Villa Gina is a spacious, south facing villa that provides the perfect setting for large families or groups to enjoy a peaceful holiday in the unspoilt Garfagnana area of Tuscany.
The villa has a secluded pool and a large garden that gives guests ample space to relax and appreciate the views over the village of Sommocolonia and the Apuan mountains.
During hot weather the mountain location, thick walls and external shutters enable the house to stay comfortably cool.

Property Highlights:

Each of the 7 spacious bedrooms has good storage, comfortable beds and high-quality bed linen and towels. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, and there are 2 further bathrooms, one with a bath and the second with a shower. One 2nd floor bedroom benefits from its own private terrace overlooking the pool.

The 2 large rooms on the ground floor of the villa (kitchen/diner and living room) are perfect for socializing and spending time together. Both have double doors that open directly onto the south facing terrace and garden, allowing light and air to flood into the house.

The new kitchen is fully equipped with a large island for food preparation, a fridge/freezer, electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and a comprehensive range of cookware. The long table in the dining area extends to seat up to 14 guests.

Within the living room there is a cosy area with comfortable seating, an internet connected TV, a DVD player and a bluetooth speaker, There is also a second, more flexible, sitting area by the double doors that open onto the garden that provides lots of room for children to play out of the sun during the heat of the day.

The private pool, 7m x 4m and 1.2m deep, is not overlooked and the surrounding terrace has plenty of sun beds. This lovely spot is ideal for sunbathing, taking a refreshing dip or simply relaxing. The pool is in full sun until late afternoon, but a gazebo provides some shade. 2 lockable gates enable the pool area to be completely closed off if required.

The garden has a range of seating options so that guests can relax, read, play games or just enjoy the view. A row of beautiful lime trees gives welcome shade for alfresco meals at lunchtime, and when the lights in the trees are on in the evening this is the perfect setting for enjoying drinks and a magical dinner below the stars.

At the back of the villa there is private parking for 3/4 vehicles, with direct access to the house (good for loading and unloading). Free parking is also available nearby, in a public parking area.

Villa Gina is on the edge of the beautiful medieval mountain village of Sommocolonia, but is only a 10 minute drive away from the bustling town of Barga, with its shops, Saturday market, many excellent, reasonably priced restaurants and varied cultural activities.
