1 Moonrakers in Carbis Bay is managed by St Ives Holiday Cottage Agency, Orange Roofs. Be sure to look for Orange Roofs to find exciting drone footage of 1 Moonrakers.

1 Moonrakers is a 3-bedroom duplex apartment with breathtaking sea views from two of the three bedrooms, the living/ dining room and also the two spacious sun terraces. There is a super king size bedroom with direct access to the upper terrace that has outdoor furniture and a hot tub (please note, there is an extra fee if you wish to use the hot tub) as well as incredible sea views and an ensuite shower room. There is also a second super king size bedroom on the ground floor with stupendous views that can be configured as a twin bedroom if desired. The third bedroom is a double bedroom. There is a family bathroom on the ground floor with a bath and shower over, WC and wash basin.

There is a fully-equipped kitchen with washing machine, dryer, oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and microwave. There is a fabulously large and comfortable sofa in the living area with a 70 inch TV and a dining table in front of tri-fold doors that lead out onto a large sun terrace with an outdoor sofa.

There is a convenient outdoor shower to wash off sand from wetsuits and sandy bodies before going into the apartment. There is a parking space for one car directly outside the apartment (15 steps lead down from the parking space to the front door) and there is a potential option of on-street parking for a second car.

1 Moonrakers is a very short walk from Carbis Bay Beach and, if you follow the coastal path into St Ives, you reach Porthminster Beach in St Ives after a 15 minute stroll. Carbis Bay train station is a a few minutes drive away and St Ives is a 5-minute drive from the apartment. If you want to leave the car at the apartment, there is a bus stop a 5-8 minute walk away from the apartment.

All bed linen and towels are provided. Beach towels not included.

One small, very well-mannered, trained and educated dog is welcome at 1 Moonrakers not to exceed 12kgs in weight. Please note a pet fee applies and will be added to your booking. Please state the age, sex and breed of your dog when booking.

Dogs are not allowed to toilet on either of the terraces and if there are signs of this after your departure, extra clean fees will apply.

If you need a travel cot or high chair, these are not provided so please contact Star Linen hire in St Ives who can provide these for the duration of your stay and deliver directly to the property.

We really hope that once you're on holiday you are happily self-sufficient by using this 'Essential Info' guide and also the 'Property Folder' which is a guide to your holiday home. It is where you find detailed instructions to work appliances, heating and troubleshooting if needs be (we know things may need a reset or switch off/ on again sometimes for what feels like no reason whatsoever!) We will alert you of the key safe code at your check in time of 4pm (this check-in time is specific to this property) on the day of your arrival via the App followed by a text and then email. If the property is ready any earlier, please be assured we will be in touch with the key safe code prior to the set check-in time.

Please remember to have downloaded the App before you set off from home for your holiday. If your property is in an area of no reception, as long as you have downloaded the App, it will show you the key safe code at check in time. Please ensure the app is set to 'auto update' on the app store.

The keys will be placed in the key safe at the property ready for check in, so you are free to arrive at the house anytime from the check in time onwards. Please always leave a key in the key safe box when you go out during your holiday in case of emergencies, thank you.

Key safe location: The key safe for 1 Moonrakers is to the right of the front door

Opening the key safe: Push down the black cover to expose the number dials (if not already exposed). Enter the key safe code so that the code is in alignment with the raise line. Once you have entered the code push the small black lever to the left of the number downwards (from floor to ceiling, not push inwards/depress) and the door will release forward to access the keys.

Opening the door to the property: To open the door, insert the key and turn the key to the right until you hear/feel the lock mechanism unlock, then using the handle open the door. To lock, close the door and then lift the handle upwards, before turning the key to the left.

If any spillages or accidents occur during your holiday, please contact us immediately so we can attempt to rectify the issue as soon as possible. Excessive cleaning or difficult to remove stains may incur an extra charge. Equally, if you find anything on your arrival that you would like to be rectified, please do contact us as soon into your holiday as possible so we can do what we can to help. Check out is 10am and we kindly ask you to respect this in order for the changeover teams to do their jobs punctually. Please be aware that any additional costs and charges incurred due to a late check out will be passed on to the guest.

When you leave on your day of departure, please lock the door and ensure you leave one set of keys in the key safe box and the other within the property.

We ask that you text the housekeeper 24 hours before you leave the property to give them an estimated time of departure. You will find their contact details under the final dropdown heading on the app. It would be great if you could also confirm by text when you have left. If you can't see the housekeepers number below, please ensure the app is updated to the latest version.

It would be fantastic if you would review your stay either using the App or a review invite which will be emailed to you. Your private comments for constructive feedback is also most welcome so we can continue to improve.

N.B. On your departure at the end of your holiday, we ask you leave the property tidied (we don't mean a full clean but presentable and respectfully left for the housekeepers), outside area swept of any sand left during your stay, dishwasher emptied and all rubbish bins emptied and refuse removed from the property.

Finally, before departure make sure to do a last sweep of the house for left items. Any left items discovered by the team after your arrival will be stored at the office for 2 weeks and will then be donated. We are able to return items to you via post for a charge of £10 + postage fees + VAT. Directions to 1 Moonrakers

Directions:

Please don't rely on sat nav because it will take you to a different location - please follow these directions:
Follow the A30 towards St Ives until you pass a garden centre (Dobbies Garden Centre) on your right and you reach a large round about.
Take the 2nd exit to St Ives towards Lelant and Carbis Bay. Drive through the village of Lelant towards Carbis Bay.
Enter Carbis Bay and you will pass some shops, a church and a hotel called Gannet House on your left hand side. 
There will be a cafe called ‘Yvette’s Pantry’ on the left hand side, take the first right after Yvette’s onto ‘Pannier Lane’. This is not far before the miniature roundabout by Tesco, if you hit this roundabout you have gone slightly too far and you need to come back on yourself!.
Drive down and then along Pannier Lane, and near the end you will see a left turn (sign posted no through road) onto ‘Parc Owles (The road name sign is below the no-through-road sign).
Drive down onto Parc Owles and the road will swing around to the left, then once you follow this road along you will see a group of 5 garages on the right hand side (with blue doors). 
The parking space for 1 Moonrakers is outside the very right hand side garage, labelled with a ‘1’.
Once out of the car, the front door for 1 Moonrakers can be found by walking down the right hand side of the garages, and then taking the first left when going down the steps.
