Willkommen in Hamakua Pukana La Hale - eine brandneue Ferienwohnung!

Dieses wunderschön eingerichtete Haus mit 3 Schlafzimmern und 2 Bädern befindet sich auf einem privaten Grundstück an der Hamakua Küste nördlich von Hilo! Dieses brandneue Ferienhaus mit Meerblick bietet Platz für 7, maximal 4 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder. Die Landschaft und das Gelände sind spektakulär und bieten einen 6 Fuß großen Buddha und Meditationsraum. Die französischen Türen öffnen sich, damit diese Passatwinde das Haus füllen können. Hier ist keine Klimaanlage nötig! Dezember - März ist Walsaison, und Sie haben einen Platz in der ersten Reihe für alle Walaktivitäten, an denen Sie teilnehmen können.

Die Küche ist groß und einfach zu verarbeiten und verfügt selbstverständlich über alle Annehmlichkeiten, die Sie benötigen, um diese leckeren Speisen auf der Insel zuzubereiten. Das Hauptschlafzimmer mit eigenem Bad, Kingsize-Bett, privatem Meerblick und Lanai ist der perfekte Rückzugsort nach einem langen Sightseeing-Tag. Das erste Zimmer verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett und das 2. Zimmer verfügt über ein Etagenbett für die jüngeren Kinder mit einem vollen Boden und zwei Einzelbetten.

Von dieser günstigen Lage aus erkunden Sie die alte Stadt Hilo mit ihrem großartigen Bauernmarkt, historischen Museen und den wichtigsten Haltestellen. Entdecken Sie auch den schönen Akaka Water Falls Park und den Old Mamalahoa Highway, die ursprüngliche Autobahn, die in den 20er Jahren gebaut wurde und die Sie von der Stadt Hilo in das schöne Pferdeland von Waimea führt.

Vom Haus aus sind es nur 20 Minuten Fahrt nach Süden nach Hilo (viele Strandparks und Schnorchelplätze hier), 20 Minuten nach Norden nach Honokaa-Stadt, Waipio-Tal und von dort aus nur noch wenige Minuten zum schönen Weiß sandiger Hapuna Beach.

We loved our home base

It was amazing to have a comfortable home while out exploring the island! We are from Georgia and had a brief panic when we realized there was no air conditioning, but were impressed with how pleasant the house quickly becomes with open windows. It was a great stay - I wouldn’t change a thing!

Peaceful retreat

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of this rental is surrounded by greenery. It's on the rainy outside of the island so do expect some rain. Everything you need is provided. The beds are comfortable and the linens are clean. The washer and dryer was very convenient. The host was quick to respond when we tried to contact them. Grab groceries before you head here it's about 35 minute drive from Hilo. The drive to Kona is beautiful. If you plan to do activities I would book a couple in one day, due to the driving time. Beach supplies were also included which was very nice.

Lovely View From the Hamakua Coast

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view from the lanai and living room is awesome. We could easily see over the first tier of homes. Quite close to the highway, but noise wasn't a problem. The beds were comfortable, kitchen well-appointed, plenty of towels and beach accessories. The furniture is nice (just wish there was more of it in the living room). Very close to Akaka Falls, but about 20 minutes from Hilo. The mosquitoes are horrible--come prepared with deet! Also, not enough laundry or dish soap is provided (rather silly, considering what renters are paying). The single story layout was perfect for my 85-yr-old mother, although she did note a lack of grab bars. I do recommend this home, but you'll enjoy it more if you're prepared!

Misleading Picture of the House

First of, the picture listed of the house is NOT the actual house. Positives: Location was nice with good distance/access. View from the house was beautiful. Spacious for 7 people. It was nice to have washer/dryer. The Hawaii Life folks were responsive.Negatives: completely misled with the pictures of where the house is relative to the area. Bit dirty; lots of dust/dirt on kitchen counters. No cell signal; make sure you have call over wifi active, otherwise make sure to have the email for Hawaii Life rep to communicate. House needs a bit of updating; no instructions on some of the outdated features (incl shower) so it took effort to figure out how to operate. Wouldve been nice to have more toiletries; 2 tiny bars of soap for 7 people is ridiculous. Biggest issues was the moldy smell of the entire house (incl bed).. Would not stay at this location again

It is a little far from everything so expect to drive- the flipside of that is that it is a beautiful drive! Our favorite close-by spot was Laupahoehoe beach park (10 min) and Waimea Town (30min). Our suggestion is to get groceries before arriving to the house if you can, each big store is about 30-40 min drive. Be sure to pack a sweater because you’ll want to watch the sunrise from the lanai but it can feel a little chilly!

Views are spectacular with the nightly sounds of frogs and occasional wild pig sittings. It’s location Is a nice short distance from Hilo and a little short trip to Kona with beautiful stops along the way. Perfect spot for roaming Akaka falls, cow cuddling, the botanical gardens and the Hilo farmers market.

It was comfortable, clean, had sufficient amount of amenities, and the TV was SMART - so a few latest technologies were included. The home was a bit out of the way for us, as the reason for the trip being our attendance at the Merrie Monarch festival in Hilo, the description and directions to the home were very accurate. My only comment, which is strictly personal, is I would choose other accent decor...the tikiʻs, tribal masks, and little coconut figurines kind of weirded us out from a local perspective. Again, only personal opinion. Otherwise, Hamakua Pukana La Hale was a lovely vacation getaway! Mahalo!

Nice location - secluded with nice views of the ocean.

Great house. A little warm during the day, but we were out of the house most of the time - cools off nice in the evening. House is a little far from many of the tourist activities (this is both good and bad - really quite area). 35-40 mins to Hilo, a little over an hour to Hapuna Beach. Nice kitchen set up - used everyday for breakfast and some dinners. We really enjoyed our stay.
