This is a great little apartment in an excellent location. We loved staying here. The street below can be a little noisy at night but it didn’t bother us too much. If you’re staying longer than a couple days you might need to buy your own toilet paper, hand and dish soap, paper towels and trash bags as there wasn’t any extra at the apartment. Overall it was great and we would stay there again when we come back to Paris.

It was a perfect location. It introduced me to an area that I had never seen before and it was so fun. It was lively downstairs but very nice and calm upstairs. The room was fantastic. Clean, functional and adorable. I definitely felt like I was staying in a part of history.

***DO NOT BOOK*** What a disaster. At no point did the listing state that the rental was on the 4th floor, and the directions for locating the correct door were so vague that we had to try our key in random doors first to find the correct one. Once we found the spot (there was no markings on the door), we found multiple types of mold in the bathroom and bugs flying around. The management would not refund us. After a day of back and forth with the property, EXPEDIA took over and fully refunded our stay as it was not safe to stay in this filthy spot. There were many other things that made this space uncomfortable: -Dirty floors with hair and dust clumps everywhere -Garbage still in the trash -No wine key (I KNOW!) -No batteries in the remote -Broken fan -Blinds don't fully cover the window and were covered in dust All this and there is an unmentioned $800 deposit that they request a week in advance. It has been over a week and a half, and we haven't yet received the deposit back.

This property has a lot going for it and also some easy opportunities for improvement. The location is fantastic right in the heart of the action of the Marais with wonderful food and shopping steps away.The unit is on the third floor above the ground floor, which means it’s a hike up and down the stairs with luggage but it’s also got some good sound isolation with the windows closed.The unit is compact but arranged well so that it doesn’t feel cramped. I loved the separate elevated bedroom compartment. The space around the bed is tight with steps leading up to it, so something to be aware of.I loved all the natural light in the space— that’s truly one of its best qualities. The bed and furniture are also comfortable. Bathroom and kitchen compact but totally functional. The space is also beautiful with a really nice color palette that goes well with the exposed beams. It’s cozy and bright.A few key opportunities for improvement: there are some extraneous items in the unit that could be removed or replaced like a broken pedestal fan (thankfully there was a functional table top fan available) that take up precious storage space where clothing could go.Finally, for the amount of communication with the host up front, I was frustrated after 24 hours of travel that they seemingly forgot that I had paid for (with mutual communication and agreement) an extra night so that I could check in early. It did not seem like they would honor that until I involved VRBO support.
