Holzofen im Wohnzimmer (Brennstoff eingeschlossen). Geschlossene Terrasse und Möbel auf zwei Ebenen. Grill. Whirlpool.. Das Old Hall Cottage Nr. 1 ist über die Gasse neben dem Old Hall zugänglich. Es handelt sich um einen aus Stein gebauten Umbau, der nur 15 Autominuten von der historischen Stadt Durham mit ihrer Hauptbahnverbindung und Bishop Auckland, der Heimat der Fürstbischöfe auf der Auckland Castle, entfernt liegt. Diese Ferienimmobilie verfügt über einen privaten Sitzbereich im Freien auf zwei Ebenen mit Gartenblick und einen eigenen Whirlpool auf der oberen Terrasse, der für 4 Erwachsene geeignet ist. Er steht ausschließlich den Gästen in diesem Cottage zur Verfügung. Der Platz hat keinen Durchgangsverkehr und ist ein reichhaltiger Zufluchtsort für Vögel und wild lebende Tiere, mit Spaziergängen vor der Tür, Angeln am Fluss Wear (Genehmigung erhältlich) und Radwegen. Dies ist das Tor zu den Durham Dales, Weardale und Teesdale, mit Pracht im Raby Castle und Bowes Museum, industriellem Erbe in Killhope, Beamish und Shildon. Besuchen Sie Keilder Water, Hadrians Wall, die Northumberland Coast und den Lake District. Kaufen Sie 2 Meilen, Pub und Restaurant ¼ Meile.

Comfy and cosy

A charming old cottage, basic but very clean and comfortable. Lovely soft beds, well appointed kitchen and a lovely warm hot tub. Welcome pack of tea,coffee, milk and wine, plus kitchen and toilet rolls on arrival. Just one thing ladies, take your jewellery off before going in the tub. The chemicals used to keep it safe and hygienic will tarnish it, particularly silver. Overall excellent value in a secluded and private location. Would certainly go again

Really lovely cottage, very nice to stay in for the weekend. We had great communication from the owners so we were able to get straight in with no contact (covid precaution). The hot tub was ready to jump straight in which was great, fab size and lovely and clean. We had everything we needed provided in the cottage and there was a great welcome pack with things like salt and pepper, tea and biscuits and even a treat in the fridge for us. The only very small negatives I would have was that the seating in the loving room isn't too comfy so not ideal for relaxing on with a book. We also found the front door lock quite tricky and had an awkward 5 minutes trying to get back in at one point. Those very small negatives aside we really liked the cottage and will be looking to book in again. Thank you so much! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Owners could not be more friendly and efficient. Thoughtful and generous (very!) welcome packs on arrival. Cottage could not have been any cleaner! The photos do not show just how luxurious this cottage this, it is stunning with the best views seconds away. Hot tub is so private and hot. Log fire at night was a lovely end to the day. 100% would recommend and will be back. I know some reviews have mentioned its near a housing estate......you would never know! It is private and please walk as the sunsets to the nearby fields, you will love it Also pop in to Thomas Wright House. Really lovely stay at this cosy cottage - with ample use of the conveniently located and private hot tub! Very little to fault, only reason I haven't scored it perfect 10 for comfort is that the sofa in the living room was quite small and not ideal for relaxing in - otherwise no complaints! We also had a lovely meal at the nearby restaurant that the cottage owner also owns - very friendly staff - and a lovely walk along the River Wear which is practically on the cottage's doorstep. This cottage was just perfect for my friend and family. The cleanliness was spot on!! And welcome gifts were a lovely touch It has a lovely cozy feel to it and the beds were very comfortable. Kitchen and bathroom lovely too and again all very clean. There were robes and slippers provided and plenty towels too. The hot tub was nice to relax in plus the great thing about it was that it had a wooden roof/pergola over the tub so can be used all year round!! I booked this for my fiances 30th birthday.

I booked this for my fiances 30th birthday. The cottage was amazing and the hot tub really set it off. We went with a couple of friends and weren't aware that you weren't allowed to wear lotions or fake tan. We rang and asked if the water could be changed but they just sprayed it with stuff and said it would clear. It didn't so the second day we couldn't use it unfortunately. The first night both beds just collapsed all the latts fell out so we had to put them back together and tighten them up. Other then tbat the stay was great
