Great spot to enjoy the beachfront, literally out front of the building. Parking is safe and the neighborhood is lively. The place is clean and well maintained. Very much enjoyed our stay!

This was our first time staying at a VRBO as opposed to a hotel, and it did not disappoint! We loved being right on the beach and in walking distance to several restaurants. Frances was a great host, and helped us very quickly with the small issue we had with our parking spot in the garage. The parking spot in the complex was also a huge plus to this location, knowing the challenges of parking in PB sometimes. The space was cute and beachy, exactly what we wanted for our winter vacation. We enjoyed the hot tub and heated pool too. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again next time we visit!

Loved how close the condo was to the beach. It was my favorite part. It was fun watching the surfers. It was nice to have the beach chairs & umbrella to use. We also enjoyed the walking/ riding path in front of the unit & visited the shops along the way. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance. It was handy to have the parking place in the garage, since so many parking areas need to be paid for. The parking garage is more suited for shorter vehicles, so we had to trade a larger SUV vehicle to fit inside the garage.Glad I brought my eye mask as the light outside the bedroom window was on all night. Even though you can’t see the ocean from the unit, you can still hear the ocean waves, which I love. The kitchen was well-stocked, including charcoal briquettes. The owner was helpful & responded quickly. We enjoyed our stay.

Overall this place met my needs! Pros and Cons listed here: Pros: You are right by Pacific Beach (you don’t have to walk blocks to it), the decor was great, lots of shops, and restaurants to choose from as well as some grocery stores (I won’t bother renting a car next time), having a parking space in the parking garage below the building was nice, and the place did not get too hot at night (I didn’t have to run the window a/c unit). Cons for people who may be high maintenance: no beach view out the window of the unit, it faces the pool and the complex next door (if you care about that, which I didn’t), had to pay for laundry (3 in quarters or credit card, which wasn’t too bad), and no washcloths (if you use them, I was able to manage). The only cons for me were the bedroom pillows were not firm/supportive, the people in the unit above me were constantly scraping chairs and loudly stomping around, and I came during spring break season (people were up late at the complex next door talking loudly all night pretty much). Overall, I liked this place and would stay again but will need to pick a different time of year to avoid the rowdy spring breakers.

The host was very responsive, Frances makes you feel welcomed before and during the visit. She’s great.Boardwalk and ocean are very close, along with restaurants and I walked to the grocery store. Didn’t need the car. Kitchen and table were what I wanted. Apt had plenty of room for 2. Bonus was the extra bathroom sink. It is not fancy, it’s like staying with a friend, but it had the things we wanted, was comfortable, and was in a great location. And Frances really is a bonus. Loved the access to the beach to go back and forth, the hot water tub was relaxing, and laundry was fine with many machines (it’s a room downstairs).

Great option in Pacific beach

Clean, well appointed unit in great location. There is no beach view from the unit, unit is remodeled but in an older building, I believe these items are fairly reflected in the pricing for the unit. Owner was great with communication especially with respect to parking issues (the gate was having some trouble and Frances insured we would have parking the entire time). Location is just on the edge of the hubbub of Pacific Beach, quiet enough but walking distance to the people watching, restaurants and bars. Would stay again.

Quick Trip to San Diego

Pacific Beach is a great area to stay in within greater San Diego. We were there for a graduation at UCSD and it was a wonderful location that was close enough to the school for ease but we were still able to explore other areas of San Diego. Frances was a great and communicative host who had a lovely home. There was plenty of room for me and my mom and the location is unbeatable.

Beach Vibe

Lively beach scene. Lots of people, dogs, surfers, bikers, skate boarders, young crowd generally. Unit was well situated to enjoy restaurants and the beach. The unit itself was dark, dated and cluttered.

Hi Sandra, Thanks for booking your stay and the feedback. The unit itself has lots of lighting and extra lamps and ceiling fans with lights that provide for added light. If you open the blinds during the day you’ll find we receive quite a bit of California sunshine into the unit. The unit itself is pretty spacious and ample. We even provided you with lawn chairs, boogie boards stored neatly in a corner. Best of luck to you in your future stays.

