Tucked away on a private 6 acre estate in Oakenshaw near Durham, our handcrafted Finnish log cabin offers eco-luxury, stunning countryside views, and serene surroundings. Perfect for couples or families, or even a friends reunion.

Just 7 miles from Durham City and Bishop Auckland, it’s a magical escape where nature, design, and tranquillity meet. The space is an entertainment zone but also a peaceful sanctuary to reconnect, relax, and unwind.

Our bespoke Finnish log cabin is set on our peaceful private estate in Oakenshaw. Built from slow-grown Nordic pine, it features a wood-fired hot tub, underfloor heating. Enjoy stunning countryside views, a pool table, retro arcade, bar area, and a retractable 83” screen for movies. Ideal for couples or families seeking a luxurious, nature-filled retreat with soul. Authentic timber construction creates a warm, natural atmosphere. Private outdoor patio / conservatory for coffee at sunrise or stargazing after dark.

Inside, the cabin is cosy and inviting. The open-plan living area is centred around a comfortable lounge, perfect for curling up with a book or enjoying a glass of wine after a day outdoors. The kitchen comes fully equipped for everything from hearty breakfasts or BBQ's outside, the dining area makes mealtimes relaxed and social.

Fabulous views across fields and woodland, offering a real sense of seclusion. Cosy interiors with carefully chosen décor that celebrates rustic living while providing modern comfort. It’s also a wonderful add-on to family gatherings or group stays at the main Residence, giving guests their own private haven while still being part of the larger experience.

In the morning, open the blinds to sunlight filtering through the trees; at night, fall asleep to the gentle quiet of the countryside. A modern bathroom completes the space, with fresh towels and thoughtful touches to make your stay easy and enjoyable.

Guests can use all of the space but the outdoor areas you may see the odd person or child as its our family home also.
