Gorgeous Grade 2 listed cottage in the quiet and beautiful village of Barnsley, near historic Cirencester and âthe prettiest village in the UKâ, Bibury.
The Pig Hotel is a few metres walk away, with beautiful grounds designed by famous gardener Rosemary Varey, and a stunning Kitchen Garden. The hotel also has a restaurant, bar and spa. The Pig also own âThe Village Pubâ over the road too! Restaurant and pub reservations are recommended, as they are both new and are VERY popular!! Recent winners of Best Countryside Hotel by The Times.
Entrance to Bluebell Cottage is via a driveway with private parking for two cars, with a very large garden behind. The garden looks onto fields on two sides (look out for the dairy cows!), has a large grassed area and a number of pretty floral garden beds. Garden amenities include hot tub, Weber gas BBQ and spacious outdoor dining/seating area with sun canopy. There is also a small ânature pondâ and a âsummer houseâ with kids games and activities inside.
The cottage is spread over two floors and access is to the rear via a small boot/utility room. The ground floor includes a living room with wood-burning fire and adjacent TV and games âsnugâ. There is a kitchen/dining room with raised kitchen overlooking the dining area and its patio doors onto the garden. There is also a hallway and a ground floor toilet.
The second floor has three bedrooms and one family bathroom with a bath (over shower). The main bedroom has a King bed (U.K. Super-King), the second bedroom can be configured as a twin room or queen (U.K. King bed) and the third small bedroom has a bunk bed.
There is high-speed internet; please note that phone reception is patchy throughout the Cotswolds, and Bluebell Cottage is no exception!

Family of 5 who bought Bluebell Cottage 5 years ago and have spent time and care modernising the cottage. The interiors have been refreshed with locally designed fabrics throughout and elegant design touches; the gardens have had floral beds restored, and a large hot tub added as well as a large outdoor seating area in the sunshine. Weâre delighted with all the 5 star reviews weâve received from guests and still frequently use the cottage ourselves.

Bluebell is such a cosy space - a Grade 2 listed cottage, it has the unique Cotswolds stone, which makes it picture-perfect, as well as wooden beams throughout.
The garden is to die for! Overlooking a large lush lawn, with open green farmerâs fields beyond.. and the occasional dairy cow! A large hot tub amongst the well-tended floral garden means you can enjoy bubbles in the bubbles and enjoy the view.
