Amazing experience at the Blue Aspen 1

We loved the property. It is beautiful and modern with all the amenities needed to have a great stay. We expend the first days of Jan 2025 there and it cannot be a better start of the year. We all loved the great views and my son enjoyed the hot tube. We definitively recommend this property.

Convenient Ski In/Out for our Family

This house was perfect for our family with 3 teens. Ski run access was a short walk up the hill. We were able to stop for lunch no problem.

The property is amazing. The view cannot be beat. Just be aware you are about 9,800' so prep for the altitude. We had an incredible vacation and the home is stunning.

This place was really out of the way (and Angel Fire itself doesn’t have a lot of amenities) but the house was gorgeous with possibly the best views in the area!

Excellent location - close to the ski area - really nice upscale property. Well maintained - modern and cool. Recommend you reach out to the host/manager ahead of time to see what they provide and what they penalize you for.

Great home

The house was great! The view from the house was beautiful. Our family had a great time and enjoyed staying there. The ski in/ski out is some work. We’re all in pretty good shape and tried it one day and preferred driving the couple miles to the base of the mountain. Nonetheless, we’d stay here again. Thank you

Great home right on the mountain

Very nice home with all the amenities. Perfect for a family, or two couples. Very convenient to the mountain. Jumped on the bike, rode 2 minutes to trail, then down to lift. This home is 20 min drive uphill from town if you need to go there. Outside of this, the home is a premier property.

Love the view!!!!

We came to relax and ski for four days. We got exactly that. The hike up to slope was as advertised(a little work) but loved being able to hike up to slope and ski, hike down to eat lunch. Much better than loading up car.

Amazing property. A good 15 minute drive to Angel Fire resort and town.

The property was gorgeous. Gorgeous view and house itself was amazing. Definitely recommend a four wheel drive vehicle in winter months. An experienced skier could ski out of this property, but property managers advised us not to as the depth of the snow was unknown and could be up to chest. Would definitely stay here again. Everything first class.

Gorgeous Setting

The house is gorgeous and matched the description well. The fireplace on the porch is perfect for cool nights! The air on the mountain is crisp and clean and it was so nice to open the many windows in the house. The house smelled a bit musty downstairs but quickly changed with opening windows. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the area!

Brilliant ski weekend!

We loved our stay here for a ski weekend with extended family in Angel Fire! I read the reviews for info about the ski in/ski out and it could be better, but we used it a lot! It is a bit of a hike, but even my 6 year old did it with her skis. The space is a tiny bit smaller than it appears in photos but GORGEOUS, with a great view and very comfortable. The kitchen is pretty tight if you're planning to do a lot of cooking but well stocked and very clean. My kids loved the bunk room downstairs and the extra living area off the main one was great, too. I would book here again for sure!

Beautiful home for MLK weekend!

We loved the house. It was clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed. We had such a good weekend together as a family. We had trouble finding the house at first because there was no sign marker. But we called for directions and were immediately helped. And it was worth it when we got there!

Beautiful home in a gorgeous setting

The house is perfect for a family get away in the winter. We used the high-end hot tub almost every night, and even saw a shooting star! Nice towels and linens were provided, along with travel sized toiletries, trash bags, dish soap, spices, basically anything you need for a stay is there. The driveway is steep but not as bad as others in the area. It’s no issue with a truck or SUV. There is a herd of deer that roams the area. We had a wonderful time!

Amazing Getaway!

We had such a great stay at Blue Aspen 1! The house was very clean and comfortable and the views were absolutely amazing! We love to cook at home and the kitchen was well stocked with supplies (pans, cutlery, appliances) and basic spices and there's a grill! We were in Angel Fire to mountain bike and the house was perfectly located for easy access to the trails. The mud room was ideal for gear storage. The Wifi and cell service were solid. We loved spending the evenings as a family on the deck watching the sunset and enjoying the fire! We can't wait to come back!

1 thermostat for downstairs and upstairs not ideal Downstairs bunks not clean Overall property is nice As a nice jesture a gift was supposed to be left for your stay, however a note was left but no gift??

Springtime Weekend Ski

Property clean and cool. There needs to be a more visible driveway number. Definitely being your 4WD. You won’t need it until you need it. 50 yards to the slopes, but the trek is all uphill. Picturesque mountain views with deer strolling along outside. I and my family would love to visit again.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay. The homeowners did have a sign at the bottom of the driveway, but the Village of AF made them remove it. House is lovely. Kitchen was not as supplied as expected…4 wine glasses, no storage containers, etc. Blankets were soiled and there were no pillow cases for extra pillows. Upstairs heat was not working but area heaters were brought to home by staff and they worked well.

Modern Respite on the mountain!

The property was beautiful and the home was amazing with great amenities. The hot tub and fireplaces were AMAZING after a day skiing. The short hike to the nearest slope wasn’t too bad, but not really easy either. House had plenty of space for our group of seven. Couple of things to note: beds and couches were not really comfy. After a day of skiing, they were pretty hard and none of us slept really well. Had an issue with the oven door - even troubleshot with the manual and internet and couldn’t get it to stay closed - had to hold it closed to cook anything. Even with all that, we would ABSOLUTELY stay here again! Communication with the property manager was easy and efficient!

Amazing weekend get away....

We came her for a quick birthday weekend get away with our 2 boys. (8 & 7). We wanted to get in before the resort opened, so the kids could enjoy the snow for the first time. The hills around the house were perfect for sledding and tubing. I can see where people have a slight complaint about it being a ski in/ ski out set up. It is about a 50 yd walk through the woods, in knee high snow, to get to the slopes. But, other than this, the house is amazing. The bedroom set up is nice to be able to have the kids down stairs and parents up stairs. Plenty of room in the mud room for getting out of your snow covered gear. The view, the view is simply breath taking. The mountains in the distance, over looking the beautiful snow covered town below.... Could not have asked for a better location for relaxing. Thank you, again.

The owner has plans to build Blue Aspen 2 closer to the slopes. The site of the home you stayed at was positioned to take advantage of the Wheeler Peak views.
