Fanasic family vacation

Shangri-La was fantastic! The perfect spot for our family vacation. There were 8 adults and 5 young kids - plenty of room for everyone. The main house had 2 king bedrooms and 2 baths and a huge living space with plenty of room for everyone to hang out and relax. Kitchen was unbelievably well equipped; there were a lot of both indoor and outdoor dining spaces. 2 separate “cabanas” at the poolside of the main house, sharing the beautiful wrap-around porch, each had 2 bedrooms, a bath and smaller living area - perfect for parents and kids. The house was right on the beach - the essentially private beach was magnificent and the big pool was enjoyed by all. There was a great area under the house with showers, a second laundry (one in the main house as well), pool and ping—pong table, hammocks, places to play in the sand for the kids. Plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, pool floats, boogie boards. Everything we needed for our stay was provided. The owners stopped by at a check-in to make sure we had everything we needed and answer any questions. The VRBO listing didn’t do this property justice- would definitely stay here again.

This was the most amazing house, let alone, VRBO I’ve ever been to! Our family immensely enjoyed a week together playing on the beach, in the fabulous pool, playing games, and cooking meals together. The house was stocked with absolutely everything we needed and more. The layout of the house provided space for all of to have our own individual time and great time together. Nick was the best to communicate with, and he responded quickly and efficiently if we needed anything. We would love to come back and stay here again someday! Wow!

Relaxing Magical Vacation

This is our second stay here at the wonderful place . We are a multi- generational clan of 12-14 .My grand children were over the moon to be returning to Shangri La. The home has everything you can think of- pingpong, pool table. Corn hole, beach umbrellas & mats, boogie & surf boards. Just the best . We love it here!!!

Shangri La Delivers!

Beautiful pool and wonderful beach access. Property is rustic, but very cool. The two cabanas were ideal for our family. Most importantly the owner and his son were super responsive, accommodating and just plain old nice people. Highly recommend!!

Lots of fun in Vero Beach!

My extended family (10) had a great stay at this roomy and private oceanfront house in Vero Beach. Two bedrooms in house, 2 separate pods with 2 bedrooms and a bath off the deck. Lots of room for our 4 families. Pool!! Gorgeous pool with all the fun stuffKitchen: Filled with everything we needed for big meals.Chris and Nick: Wonderful!! So helpful and communicative. Beach: Fantastic, lots of toys provided.Only complaint, could use a fresh coat of paint and a more thorough cleaning of floors, rugs and furniture.

Close to beach cottage

You can't get closer to the beach than with this cottage. It's quiet, private, and steps from the water. It is well stocked with kitchen essentials, extra sunscreen, and lots of toys/surfboards for the kids. Chairs and umbrellas came in handy for us, along with the large number of beach towels. If the house was mine, I'd refresh the paint, update the furniture, and switch to central HVAC instead of the mini-splits. Regardless, the house suited us well and we all enjoyed spending thanksgiving at the beach. I'd recommend to friends/family to stay here.

Perfect for every age

Shangri-La is the most well outfitted vrbo that we have ever stayed at. The beach with chairs, plenty of beach towels, beach toys, downstairs showers, pool table and ping pong, the fabulous pool - nothing was missing. The owner has thought of everything. Just be aware that you are pretty south of central Vero Beach . We had 10 people of 3 generations. It was perfect for everyone. Beds, bathrooms, kitchen and seating areas were so comfortable. Beds were so comfy when we got home my daughter decided she needed a new mattress, and I decided I needed new towels. I was sad to leave. I hope we get a chance to return.

Tropical paradise

Island vibe in upscale Vero. Felt like we were on an island with wrap-around porch steps from beach. Very livable kitchen, tons of beach towels and toys including surf boards and great host. Highly recommend for families as the overall layout allows for some separation but with great communal space in main house.

Great family gathering for my 70th

We had a great stay with a beautiful almost private beach in front and a large pool in the back. More beach and pool toys as well as towels than you’ll ever need. 4 bedrooms and baths. Outside showers. Spacious dining and living space as well as a deck around the entire house. It was fantastic!!

Family Vacation

We had 3 Families stay. The house and 2 cabanas were wonderful. Each family with children had their own spaces, it was wonderful. I have never stayed at a VRBO house that was so well stocked. There was nothing that we needed that wasn't there. There were plenty of dishes so even with 12 people we didn't have to wash dishes after a meal in order to eat another. The pool was as big as it seemed in the pictures. The different levels in the cutout made it perfect for the 2 and 4 year olds. We were lucky enough to see Sea Turtles making nests and laying eggs, AMAZING. The only disappointment was that you can't really see the ocean from the house. The sand dune blocks it but it is a short walk to get there. All in all, a 5 star rating is well deserved.

The proximity to the beach was fantastic. It was the first time I heard waves crashing for 4 days straight. The most praise from our group was focused on the amount of seating areas. In any direction, there was an inviting place to settle into a convo with a view.

Beach Front Cottage

The house is very much just a cool beachy cottage. The pool is fabulous though and the stretch of beach that it is on is one of the best in Vero. It is extremely well equipped with beach toys, towels and cooking supplies.

Great house. Two bedrooms in main section and 2 complete units with a total of 4bunks/ bed that sleep 6 plus bathroom and living area with tv. Encluded beach chairs, towels, surf boards and a multitude of floats and toys for the fantastic pool. Great bath linens, separate ice maker etc.

Great place! Very secure and safe outdoors for toddler. Pool enclosed, wrap around porch enclosed. Perfect set up for us. We have 2 adult children with grand kids that stayed in 2 pods, and one single son stayed with us in main house. Gorgeous wall of window ocean view. Thanks for a great week of memories!

Sunny Beach

We found the property to be so charming. Loved the old time Florida Vib. The house lay out with the two separate pods worked great for our family as we had two family members with children, so everyone had their own space. Kitchen was well equipped, and we enjoyed our family time preparing meals there. Beach was close and very private. Pool area was wonderful too. Little problem with the no-seeums so you might want to warn folks to bring insect spray solutions. Overall, this property is a 5 all the way.

Shangri-La Resort is owned and managed by the Dudek Family, who are based right here on the island in beautiful Vero Beach. Chris and Jessica are exceptional hosts who love the beach life and are available 24/7 to take care of your every need. You may even bump into their wonderful kids Christian, Nick or Cali, who often help out when they are in town. Mitch, a Chinese folk arts museum owner who has lived and worked in China for over 40 years, contributed the fabulous Chinese antiques and stunning artwork which make the Shangri-La Resort rustic old-Florida east-meets-west oriental beach style so charming. Don't worry, the house is entirely kid and dog friendly!

We regularly stay at Shangri-La Resort on holidays and whenever Mitch is in town, so naturally we do all that we can to make sure that the house is well stocked with the essentials and in good order at all times. We hope that you enjoy it as much as we do!
