We will be back

We truly enjoyed the home, the beds were very comfortable and everything worked great. We were able to cook comfortably and enjoyed the pool and hot tub. If you have kids keep an eye on them so they don’t slip and fall by the pool. Otherwise it’s a perfect paradise.

Fantastic beach access

We had a great vacation. The cleanliness of the property and the cleaning crew certainly leaves much to be desired but the location is wonderful. House shows wear and tear from being a rental but is generally well appointed. More comfortable/less cheap furniture both inside and out as well as included cleaning, heating the pool, gym access etc. would be nice at this high of a price point. The access to beach and beach club were amazing.

Amazing House on Mauna Lani golf course

From the moment you pull through the private gate you know you’re about to experience something special. With the glass sliding doors that open up the whole back of the house with screens that move in their place…the outside breeze and fresh ocean air was all we needed. The pool was great…hot tub fired right up…the beds were awesome too. Zero complaints here. Wish we had stayed another week there after our first week was up!The only bad experience we had was that they aerated and overseeded the golf course the day after we got there but there are multiple courses nearby.The host, Laurie, was a rockstar at coordinating and communicating with us with anything we needed too. 10/10 would stay here again!

Outstanding experience

This house was everything we hoped. I plan to be back next summer with my family! I needed a place to just unwind for a week and this place was just the ticket. The house had everything we needed to cook some lovely meals at home and the concierge made it easy to get out and enjoy the Big Island. The setting is lovely, too. We loved watching the sun set over the golf course and spent hours lounging by the pool. We also took full advantage of the access to the beach club. The beach was perfect for our small children to wade in and do some snorkeling while we had drinks and food brought down from the club. The house itself is immaculate. It's brand new. The fixtures and appliances are top of the line, the beds are luxurious and the bathrooms are very well done. Can't wait to come back!

Beautiful and perfectly situated Big Island home

This Mauna Lani home is beautiful and was perfect for our family of 5 and our week-long stay. The house is brand new, very spacious and incredibly well appointed. Hands down a better value and better solution for a family versus hotel rooms. The pool and hot-tub were superb and the views are gorgeous. The included golf cart provided fun and easy access to the nearby private Mauna Lani beach club (available to guests of the property) and the local Shops. The outdoor living area was perfect, including a great barbecue with dining table and outdoor TV. The inside of the house is very well planned out with one large bedroom downstairs and three large bedrooms upstairs (all with beautiful en-suite bathrooms), and a fully equipped laundry room to take care of all the beach towels and swim wear. The upstairs deck (connecting to the two master suites) with lounge area was one of our favorite spots to watch the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The gourmet kitchen with top of the line appliances was very nice as well and flowed into the open air family room with whole wall sliding pocket doors to enjoy the tropical breeze and views. The property is also perfectly situated between Kona and Waimea for easy access to both locations for planned excursions and outdoor adventures. When we come back to the Big Island we will definitely look to stay here again.

In spite of the torrential rains at the start of the trip the whole experience was magical. Fantastic house and location with all the amenities available. The property manager Laurie was very helpful and the experience was better than advertised. Thank you for making my 60th birthday such a beautiful experience.

Quiet retreat with lovely amenities

We rented this house as an extended family - three different generations, and it met our expectations. The house is well-appointed and the property concierge/contact was responsive to a couple of minor maintenance issues that we had. The pool and hot tub and patio were perfect for hanging out as a group. The beach club is a short drive (car or golf cart) away. We didn't get a chance to try the restaurant, but the beach itself was clean and my husband loved the snorkeling right off the shore. My one complaint about the Mauna Lani area in general has nothing to do with the house - there aren't many shopping or restaurant opportunities nearby. Some of it is Covid-related and businesses haven't survived the pandemic, and some of it is the secluded nature of the properties themselves. If you're looking for quiet seclusion and relaxation, this is a fantastic place. If you expect lots of restaurant options and urban conveniences, then you will need to drive into Kona proper to get those.

