Warning - Lack of transparency about these properties! The road to our rental was scary which may have been ok if we had been told about it. The pictures of the ocean view were misleading, we had a minimal view. There was loud construction, and again, the owners seemed aware of the noise and didn’t tell us. The WiFi didn’t work. The hot water wasn’t consistent. The mattresses were SO hard. The lights in the unit were uncomfortably bright. It just wasn’t a fun or relaxing experience. When I expressed frustration there seemed little flexibility for them to make autonomous decisions without running it through the corporate leaders, they wouldn't offer a discount. 2 out of 5, do not recommend. Only redeeming feature was us having space.

We were rather surprised to read your review, particularly as it paints a rather dramatic picture of what is, in reality, a perfectly normal and well-loved property. To clarify your main concern: there is indeed a road to the villa — as one would expect — and for the final 50 metres, it becomes an unmade track. This is quite standard across Greece, where local roads can be rustic in character, adding to the charm of being in the Mediterranean rather than a suburban development. The track is flat, safe, and free from any dangerous drops or steep inclines, so describing it as “scary” might be a touch of an overstatement. We have hosted countless guests over several years and not a single one has ever mentioned the road as an issue. As for the view, the photographs are entirely accurate and verified — they show precisely what is visible from the villa. The Wi-Fi, hot water, and lighting all function normally, but of course, we understand that technology and ambience can be perceived differently depending on expectations. We also note your comments about the mattress — naturally, it’s impossible to find one firmness that pleases everyone, though the owner has invested in excellent quality beds. Interestingly, many returning guests have specifically commented on how comfortable they are. It’s also worth reminding that our local team offered you a complimentary upgrade to a higher-category villa, entirely free of charge, which you declined. This generous offer somehow did not make its way into your review. We’re sorry you didn’t find your stay “fun or relaxing.” Greece did experience some unusual weather during your visit, which may have contributed more to your mood than the property itself.
