This well located modern house has beautiful sea views, set back 100 metres from the ocean and a short walk to the village of Luz and its sandy beach. It offers the perfect range of accommodation for groups and families - ideal for celebrations such as birthdays and anniversaries. The village has a range of fine restaurants and all local amenities. Nearby are 3 excellent golf courses. This spacious house has a well equipped kitchen, a large open plan living and dining room with air conditioning/central heating throughout. The house has its own private pool (heating available on request and at an extra charge), upper and lower terraces both with stunning views over the ocean and the village. There are six bedrooms, two twin-bedded and four doubles [five en-suite]. There is a further shower room on the upper floor. The private pool is surrounded by a spacious terrace, equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas as well as the palm trees which offer shade on a hot day. There is a stone barbecue for use by guests with outdoor tables and chairs to allow for dining al-fresco. The rear courtyard has space to dry your clothes. An outdoor table-tennis table is available, which can be used on either the front or rear terraces. The house offers ideal all year round accommodation for 2,3, even 4 families or larger parties. It can accommodate 12 adults and there are 2 cribs for babies.


Golf: The Algarve is world renowned for its excellent Golf Courses. There are three superb courses close to the house. The well known course of Boavista is just 2 kilometres away.

Sea Sports: There are many opportunities in the local area to take part in most sea sports, including windsurfing, sailing, fishing, surfing, water skiing, paragliding, to mention just a few.

Coastal Walks: The house is situated just 200 metres from the coastal path between Luz and Burgau and affords wonderful opportunities for walkers. A short distance inland you can join countryside nature trails and safaris.

Happy Holiday in lovely Praia da Luz

Wonderful holiday in a lovely location. Really nice property with super swimming pool, plenty of room for large family group, close to the town and sea, beautiful views. We would happily return.

Wonderful house and location

We were three generations on a long planned vacation. The house was clean and very spacious, with comfortable bedrooms and plentiful bathrooms. We all particularly enjoyed the pool, barbecue and the location; quiet but readily accessible for the beach and local amenities I would highly recommend this vacation home. John responded very quickly to queries and is an excellent host.

Amazing property and location

Had a fantastic stay. We were a large group with a wide range of ages and it suited perfectly. Pool lovely and bedrooms nicer than the photos even show. Plenty of space for dining and a reasonably stocked kitchen. Lots of parking available. An easy walk to restaurants and pubs and swimming off the rocks nearby. All in all a fabulous place to stay.

Lovely lovely house

We had our family get together at John’s house and we absolutely loved his spacious, well organized and beautiful house. The location is amazing, the pool is pristine and we all had an amazing vacation there. John is a wonderful host and we’d absolutely recommend him!

Great comfortable villa

Lovely spot near Vila Luz - great pool which was a lovely temperature. Villa was clean and well equipped. Despite the heat we were all very comfortable- from 16m to 70y! Praia da Luz is a short walk with friendly restaurants and bars and overall a great spot to relax.

Family holiday

Stayed at the villa with children and grandchildren. Great sea views from the top floor living area. It was perfect for us and the children loved the pool. Leisurely 15min walk to the beach and town. Easy to get the bus to Lagos. Owners Sue and John welcoming and very helpful

Excellent All-around

An extremely comfortable stay! All 15 members of my group enjoyed spending a week here. Great location, house is really spacious, has a great layout, having a dishwasher and clothes washing machine were a plus, and having a pool was a plus for the moments when one didn’t want to go to the beach. All bedrooms but one have what I consider to be an en suite or adjacent bathroom — it’s just that only two bathrooms have a tub-shower combo rather than just a standing shower. Would definitely recommend this place for large groups!

Wonderful vacation in Luz, July 2017

We had a fantastic week in Casa Vista Oceana where we were celebrating my 70th birthday. We were 7 adults and 6 Children who all enjoyed the lovely house. Plenty of rooms for all and both the children and the adults loved the pool with the remarkable view over the Atlantic Ocean. There were plenty of space for us all at the dining table, both inside and outside. We had all our meals at the top terrace table where we could enjoy the marvellous view. We can really recommend this lovely house for large famalies and friends! Thank you John and Sue!

Happy 60th and 30th!

What a week! We were a large group of 14 plus 2 small children, from 3 different areas of UK and USA! The villa was perfect, ample room for all of us. All the facilities and equipment we could need. Spotlessly clean. Pool was cold but a great refresher from the heat! Walking distance (20mins) to beach and a number of restaurants but uber also on hand for those less able. Great help and communication from owner and agent before and throughout the stay- thank you! We would highly recommend this villa!!

Perfect family getaway

We enjoyed a lovely week in John’s house. It is perfectly positioned for easy access into Luz and the beach, while being in a quiet and peaceful spot. Having the aparthotel next door was also handy for coffees and drinks without walking far. The house is even better than it looks on the website - very spacious and with everything you need for your stay. We had lots of fun in the pool. We ate out several times in Luz and had good experiences. Some of our party wanted to surf and the drive to some excellent West coast beaches was only about 24/30 minutes away. A great holiday and we will certainly be planning a return trip to this lovely part of the world. Communication with John both before and during our stay was easy and efficient. Thank you!

Perfect vacation for group

We had a wonderful stay. The location is perfect with walking/running/biking trails on one side and the village leading to the beach in the other, as well as beautiful ocean views. We had no issues with anything. John made it clear he was available if we needed anything but everything was perfect. We were a group of 18 and had plenty of space to spread out. The ping pong table was a nice bonus and we thoroughly enjoyed the pool. The village has great restaurants, bars, and groceries all walking distance. If we wanted more, Lagos was a quick drive away. Our only complaint was not enough containers to store leftovers, so minor! and we managed just fine. We easily rented bikes and also had a chef come to the house to cook for us one night (hence the leftovers). Perfect base for a great vacation!!

