I fell in love with this area the moment I first visited. There's something magical about Praia da Rocha: the golden cliffs glowing at sunset, the endless stretch of soft sand and the crystal-clear blue waters of the Atlantic just moments from your door.
What I enjoy most is the atmosphere. It's lively without being overwhelming. You can start your morning with a coffee at a beachside café, spend the afternoon swimming or walking along the clifftop paths and end the day watching one of the most beautiful sunsets in the Algarve.
This is also a fantastic base for exploring the rest of the region. The famous Benagil caves and stunning grottoes along the coast are just a boat trip away, and charming towns like Alvor, Carvoeiro and Lagos are a short drive from the apartment. For sports lovers there's so much to enjoy: cycling and bike races through the beautiful Algarve countryside, water sports, kayaking along the coastline, hiking trails and some of the best golf courses in Europe. Portimão is even home to the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, which hosts world-class motorsport events.
