Josh was very responsive and helpful. The property is beautiful. Loud music late at night by a neighbor is our only real complaint.

Nice lakefront cabin

Overall a great experience. Was fairly quiet while we were there, however, very little privacy with no shades, blinds, or curtains on the windows. Neighbors could see directly in from their deck. Also, no sitting area in the so-called family room other than the bar chairs around the built-in bar/cabinets. The loft had plenty of little girl toys and a futon. Again, the window had no shades, blinds, or curtains so you could see directly in from the parking area. Also if you did not shut the bathroom door at all times, anyone could see directly in it from outside. Suggestions would be to put some seating in that was comfortable and some shades or blinds that could be opened or closed for more privacy, especially since neighbors can see in so easily. All appliances are top of the line and high technology throughout the cabin. Beautiful home. Lots to do on the lake and wildlife was such a pleasure to see. Construction of a new home was going on so a little noisy at times but nothing major. Great owners to work with.

Everything was exactly as advertised. Great quality property, very clean, excellent communication from Josh. Perfect for my wife and our two young kids who loved playing with the toys, campfires, and swimming off the dock. Highly recommend.

Did not want to leave

Such a beautiful cabin. Will definitely will come back again. Luckily we had great weather. We did get a workout walking up & down the steps from cabin to the pier. We fished, relaxed & enjoyed the evenings at the fire pit. Also, it was cool to see the deer every morning & evening! Josh, thanks for your help & hospitality! Wonderful getaway

Perfect way to relax for the weekend. Cabin is beautiful and perfect for two adults two kids. Kitchen was set up perfectly to make a homemade breakfast. Spent lots of time around the fire pit and on the deck down by the water.

Great house

Property was very nice! There was a lot of construction going on around the property so it was not as quite as expected. There was not a play set or water trampoline that was shown in pictures. However The house was very clean and well stocked. The house was set up with amazing WiFi and other technologies. The owners did a great job of responding quickly to questions and checking in to make sure our stay was going good. My family loved the house and all the swimming, jumping off the dock and using the water slide.

Lovely Cabin on a Beautiful Lake

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We were greeted by deer when we got there and for the rest of our stay, there was seldom a time that we didn't see 2-9 deer. The cabin was well equipt with everything we needed and was updated and comfortable. Thank you, Josh and Amy!

This is a great cabin to stay in if you have other plans in Kentucky. if you are looking for a quiet getaway, this would not be the spot. There is a LOT of building going on the lake. It is not a very private area and a lot of partying on the weekend. if you are looking for quiet, not the place but it was a great cabin, nice location and beats staying in a hotel for 3 nights.

Excellent location and getaway for our family!

The cabin was a perfect location! It was close to the Ark Encounter and a reasonable distance to the creation museum while still having he opportunity to getaway, enjoy nature, play in the lake, and relax. Kitchen was fully equipped for our cooking needs. The fire pit was a huge hit too! Would certainly stay here again and would recommend for a family!

Cabin on the Lake

We were looking for a place near the Ark Encounter and a place to fish. This was the perfect place. Approximately 10 min from the Ark. We have stayed in many cabins in the Smokey’s and other locations for aver 30 years. This cabin was very clean and technology impressive. It was perfect for the 2 of us but it is very kid friendly. Lots of wild life to see. We enjoyed watching a family of otters playing in the water. Saw geese and a dear. Of course there is a Walmart not far away! The owners even checked in to see if we needed anything. We highly recommend this cabin!

Great Stay!

Loved our stay! It was clean, the owners were friendly and helpful, and there was lots of space for the kids to play. Owners responded right away to any questions we had while there. Great deck overlooking the water. Good area and close to what we needed. Thanks for everything!

Everything was neat, clean, and useful. Fairly techy but husband is good with that; we managed well

GPS took us to the wrong place. We knew we were looking for a gate, though, so we found it at the end of the road. We never saw the property address, so arrive during daylight hours. Just an FYI....this is a cabin on what SEEMS to be a private lake....... parking is steep to get to and narrow, lighted steps lead to cabin... no wheelchair access..... We were not needing that type access but wanted to mention it in case someone needed to know. We had a nice, relaxing, and quiet time which is what we were wanting. Owner was great to work with and promptly answered what questions we had. Nice place for kids if you go in summer. .

Charming & super family friendly!

Josh & Amy we’re readily available if I had questions. The place was beautiful on the inside with all the modern amenities. We loved staying here! A heads up if you get in late- it’s a very dark long road and it’s easy to drive by the house. I’d recommend trying to get in before it gets dark out if possible. But I’d recommend this place to anyone! We loved it!

Cabin on the Lake

We came to Kentucky to visit the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum and also was looking forward to relaxing a few days in this beautiful cabin. It was down a very quiet road on the lake and that was exactly what we needed. We enjoyed watching the deer around the cabin and across the lake on the hills. The cabin was cozy, very clean and had everything we needed for our visit. The owner was very nice and helpful with questions about the cabin and area. I will definitely visit this area again and would love to stay at Cabin by the Lake.
