In the foothills of the Pyrenees, our secluded, beautiful and tranquil domaine, Domaine de la Vène, is perfectly positioned for you and your guests to create memories that will stay with you for a lifetime.



Tastefully decorated with an elegant collection of Georgian, Victorian, and French antique furniture that have been collected over the years, this country house is replete with unique touches throughout its spacious rooms.



The Space:

During your stay, you will have full use of eight beautifully appointed bedrooms that vary from large suites to more intimate bedrooms, seven beautiful bathrooms, a large family dining room, two spacious drawing rooms – each with ample seating and a fireplace – as well as two fully-equipped kitchens, including a professional French Château Cornue cooker, a large stone fireplace that doubles as a barbecue, and a long table seating sixteen.



There is also our adjoining charming cottage – a traditional French Bérgerie – that can accommodate a further six guests across three bedrooms. In addition to a fully-equipped kitchen, a stunning bathroom that has been designed and adorned in a traditional Moroccan style, and a bright sitting room with a view onto the lake and forest, the Bérgerie Cottage also features a courtyard with a separate dining area and barbecue that offers privacy from the main house and is the perfect spot for breakfast in the sun.



Guest Access:

You will have exclusive use of the domaine, pool and gardens.



The Neighborhood:

When the sun rises at dawn, revealing rolling hills and forest as far as the eye can see, you could be forgiven for thinking that civilisation is a million miles away. Yet, with the medieval city of Carcassonne so close by, offering vibrant summer festivals, sight-seeing, wine tasting, and great dining, and with the option of day trips to fine beaches and even the Pyrenees, the house is the perfect base to explore this culturally rich region.



Getting Around:

Our location is remote, so we highly recommend to guests that they have a car for their stay.



Interaction with Guests:

We will meet you for check in, and the owners are available to help if needed, but otherwise the house and gardens are yours to enjoy!
