Das Well Cottage bietet den Charme eines ruhigen und erholsamen Urlaubs mit modernen Annehmlichkeiten wie WLAN. Dieses freistehende Cottage aus Cotswold-Stein ist gut proportioniert und verfügt über geräumige Zimmer. Es liegt wunderschön abseits des Geschäftsviertels der Hauptstraße, nur 50 Meter vom Fluss Windrush entfernt und nur 2 Gehminuten vom Dorfzentrum entfernt. Es wurde liebevoll restauriert mit originalen Holzbalkendecken und einem großen Kamin mit Holzofen. Der Cottage Garden ist um einen originalen Brunnen herum angelegt und bietet viele Arten von Iris 'im Mai, Lavendel, Kräutern und viele Rosensträucher. Es gibt einen privaten Parkplatz für 1 Auto mit einer großen, weit öffnenden Auffahrt und einen Parkplatz für ein zweites Auto in der Nähe der Unterkunft. Die Lounge ist wunderschön mit sorgfältig ausgewählten Einzelmöbeln und einem luxuriösen bequemen englischen Sofa eingerichtet. All the Artwork wurde ausgewählt, um einige der lokalen Cotswold-Talente zu demonstrieren. Das Obergeschoss wurde mit Teppichboden ausgelegt und verfügt über hochwertige Bettwäsche. und englische Handtücher. Beautiful little cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at Well Cottage. The quaint little house is perfectly equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The location is ideal in the centre of the village, but at the same time completely quiet. Dawn, together with her mother, quickly takes care of all the guests' concerns and emergencies. The cottage is in a perfect location. A few steps away from the river walk but just tucked away around the corner enough that you are away from the busy main area. We used it as a base for some long walks out into the countryside (especially liked the Windrush Way hike) and easy walk to places for dinner. Walking to both Lower and Upper Slaughter is a must! There were only two of us. Would be a bit cosy if you actually had five people in there. We became accustomed to catching the bus to go to Moreton in Marsh and from there you will find a lot of bus/train connections to explore other areas. Went on a day visit to Chipping Camden which is lovely. The church there is a must see! On a rainy afternoon, we visited the Motoring Museum and it was a very pleasant surprise. We were amazed at how big it actually is. When we left, we took the train from Moreton in Marsh to London Paddington which took just over an hour. There is no train station in Bourton on the Water.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful 16th-century cottage. The property is full of character and charm, with many original features that really add to the atmosphere, yet it’s been thoughtfully updated to ensure modern comfort.The cottage was spotlessly clean on arrival, and the beds were extremely comfortable — we slept very well. The shower was excellent, with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. While the bath was a little high, it’s a minor point and didn’t detract from the overall comfort.The location is fantastic — peaceful yet convenient — and we really appreciated the off-street parking. One of the highlights was the lovely cream tea waiting for us when we arrived. It was such a thoughtful and welcoming touch from the hosts.Overall, a delightful place to stay, blending historic charm with modern convenience. We would absolutely return!

Wonderful 16th Cottage.

My wife and son had the most delightful 4 night stay in this wonderful cottage in the heart of Boughton with only 2 mins walk to the centre. From begining to end everything was a breeze. Ease of location, parking, entry, cleanliness upstairs downstairs, comfort, good facilities, overall it was perfect. Even on arrival the owners had left a "sweet"surprise for my wife's celebration - a very nice touch for our stay. Thank you.I fully recomend this beautiful property for any length of stay.

Well Cottage is absolutely charming in every way! Great location, well appointed, and very clean with comfy beds and a great bathroom. (note: the bathtub/shower can be pretty high to step into for older or disabled folks but you can hold on to the sink to help you in--see the photos). About 9 steps to get upstairs. Bourton-on-the-Water is just a lovely village! A lot of other people must think so too--lots of tourists but they are well behaved, mostly families. Would love to stay there again. Just a magical little place to stay!

A wonderful stai in the Cotswolds

We spent a relaxing 2 weeks in this gorgeous period cottage. Dawn and Bette were excellent hosts and have attended to every need. Comfortable bedding, quiet and very cosy surroundings. Although only a couple of minutes from the main street it is very private and quiet. We made an excellent choice, we would recommend it to anyone looking for a base in the Cotswolds.

10/10. What a fantastic place inside and out. Absolutely spotless, comfortable, you couldn't ask for better hosts. Friendly neighbours and a great ice-cream guy at the end of the street. Cutest cottage in the Cotswolds!

Dawn does not miss a single detail in making this cottage more than special. To mention a few key items that made our stay perfect: the linens (!), very comfortable beds, high end equipped kitchen, comfortable furniture to relax on after long hikes in the beautiful countryside, sweet outdoor sitting area - and Dawn as our host! Home was built in 1600’s and thoughtfully preserved with all the modern touches that made our stay very comfortable. The cottage is less than 2 blocks from town and has its own parking space. Town gets busy but what a quiet oasis to come home to! Dawn, thank you for sharing this rare gem!

This charming cottage, built in the 16th century, is nestled in the heart of the village. Within a stone’s throw, you’ll find a bakery, a pharmacy, and a supermarket. For a more extensive grocery selection, there’s a larger COOP just a 10-minute walk away. Additionally, there are several walking paths nearby, eliminating the need to drive. A perfect cottage.

Well cottage is delightful and has the benefit of off-street parking - very important in Bourton. It is in a perfect location, being very close to the centre of the village but in a quiet road.The property was spotlessly clean, well-equipped and as such had everything I needed for a relaxing break.The owner is very hands on and nothing was too much trouble. I enjoyed the fruit, cheese and biscuits that were provided!I would definitely recommend this property.

Charming Cottage

Very cute place to stay. There were several issues that came with staying in an older place but we dealt with it since our stay was short. The location was absolutely perfect! The hosts were fantastic. One thing I would like to say is that the ceiling is very low so if you are tall, you will have to crouch while walking around. But since we spent most of our time out sightseeing, it wasn't a big deal. We loved how charming this place was. Also a big plus was having a parking space right in front of the property. There is a small grocery store withing short walking distance where we got some essentials like water and breakfast items. There are also some wonderful restaurants right around the corner. My family loved it and my husband still talks about this cottage to friends.

Great Stay

This was a great cottage to base yourself in the Cotswold’s. The two minute walk to the village was a great feature of this cottage as well as the parking spot. I enjoyed the fire and the beautiful surrounds. I would recommend a stay.

Well Cottage is owned by my Mum, Bette. Both my Mum and I run Well Cottage as a business and enjoy sharing this property with others. We love the fact that Well Cottage is an unusual and unique property which has not 'not had its heart removed giving guests a truly authentic experience of modern meeting 16th Century. Once in the cottage you will feel its charm and feel its the peace of time in this detached cottage with an original Well in the Garden and having so much history and character attached to it. It was a "gem of a find" when my Mum and Dad originally bought it back in 1994 and we will never want to sell it!

Bourton on the water has so much in itself to offer with its river and beautiful bridges, many boutique style shops, antiques, perfumery and lovely cafe's and restaurants - all within a 2 min walk. Attractions are Birdland, Motor Museum, The Model Village, Hawkstone Brewery and the wonderful Greystones Farm Nature Reserve to walk through. There are many trails around the village to enjoy leading you to other villages nearby such as The Slaughters.