An absolute delight!

We had a big reunion here with four families including 7 adults and four children and this rental was perfect. The rental was spotless, spacious, comfortable, and attractively decorated. The location was as promised: a very easy and pleasant walk in to Luz where there are delicious restaurants and grocery stores as well as the beach. The house is pretty much on a coastal path that you can use to walk over to the next village and that was splendid, all of which is to say there's plenty to do. Everything in the rental was true to the photos: very nicely decorated, nothing was broken, everything was just easy and perfect. The dishwasher and laundry machine worked well, plenty of towels, it was quiet at night and the beds were comfortable. When we had a request for the owner he showed up within five minutes and obliged us by turning up the temperature on the pool. I've stayed in a lot of rentals and this was my favorite for the overall high quality and helpfulness of the owner. Thanks so much for helping to make our reunion so special - we were celebrating 15 years of friendship and this trip meant a lot to all of us and I can't imaging a better setting!

Ein sehr schöner Haus, traumhaftes Wetter, alles was man braucht.

Wir waren mit 13 Personen Ende Juli in dem Haus und alle haben sich wohl gefühlt. Die Lage ist sehr schön und der Ausblick aufs Meer tut gut. Der Pool war auch ohne Heizung angenehm zum Schwimmen. Tagsüber bis 30 Grad und darüber und abends und nachts angenehm kühl. Die Klimaanlage brauchten wir nicht. Schöne Strände in der Nähe. Das Meer in Luz war viel kälter als in Lagos. Gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und im Vergleich zu anderen Ländern ist Portugal preisgünstig.

Perfektes Haus

Wir waren mit zwei Familien für 10 Tage in dem Haus und waren begeistert. Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter war sehr unkompliziert und außerordentlich freundlich. Das Haus ist geräumig. So konnten wir mit weiteren Freunden zusammen grillen und den Pool genießen. Dass der Pool beheizt ist, ist ein großer Vorteil im Herbst. Man kann vom Haus aus direkt an den Strand laufen, wobei das schon ungefähr 10 Minuten Fußweg sind. Das Meer sieht man aber vom Haus aus. Direkt hinter dem Haus ist ein Aparthotel, in dem man unkompliziert Billard spielen oder einen Drink nehmen kann. Auch die Tischtennisplatte im Haus ist prima. Alles war sehr sauber und geräumig. Insbesondere in der Küche und im Wohn- und Essbereich hat man viel Platz. In den Zimmern ist überall viel Raum in Schränken vorhanden. Da die Gegend ausgesprochen schön ist, ist ein Auto sinnvoll, auch zum Einkaufen. Villa de rêve

Nous avons séjourner dans cette villa du 6 au 13 juillet et ce fût le coup de foudre total. La villa est encore mieux que nos attentes et mieux que sur les photos. Les lits sont confortable, les salle de bain sont propre. La piscine est parfaite avec plusieurs chaise longue. La communication avec John était sans faille. Je recommande sans hésiter

Vacaciones ideales

Muy buen lugar. Cuartos comodos, muchos baños, cocina equipada. Pro: faltaba la parrilla en la barbacoa y el dueño proveyo una nueva en 2 dias. Contra: sillones del salon se les cae el tapizado y les han puesto inas mantas, pero se ven HORRIBLES asi. Dan mala impresion y ensucian el suelo. Fallaron 3 aires acondicionados y no se arreglaron durante la estancia, aunque dijeron q tratarian.

Una casa amplia y cómoda con todos los servicios

Ubicado perfectamente, la casa limpia con una buenísima distribución con baño prácticamente por habitación, zonas comunes amplias y unas vistas increíbles. Zona tranquila y muy muy recomendable para ir como nosotros 3 familiar con hijos

Family holiday

We had a fantastic week's holiday at the villa. 8 adults 5 children in a large group from grandparents to grandchildren. The villa was beautiful and had everything you could possibly need. I would certainly recommend it.

Great family holiday

An excellent large property with its own private large pool set in lovely surroundings with a lovely view of the sea. 5 of the 7 spacious bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, and 6 are air-conditioned. The house is family friendly within walking distance to the beach, restaurants and most amenities. The owners were very friendly and accommodating and easily contactable for the duration of our stay. As we didn’t all have cars we took the bus into Lagos from Praia da Luz on a couple of occasions. A thoroughly enjoyable week was had by all 15 of our family so we would definitely recommend it for large groups.

Family Holiday

Fantastic property in an Ideal location. The kids and adults alike enjoyed the fantastic pool. The house is extremely well equipped also.

The house is family owned. We have been holidaying in Portugal for over thirty years along with our four children, their partners and now our four grandchildren as well asfriends. After renting for many years we took the plunge and the house was purchased in 2005 and we haven't looked back! Portugal and more specifically Luz, has offered us a welcome break from our busy working lives. The children have also enjoyed the area having 'grown up' from toddlers into adults who now holiday there several times a year.

This property offers fantastic ocean views in a quiet and yet convenient location on the edge of the village of Praia da Luz. It offers excellent and spacious accommodation for people who wish to get away from it all with a larger family group or friends. The house is large enough to give everyone their own space, while at the same time having spacious indoor and outdoor areas for people to be together. Luz itself is delightful all year round, offering something for everyone. There are quiet coastal walks nearby, fantastic beaches with a wide range of water sports, picturesque villages and towns either a walk or short drive away, various sporting opportunities and most of all beautiful year round sunshine!
