatz, Minigolfplatz und Picknickplatz im Eichenschatten, Angelsteg, öffentliche Bibliothek und Theater.

Eine beliebte Aktivität nach dem Abendessen ist ein Spaziergang am Strand bei Sonnenuntergang oder ein Spaziergang durch das Dorf, ein Bummel durch die Boutiquen und ein Eisessen. Es gibt eine Reihe von lokalen Bäckereien und Süßwarengeschäften im Pier Village, die Ihren Gaumen verwöhnen werden.

Lovely little cottage in a GREAT location!

We had a lovely stay over spring break at the Hideaway Cottage and LOVED it. It was in a perfect location and our dog Pearl had as much fun as we did. We would stay again!

Great location! Very short walk to the beach

We loved our stay here with our family of four, plus our dog. Super short walk to the beach—closer than I had expected, even. Loved the tucked away little lane it was on, with the shade trees, etc. Very nice inside, clean. Would stay again!

Great 3 day beach trip

Lovely cottage-y feel

This older house just had just the right balance of updated kitchen and baths with lovely old features and construction quirks left undisturbed. In addition, the location was ideal. Combined with excellent communication from the management company, and super cleanliness, it was a vacation stay I dearly wanted to extend.

Solid "no frills" accommodation

Great heavy-wooded neighborhood of small cottages. Short walk to beach - though nearby beach is not usable during high tide -- but short car ride north to spectacular east beach fixes that. Also short walk to several nice restaurants. House is simple, but clean, well equipped, and comfortable. We would stay again. .

Location, privacy, comfortably aged, yet modernized in all the right ways.

This was a return trip to a favorite cottage with outstanding location, wonderful ambiance, and a few quirks due to its age. Wonderful to see that the owner continues to make upgrades on the infrastructure. It is relaxing to stay in a place so clean, yet not in a sterile way, as it is furnished and decorated pleasantly. I already miss it!

Location was great, one block off of beach - easy & fast walk. Owners were great and easy to communicate with. Not disclosed in pricing was the $200 non-refundable pet deposit on top of the $500 refundable deposit. Overall, the house had everything we needed except a pool!

Good choice for our needs

We wanted a place close to the beach and the village since we had a booth at Art Under the Oaks in Postell Park. Being puppy friendly, we made the short walk to wake up and put the sun to bed on a daily basis. The house met our needs, and my family agreed that we would stay there again.

Very small

It was nice but very small. 2 and 1/2 baths without a full size shower. It’s more of a beach cabin. Ceilings low and stairs are very tight. Had air but you need to use the window units in both bedrooms to keep it cool.

John, sorry the cottage wasn't for you. Just to clarify, the shower is full size and the ceilings are standard 8 feet. This isn't a Hilton hotel but its a great little spot about as close to the beach as you can get for a cute, clean cottage on SSI. Thanks for staying with us!

Great location, nice house, well equipped/clean

Excellent location! Lot of trees around (mosquitos!) so house little dirty on outside. Well equipped kitchen and everything quite clean. Enough supplies present (toiletpaper etc.). We would have liked the master bedrm to have King bed rather than 2 dressers and a table. Excellent service and quick responses from Lighthouse! Beach at Myrtle St. 2 minute walk away. Bathrooms very small but they work and were clean, the one can loose the tub for sure. All in all we had lovely few days.

Photos were very misleading

Very disappointed in the house itself. The photos posted represented on the VRBO site are very misleading. While we enjoyed the close proximity to the beach, the house really needs an overhaul and updates. The Primary bedroom mattress/box springs were pretty dirty…just too many to list. Thankfully it was a short stay and we did enjoy the short walk to the beach. Other than that, the price per night, we could’ve stayed in something better.

Disappointing

The photos were deceiving. There was no yard for our dog. Instead four houses on one lot. I have never seen so many extension cords in any house I’ve been in (living room and master bedroom). It’s an old summer house that’s been converted to a year round home. The furnace is in the master bedroom’s closet. The kitchen was the only comfortable room in the house. AND, the smell. We left a week early because the musty smell was too much for us. Our clothes that hung in the bedroom closet smelled musty still when we arrived home three days later.

Great family beach trip

Wonderful week on St. Simon’s Island with the family! The location of this cottage can’t be beat - literally across the street from beach access. The beach was never overly crowded and was the perfect place for a morning walk with the dogs and a midday swim. It’s also walking distance from several restaurants including Crabdaddys and Barrier Island Brewing. The cottage itself is older but very cute and well maintained. The ice maker had some issues but a call to Lighthouse and it was resolved quickly. We will definitely try to return to this cottage next year! We may make this our annual family vacation destination.

Won’t be staying in this house again.

As always, we enjoyed our trip to St Simons Island. However we will not be staying in this rental house again. The location was great, across the street from the beach. However the house itself was not good. Upon first entering the house we noticed a VERY strong musty/mildew smell. You kind of get used to it but your clothes smell like it when you leave the house. The house has been fixed up a bit but definitely was not well done. One shower is inside a claw foot tub so a bit awkward to shower in. The other shower is rather small but worked well enough I suppose. There are older window A/C units in the bedrooms, one of which didn’t work well. The house had dog hair all through it. We had our dog there ( doesn’t shed) so we don’t mind a little hair but it shouldn't be that bad after the prior ‘cleaning’. Also, one bathroom door knob didn’t work so you couldn’t close the door for privacy, and that bathroom is in the kitchen, so not good. One bedroom door was basically hanging off the hinges so difficult to close. There are also some severely uneven/ sloped floors upstairs. My wife said it reminded her of a carnival funhouse. The ceilings are also very low. I’m 6’ and hit my head on several ceiling fans. The tv in the living room only got 5 channels so basically useless. Lastly, the house is tucked away in the very back of a very tight alley making parking difficult. I have an F250 truck and getting in and out of the property was a bit tricky.

Enjoyed staying at this cute little beach cottage! Very accurate description of online listing. Location was great - very short walk to the beach and close to the village. This location is great, the beach and great restaurants are so close within walking distance. Lighthouse vacation rentals are great to work with and quick to answer any questions. The property was comfortable and well decorated. Great choice!

Amazing!

The house was so cute and cozy, exactly as described and had everything we needed that we may have forgotten to bring! The location was INCREDIBLE for a quick walk to the beach!! Really hoping to stay here again!!

Cute house, great location!

This house was just the right size for my family and is in a perfect location with easy access to the beach as well as proximity to restaurants and shopping. The kitchen is large with everything you could possibly need and the house was well-stocked with supplies. Bathrooms were very clean and the bedrooms were cool and comfortable at night. One thing that would make the house even more family-friendly would be an additional television in at least one of the bedrooms. I also felt like the carpet upstairs was a little dated and would be better with a hardwood or tile floor, just because of all the sand coming through! We had a wonderful week on St. Simons and will certainly consider staying here again in the future!

If you got pets and are In a pinch.

The living room and kitchen were nice but the bedrooms are dated. The property is in a great location but the outdoor space is bad to non-existent. We needed a place that accepted pets so we had limited choices. For the price not great.