good but overpriced

Over all a nice house in a good location, but overpriced for the finishes it has. It is nice, but missing some luxuries to be able to charge so much. For example, no vaulted great, no garden shower. -1 star for that. Also there is no desk or computer chair, making working on a computer uncomfortable. Then, despite the high price, they wanted 50/day more to use the golf cart and 25/day to use the gym. That is just rude, another -1 star. They allowed our pup to stay, which is a huge plus as it is very hard to find accommodations in Hawaii with a dog (despite our dog being well behaved and super cute). That was worth the price for us, but just barely. The house could have been a little cleaner, specifically the couch cover in the living area. The sink in the downstairs did not drain water properly. We used only the downstairs (master is upstairs), since the upstairs AC didn't work. They provided mobile units, but we didn't bother setting that up and I'm not sure it would work well with a sliding door. We were told a month ahead of time it was not working, so it wasn't a surprise, but that does seem like enough time to fix it. For what they charge, everything should be working, no excuses. The ground floor AC stopped working during our stay, making for an uncomfortable day. We understand that sort of thing happens and it was fixed quickly, so kudos for that. Overall we had a nice stay, but we'd chose a different house to stay on our next trip to Mauna Lani. It's not about being cheap, it's just the value isn't there. We stayed at One Ocean the weeks prior to this stay and for half the price we more amenities, without any additional charges for extras.

Luxury property in a premium location

Leading up to the vacation the booking experience was nothing short of total professionalism. Communication was prompt, clear and always helpful. Checking in was seamless. The property itself was spectacular. The fixtures and fittings were top shelf, the layout was beautifully appointed and so spacious; we (6 adults and 2 infants across 3 generations) always had ample room to spread out and relax. The yard is such an amazing space to relax and swim, morning, noon or night. Finally the community amenities - golf, beaches and restaurants are a short golf cart (highly recommend this option) ride away. I can’t recommend this property enough. Needless to say, discussions were immediately had about making this an annual destination.

Perfect Mauna Lani house!

Beautiful house in a central location to wonderful restaurants and food stores. The house is lovely and nicely appointed. The beds are by far the most comfortable of any 5 star hotel or house we stayed in worldwide!!! Grounds are immaculate. Ocean and golf course views are spectacular. Highly recommend.

Great location

We loved the house and the easy access to the Mauna Lani beach club. We rented the golf cart (it may seem that it is included in the rental from the pictures, but it is an extra cost) and that was a nice addition. The company did try to charge us a daily fee to heat the jacuzzi but then said that fee was a mistake and did not charge us when I inquired.

All the comforts of home

We enjoyed an amazing vacation with all of our needs met at this home. The kitchen is fully equipped for entertaining and the beds, sheets and towels are all comfortable. It is a must to heat the pool and have access to the golf cart to enjoy going to the beach and to the little grocer/mall. Our only request would be an introduction to all the lights, air conditioning and pool heater so we knew how to take advantage of all of the amenities. We will definitely be back!

Great family vacation at this beautiful new Mauna Lani property

We had a wonderful vacation and this beautiful property conveniently located within the Mauna Lani Resort. The house was beautifully appointed with all of the amenities we wanted. Very convenient to golfing and beach access. The golf cart was convenient for getting around the development. The management company was a pleasure to work with. We would highly recommend this property.

Fantastic House on Big Island

Amazing home stocked with everything you need. Pool and spa are great (we paid to heat spa - best money we spent). We rented a golf cart too. Didn't use it as much as we expected. Little trouble getting in but that was our own doing as there was an email sent with the access codes which we didn't see.

Highly recommended golf & beach retreat

My family really enjoyed our time in this house. It's in a great location, with lots of activities accessible. The beach club is super close and made getting the kids to the beach really easy. I love to golf and we were right on an amazing course, which I really enjoyed playing. My wife really appreciated the house, itself. The appliances are all brand new and the bathrooms and bedrooms are beautiful. The house is in the perfect spot to sit by the pool and watch the sunset. The owners and concierge were also really helpful and took great care of us. We had a blast and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to others.

Light, airy, high-end house in Mauna Lani

This house made our stay in Hawaii exceptional. My husband and I traveled with another couple. We had a lot of room for four adults and two kids. The house has high- end finishes and furniture, is airy, and light. We cooked dinner in the kitchen a couple of nights and had a lot of room to spread out and enjoy spending time together without getting into each other's way. Noah and Lindsay helped us arrange a helicopter tour. It made us to fall in love with the Big Island and the house even more.
