Clean condo, great beds, but.....

This 2 bedroom is an ok place to stay, but in need of a few improvements ... beds are very comfortable, but rest of furniture less than ideal. The high table with bar stools were not great for my 72 yr old mom staying here as well as the tiny red couches in the living room were too tiny for anyone to sit on comfortably. An upgrade in furniture would make this a much nicer rental ! Great views from every balcony but not a front facing beach and pool view, just small section of ocean view between tower 1 and 2. This condo does not run the width of the building like most of the 2 bedrooms at Grand Venetian that we have rented in the past. I must say the condo manager and owners were readily available and communication by email or phone was great any time we had questions !

Yes… and no

This was our 4th PV vacation, all different locations. The apartment was clean, Joshua, the apartment manager, and his gang were terrific, I loved being able to get a taxi right outside the front, security is very VERY good. The pools were clean and warm. The beach is right in front. Le Comer, the best grocery store in PV, is a very short ride away. Good restaurants are a walk away. And THE ART WORK in the apartment is beyond words, especially the fish painting in the master. But.. there are a couple of things and one big thing: the bedding should be updated, especially the pillows. The balcony is small and off the master (breakfast yes, dinner no). I am short and had to get a stool to reach the glasses and coffee cups. Now here’s the big thing: it’s noisy out there. Several clubs and a carnival that have pounding music and loudspeakers. Can happen day and night. If you are people who stay up late, you might be ok. If you like to have the door open to hear the waves to go to sleep (or occasionally take an afternoon nap) at 10 or 11pm, you will have a problem. I wish this wasn’t so. This is a great place with one big problem.

Yes and Yes! Thanks for your review Barbara. We just completed some renovations this week to address your big comments in the unit. First the kitchen table and chair heights has been reduced/shorteded both by 5 inches (13cm). Additionally we have installed NEW kitchen cabinets. And we always have 2 types of pillows, but new pillows, linens, and mattress covers... Noise is a challenge in a resort community like Puerto Vallarta and really follows the high and low season. The entire Grand Venetian community is dealing with noise as PVR explodes in popularity and is now in the top 5 places to retire amoungst North Americans.... We always have a fresh supply of earplugs, as probabily know. Thanks again for kind and thoughful review :)

Fantastic 5 star property and owners

We normally stay in a condominium for several months during the winter and this is the fourth condominium we have stayed in in Puerto Vallarta, it is clearly the best of all of them and the owners were perfect to deal with. Because of a previous review that was negative, this review will be relatively long. In our list of priorities, we need good Wi-Fi and a comfortable bed as these are deal breakers, and this condo had the best we have stayed in. We normally carry eight devices which connect to the internet and never had any issues with speed or signal strength. We normally carry our own kitchen knife and sharpener as we are Foodies, the kitchen in this unit was the best we have ever experienced. We had our five-year-old grandson with us and the pool and other amenities are the best we have experienced in Mexico, including hotels. We had the misfortune of my cell phone not being functional when we landed and as a result we were not able to call the property manager . The owners had installed a electronic lock and we were able to get into the condominium as soon as we arrived. Another pleasant surprise was that the consumable items you need right away where largely on hand, and as a result we did not have to immediately go shopping. We found the property manager quite reasonable to deal with and when the next door condo owner told the administration to shut off our water and gas by mistake, he had the problem corrected in 10 minutes. It is difficult to manage your condo from Canada however we usually received a response from Diane within 10 minutes I'm sending her an email. A large number of tourists who come to Mexico stay up late and party and make a significant amount of noise, because this unit was on the 20th floor, we did not feel the noise was beyond expected levels. We plan to stay here again in the future.

Un site exceptionnel

Tout c'est bien déroulé. Le seul bemol est la musique jusqu'à 11 hrs du soir et l'après midi quand on veut se reposer au bord de la piscine. Il faut se munir de bouchon d'oreilles pour attenuer le son.À éviter en temps de Pâques.

We really appreciate your review Gisele. The noise in the evening is primaily the subject of holidays and the weather. I wishi it was something we could control but it truly isn't. The good news is that we have been here for a month now,in high season and it is very quiet. We also have a supply of pre packaged EAR-PLUGS that cancel the sound all-to-gether... and for many people that helps 100%

Amazing Views

We loved staying here for 2.5 months this winter. We ate all our meals on balcony. We enjoyed parachute jumpers during our lunch and whales in early evening. There were fireworks 🎆 nearly every night. We also watched cruise ships coming and going into Port. The apartment was equipped excellently. Everything we needed in the kitchen and nice linens for bedrooms and bathrooms. The furniture is all very comfortable except for stools at dinning table but we always ate on balcony which can work well for 2 to 3 people. It was difficult for us to keep the floors totaly sand free on a daily basis a swiffer would helpwith this. I got Ester in to help with cleaning every other week she was amazing. Joshua our manager was a great help with many needs. He even got us an awesome guide for a day trip. The taxi stand in front also was a very nice feature. We will be staying here again next winter.

Fabulous Long Term Rental

We had a lovely 3 month stay at this condo! We rented the property to escape Seattle winter during Covid. Our family consists of two adults and two boys age 6 & 8. First, the condo itself is beautiful. Well equipt with everything you needed to cook and comfy beds. The on-site property managers and owners were so easy to communicate with and helpful. Best of all the property, pools and beach are top notch. Good location to get any where in PV easily. Nice restaurants with in walking distance. We would totally rent again!

Pretty On The Outside

We stayed 1- month at this condo on northwest side of building so we got no sun on small terrace and partial ocean view. Unfortunately, there is a noisy mall adjacent to condo towers and a there was a loud carnival across the street. It was high season and the place was packed with not enough lounge chairs at pools. We had a rough start from beginning with malfunctions such as no hot water off/on for a few days, as well as water shuts off at randomly. Terrible sewage gases coming out of the each drain hole in condo if not kept covered up with rubber cover. The lighting in the place was poor. The owner was notified by email and alerted his property manager (who seems to not want to be bothered) and also would not give us owners phone number. Things were fixed with exception of sewage gas problem and buffering TV streaming the entire time- vacation time is too precious to waste on these conditions. Owner acknowledge our inconvenience and discontent in the end and offered a dinner gift certificate, we asked for a small credit and didn't get.

TWO SIDES TO EVERY STORY and We take pride in our NEW CONDO and amenities we've added to provided all the comforts or home... These guests claimed they were "VERY FAMILIAR with PV and Mexican lifestyle".. which reminds me of things **such as interruptions in internet from time to time, celebratory noise from surrounding neighborhoods, general life in a popular tourist destination. I find it very uncomfortable that VRBO encouraged me to communicate with this guest to address her issues and by doing so she chose to provide negative feedback unless her rate was reduced by a specific cash amount. I suspect this isn't the first time this traveller has done something like this. This traveller is far from PRETTY ON THE INSIDE - Beware! Other owners need to be aware of this type of behaviour.

Pretty good!