Lovely and quiet

While I was initially disappointed that this property didn't have an ocean view, it was a great rental and very quiet. It was very close to my favorite Mexican seafood restaurant and other restaurants as well. Very easy check in and I really liked having a secure garage and an elevator. The kitchen was adequately supplied, and the furnishings were comfortable. I will be back!

This unit and property did not meet our expectations, so we had to leave without staying. The listing made it seem more elevated than it was- it would be fine at a lower price point.The host is extremely communicative and responsive. She will answer all your questions promptly. The check in was smooth and the instructions to parking and unit were perfect. The location can’t be beat! Right on the beach! The complex and unit definitely feel their age.The furniture is used and is worn out with loose covers on top. The kitchen cupboards do not have handles so the doors were sticky. There is old food and spices in the cupboards. The bathtub is stained with a rubber cover on top.The futon does not sleep two. We were offered an air mattress, but this is not what we paid for.There is no private balcony, just a shared, motel style balcony overlooking the pool.Overall, we were pretty disappointed.

Thank you for your feedback. Our listing is as advertised with photos online, and as our many positive reviews show, we haven’t had issues before. This is our personal second home we share so others can also enjoy the beach, not a luxury hotel, but we always strive for five-star quality. The guest was not responsive to our attempts to address concerns upon check-in. The futon has a memory foam topper and does in fact sleep up to 2 people comfortably, the air mattress is a free extra option, and there’s also a brand-new double-size recliner in the living room. Our kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, utensils, and spices, something past guests have especially appreciated since it saves them from spending extra, plus we provide coffee, creamer in the refrigerator, and purified water. The bathtub is currently being refinished; it had minor rust from the beach environment, but our housekeeper follows strict COVID-era cleaning protocols to ensure safety and hygiene. For a fully furnished beachfront 1-bedroom, our rates beat many listings blocks from the water, as well as nearby hotels and motels.

Week at the Beach

The property is conveniently located right on the boardwalk of the ocean. Easy access to many attractions, restaurants and places to go. Easy in and out access and a place to park your rental. It doesn't have direct view of the ocean, but it is just steps away. The unit was very clean and had many amenities like kitchen and bath supplies so you don't have to buy them on your own ahead of time. The owners are very responsive and answered all questions we had. It was easy to get in and get going right from the start. We felt very at home there and would recommend staying there if you want the beach life experience. Pricing was reasonable and we felt that we received value for our money.

Stayed here for one week, and enjoyed it. Below are some of the Good & Bad in my opinion. Good: Location, size, communication, instructions, amenities such as Parking Bad: Older apt & apt complex, lack of natural lights due to lack of windows, and if you open up the curtains in the living room, everyone can see in to the apartment Overall, I had a good stay and no issues. Probably would not stay here again, mainly due to lack of lights but have nothing bad to say. So if your plan is not to spend too much time at the apartment (e.g. working from there like I did), its good.

Very nice and clean place. Location perfect, not nearly as noisy as some of the other places on the boardwalk. Walking distance to everything you can imagine. Would definitely stay again.

The condo complex is located perfectly directly in front of the ocean and boardwalk. It is a perfect beach getaway for a couple or a small family vacation in San Diego. Take a walk along the boardwalk or stroll down the white sandy beach located directly outside the main building.

This open and modern one bedroom and one full bath beachfront condominium is beautifully decorated to give you the feel of a beach resort. Our unit faces the community pool with a slight view of the ocean from the bedroom. Open floor plan, very spacious with lots of sunshine and views of the pool from the living room, ocean views and beach waves sounds from the bedroom. Window AC cooling unit which provides cooling throughout the unit with the added use of the ceiling and portable fans. Just open the window and listen to the waves, the surf and enjoy the cool ocean breeze throughout the home.

Complex is located directly in front of the ocean & boardwalk. It doesn't get any closer than this. Very private and quiet located on the second floor. We love waking up in the morning to the sounds of the waves from the ocean drifting in through the bedroom window.
