The house was fine. Some appliances were dated. This was verified by the fact that our refrigerator broke down. It was repaired 30 hours later, with loss of some perishables, despite constantly keeping them on ice. The owners stated that they would compensate us by refunding the fee for 2 days stay. A decades old microwave is installed in the kitchen that should be removed.
We were disappointed with communications with the owners. When checking out, we informed the owners that a ¼ cup of coffee had been spilled on a shag carpet. We cleaned the spot immediately, we thought satisfactorily. The owners did not agree. They insisted that the entire carpet needed to be replaced. Despite multiple requests, they would not send a picture of the carpet. They then reneged on the compensation for the inconvenience of no refrigerator. In addition, the pet security deposit was finally returned after 5 months.
An item was left by one of our children. We knew where it was left and requested that it be returned--- no response from the owners.
