Villa Contessa can be found near the town of Sarteano, in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, with the advantage of a magnificent view over one of the most beautiful areas of Tuscany, between Valdichiana and Val d’Orcia.

Guests can enjoy breathtaking views and infinite horizons, take walks in the green hills and follow the research into the origin of the Etruscans.

Contessa is a charming villa which dates back to the 1500 hundreds and was originally a convent. It has been restored in a way which, while brining out its antique beauty, has the design and comfort of modern technology. The agricultural azienda is today presented as a beautiful stone building surrounded by 65 hectares of hilly countryside.

Surrounded by oaks and cypress trees is the beautiful private pool where the guests can relax in the comfort of modern outdoor furnishings, sun bake or sip an evening cocktail in absolute poolside relax. In the garden there is a BBQ area where you can spend pleasant evenings, surrounded by magnificent greenery. La contessa is a “refuge” where luxury meets the beauty of nature for a relaxing and regenerating holiday.

Handcrafted furniture and a modern eye for color breathe new life into this 16th-century former convent set between Tuscany’s Val di Chiana and Val d’Orcia. The interiors have been tastefully renovated in 2021 by the designer who desired a modern style combined with a few traditional items. All the bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning, TV and elegant en suite bathrooms beautifully decorated by travertine marble.

The main villa boasts a gym, and an indoor splash pool with hydro massage, while the guest house is equipped with a billiard room.
